AN: I told you, plot bunnies are dangerous creatures. I don't know why people think they're cute and cuddly, they're worse than cats (which I absolutely ADORE (albeit only when they're mine or being extra cute) btw). It's like the Monty Python bunny... haha.
AN2: Ok, so the summary is not quite accurate, it's missing further details, which will be uncovered within the story. :) Pretty sure this will just be a short (less than 10? chapters).

Chapter 1
–
"No, seriously, he totally shot milk out of his nose that day but it was orange because of the carrots he ate earlier!"
Laughter greeted Kurt's story and Jeff scowled at him, arms crossed sitting back in his chair moodily. "Yeah, yeah, just wait until I tell them the story of you splitting your pants." They were regaling each other about stories they'd garnered over the summer. Kurt had spent the summer in New York with Jeff and Sebastian.
"You just told the punchline." Sebastian said, dropping his arm around the back of Kurt's chair and dropping a kiss onto the top of his head. Kurt turned his head so he could get another on his cheek. Sebastian laughed and complied. "Don't I get one on the lips, too?" He breathed huskily into Kurt's ear. Kurt turned and pressed one quickly to Sebastian's mouth.
Most didn't even seem to notice or recognize what they'd done, it was common place enough. Them not kissing would have been odd, even if they couldn't quite place why it was. There was one guy though at the table who just sighed and watched it with longing in his eyes. Another of the guys elbowed him and hissed in his ear at the same time and the guy sat up straighter and looked away before controlling his features and trying to match the others around them.
Nick threw a pretzel at the two of them, it bounced just short of them. "I want to hear this story. Go on Jeff."
"Thank you Nick!" Jeff said exasperated. "It was when we went to Coney Island. For whatever reason Kurt thought it was a good idea to wear the tightest pants imaginable."
"Hey!" Kurt protested and Sebastian chuckled, both already knew where he was going with that. "I always wear tight pants." Sebastian nodded, very much appreciative of it.
"Yeah but we were going on rides Kurt, water rides."
"Sooo?" Kurt asked right back, not seeing his point and usually water had the benefit of helping someone slip into a pair that might be too tight.
"Well, it was heat of summer with an ocean breeze carrying salt in the wind and so the pants flash dried so every move he made creaked and when he went to sit down, split!" Jeff made sound effects and the whole table roared with laughter.
Kurt was a bit pink in response to the graphic way he told the ending. Jeff could have a future in story-telling. Sebastian chuckled, he'd been there and had seen it for himself. Thankfully he always wore a loose long button down to combat the sun in the summer. So he'd been able to wrap the arms around his hips and let the shirt cover the split. Kurt had been a good sport and hadn't demanded to go home. Sebastian had not been helpful in the slightest, he kept reaching between the shirt and Kurt's butt and sliding his fingers into the newest opening with all sorts of inappropriate comments and suggestions.
Even now, Sebastian just let him handle this on his own but he did open his arms if Kurt wanted to hide his face against his shoulder. If that was how Kurt wanted to handle it. Instead he got a small punch to his upper arm and Kurt turned his head away with his nose up in the air. Sebastian didn't let that set and without warning, Kurt was out of his chair and instantly on Sebastian's lap with his arms wrapped around him and his chin on his shoulder. Sebastian pressed a kiss to Kurt's neck just for extra measure.
Kurt instantly sagged against him, melting into his hold. He had no intention of fighting him and it always felt good to be in his arms this way. If he'd been really upset, he may have sat primly and arched away from him, but that was a pretty rare sight to see. Sebastian's mouth brushed against his neck again, the smile easy to detect even if he didn't feel it. He just knew Sebastian far too well to not know what faces he would be making at any given time.
The conversation drifted to the others' summer vacation. Sebastian had already missed the tale about his embarrassing moments. "Have you been down here long?" He asked, not paying too close attention to the others, he'd heard most of these stories already pretty shortly after they occurred. Kurt had too.
"Mmm..." Kurt glanced at his wrist and the time popped up for him to see in bright bold numbers. "Half hour, maybe."
"You should have woken me up." Sebastian's nose brushed up along the tendon on Kurt's neck and he shivered in response. It was always a sure spot to get a reaction.
Kurt tried to get his breath back in line and it took him a moment to do so. "You were sleeping so deeply, I didn't want to disturb you." Kurt rolled his eyes. "Not that you ever have a problem doing the same in return."
"I wake you up for things other than food and conversation. You've never complained before." Sebastian nipped at Kurt's ear and Kurt didn't even try to move out of the way, knowing Sebastian wouldn't actually nip him, not in public like this at least. Then his tone turned a little moody. "Our resident mooner is back this year."
"He's harmless." Kurt promised, leaning back into Sebastian even more, laying his hands over Sebastian's where they rested on his belly. "He's just in love with the idea of love and we're the picture book definition. He's just... envious and wants to soak it up by proxy."
"As long as he doesn't try to interfere." Sebastian grumbled.
Kurt did turn his head that time and pressed a kiss to Sebastian's cheek. "He wouldn't dare." Mostly because he wouldn't dream of crossing Sebastian. Also because the two had been best friends for as long as Kurt had known them, which was quite some time. Kurt's arrival had changed the dynamics a little, he'd become both of their best friends for a time. The three were still very good friends, but he and Sebastian had started to date and it shifted things again. Their friendship circle had grown and the idea of 'best' was replaced.
Sebastian and Kurt had been having this conversation for a year, ever since Blaine begun staring at them, having difficulty tearing his eyes away from them. Perhaps it was him wanting love, perhaps it was his sexual awakening, whatever it was, they became his primary observation. When Nick and Jeff came out of the closet and announced they too were dating, Blaine's eyes would linger on them too, just not with quite the same intensity.
Nick and Jeff weren't quite as open with PDA either, not that Kurt wanted to be quite as open as Sebastian was with it. They were also a very different couple to Sebastian and Kurt. They just were. They interacted differently with each other, but it was clear they liked each other a lot, maybe even loved. Kurt was still holding his jury in deliberation for that one before they came up with a verdict. There wasn't quite enough evidence yet to make a decision, they were still a fairly new couple.
It had been Wes that had prompted Blaine to look away. He knew it was bordering on creepy when Blaine stared like that. Yet, what Kurt said was true, it had been a year and all Blaine ever did was look. He hadn't made any commentary or acted inappropriately with either him or Sebastian when they were on their own.
Suddenly Kurt snorted and amused grins crossed several faces, they didn't get him that good usually but they always aimed for that ultimate prize. It had been David's doing this time as he told them about Wes and Blaine's outing to try and buy records. It had just been too funny and even Kurt, who hadn't been listening as closely as he would have normally, couldn't help but crack up at their efforts. "Apparently vinyl has had it's second life extinguished." David shook his head sadly.
"At least with the masses." Blaine grumbled. "They didn't have to be so rude about it. If I had known that a music store wouldn't sell me anything, I would have just gone to my usual vendor."
"Mmh... your butt is vibrating." Sebastian teased Kurt just as he felt it himself. Sometimes he swore he got ghost vibrations but knew this time it was real.
Kurt shifted and reached for his phone but brushed something that was definitely not his phone. "Sebastian!" He hissed in partial annoyance and partial amusement.
"Not my fault your phone is in the same pocket side that I tend to choose when getting ready in the morning." He laughed and reached between them to help Kurt out, pulling the phone out easily.
"Yeah, but it's not usually something that I can bump against so easily."
"You're in my lap, after what we did last night, I can't help but find this position provocative."
"Everything's provocative." Kurt shifted so he wasn't sitting on him in quite the same way.
"When it comes to you, yes." Sebastian agreed. "That story about split pants hadn't helped." Kurt shuddered in remembered pleasure when Sebastian's words brought up memories of their trip to Coney that Jeff hadn't been privy to. He had gone to the bathroom and then for some food, they had gone somewhere else in that same amount of time. "Not going to help me out?"
Kurt was feeling his own potential for embarrassment building and he shook his head, sliding out of Sebastian's lap and back onto his previously occupied chair. "This is the best I can do at the moment."
"Spoilsport." Sebastian wasn't too heated though and he became serious when Kurt finally looked at his phone and grew tense. "What is it?"
"It's my dad." He flicked open the text message. His dad wasn't exactly the most eloquent man and he wasn't the most tech savvy either and so the message was a bit choppy but Kurt read it clearly. He grew cold and Sebastian's hand splayed out onto his back, a usually delicious contrast but today it just highlighted his shock and offered some comfort.
"Kurt?" Sebastian moved closer, his chest warming Kurt's back as he wrapped around him. "What is it? What does he want?"
"He wants me to come home this weekend." Kurt's thumb rubbed against the edge of his phone, still not believing it. "He wants me to meet his girlfriend."
Sebastian made a small sound of comfort. "Did you know he was dating?"
"No... no." Kurt closed his phone and shoved it into his pocket. It always ended up in a different pocket with no rhyme or reason. "I didn't know he did that, I didn't know he was interested in dating or wanting to find someone, not since mom died."
"Well, you couldn't exactly expect him to spend his entire life alone, surely? He has you and not much else." Thad spoke and gulped nervously when two pairs of eyes shot up to him with venom due to his words. "Sorry, that came out wrong."
"Yeah, it did, keep your mouth shut on things you don't understand." Sebastian snapped. His tone at odds with his protective and comforting gestures with Kurt. Thad shrank back and held his hands up in surrender. He then went back to his food, pushing it around on his plate, no longer even hungry.
"Kurt? Will you go home this weekend?" Blaine asked from across the table, concern also in his eyes.
Kurt's lips twisted. "I have no other choice or reason not to."
"We can go with you." Blaine offered and Kurt's shoulders sagged, touched by the suggestion and knowing that if nothing else, he'd always have these boys.
"It's ok, thanks though." He glanced over to Sebastian, he hadn't been including him in that.
"Oh, I'm coming." Sebastian promised, there was nowhere else he had to be and it wouldn't matter if he had some other kind of commitment. Nothing could keep him from Kurt's side in this.
