Inari is a halfbreed from the north and she wants to join on the Quest of Erebor. However, as time goes on she notices that the Sons of Durin are hiding something. Something that has to do with their monthly disappearnces. When she finds out what it is her life will be forever changed as will her relationship with a certain dwarf.

Thorin will have to renounce everything, his prejudices, his ideas, his alliances, for his "treasure" and his people. On the other hand, a half elf divided between two races, will have to reckon with her dark past, accepting herself and the king of Erebor as his One. Two souls full of pain and remorse, looking for their place under the Mountain and above the stars.
