Thorin comes across some old letters belonging to Thranduil – and wishes he hadn't. A 'bonejarringly angry and jealous Thorin' was requested and here he is! The Thorinduil story before this one, The Kings and Haldir, the Marchwarden, sets up the story-line and you might like to read it if you haven't, but it's not necessary for your understanding and enjoyment of this one.

A little twist on the classic "a girl ends up in Middle Earth". This time, the Company ends up in 21st century earth, and the girl is left to transport them back to Middle Earth while at the same time facing her own demons. Even if she does succeed in returning the Company to where they belong, there's also the fact that she refuses to let the Durins fall. (I suck at summaries.)

Prophecies unfold, legends awaken, and once more a simple hobbit must strike out to aid a company of dwarves on an undoubtedly dangerous quest.
