Ryuu Lion had a duty. Her family was guarding the sacred tree of her forest for generations, and thus, the duty would fall to her in the future. So she trained herself to fend off monsters that would disturb the sacred tree.

It was on one such training that Ryuu Lion hit her head and remembered her past life.

Ryulu, also known as Wishe, was one of the three great poets, and also her past life.

Ryuu remembered everything that her past life did, including all the songs and poems she created.

Humming a familiar tone, Ryuu continued her training.

Ever since she got her memories, Ryuu had one question.

What was her purpose for being reborn? She had fulfilled her goal of being a far-reaching bard that brought hope to the people. Everybody in this era knew of her and her poems. Was her purpose in this life to guard the sacred tree like her family in this life did before? She wasn't sure of it. If her purpose was so shallow, she wouldn't be granted her memories, otherwise.

Oh, she should never voice such thoughts in the vicinity of other Elves.

After a while, Ryuu came to a conclusion.

She was a bard. She made songs and poems, and convey hopes through them to the masses. In the past, when monsters roam the land, she did that to rouse the spirits of the people. Then, in this era, she would do the same.

She would spread tales of heroism around the world.

But first, to become strong enough to survive the outside world...

When Ryuu was nine years old, she left a message in her parent's bedroom and started her journey.

The outside world changed so much from her time. Monsters still roamed the land, but they did not terrorize the people as much as they were before. That was because the Gods descended to the Lower World, as she found out reading the history book.

Maybe one day she would join a Familia that would accept her as a bard.

But she digressed. Arriving in a nearby town, she went to a pub. The sight of a young Elven girl entering a pub must be surprising for the people there. She ignored them in favor of asking the owner for menial work. As a traveling bard, she needed income. She also needed to gather information about the outside world.

She could kill two birds with one stone by working in a pub.

The owner agreed to give her the job. But of course, Ryuu's instinct warned her that the owner would be up to no good. She shouldn't expect better. No matter what age, human foolishness stayed the same.

The result of the first day of work was as followed. Ryuu got a more detailed explanation about Orario as the city of heroes. In this era, Orario was the center of the world. She gathered that she could fill several books worth of songs and poems just by being in Orario.

Setting Orario as the final destination of her little journey, Ryuu hummed inside the inn. She was musing about another piece of information that she got.

Just three years ago, two legendary Familia, Zeus and Hera Familia, were defeated by the One-Eyed Black Dragon.

Now now, wasn't that a new name? Also surprisingly, Behemoth and Leviathan, the two legendary monsters, had already been defeated by Zeus and Hera Familia.

Ryuu sighed. If only she was reborn far earlier... Oh, the songs she could make about the heroic fights!

Lamenting the fact that she was born too late to witness the defeat of two legendary monsters, Ryuu's mind went to another matter that piqued her interest.

As Zeus and Hera Familia were ousted from Orario, two others came and took their place. Freya and Loki Familia. Orario's politics did not interest her at first, but when she heard that Loki Familia was led by the Braver Finn, she had to know if it was really that courageous Pallum or just someone taking his name.

After all, if she were somehow being reincarnated, what was to say that others wouldn't?

Humming a few tunes to herself, Ryuu then wrote some verses about her own journey. The owner probably wouldn't do something in the first few days. Should she act like she didn't know anything to spice up her journey?

Hmm, decisions, decisions...

A few months have passed since Ryuu left her forest. During that time, Ryuu continued moving from one town to another, gathering information and even singing a few songs when the tavern she visited allowed it. She had made several songs and poems about the town she had visited and its people. By doing this, she hoped that people would be interested to visit them.

Her journeys weren't always smooth sailings. There were some places like Olympia that didn't allow her entry. A shame, considering how beautiful Olympia was according to her memory. There were also the occasional bandits that she could repel. You wouldn't believe how rare a traveling Elf was, and that put a big target on her back. Thankfully she had never slacked in her training before leaving the forest.

Ryuu even managed to buy a harp! Granted, it was a cheap used one that she bought in a small town, but at least she had something to accompany her songs!

Right now, Ryuu's steps brought her to a small village. She intended the visit to be a small transit before going to the next town tomorrow.

As her eyes scanned her peripherals, she did not see something crash against her.

"Uwaaa!"

A little boy with white hair cried as he fell down to the ground.

It can't be...

Ryuu immediately wiped the tears on the boy's face using a handkerchief. "It's fine, little boy."

The boy stopped his cry and Ryuu got to see his entire face. She couldn't hold back her gasp once she saw him completely.

The boy's face was a literal copy of Argonaut.
