My maid's comfort...
Izuku Midoriya was holding the flyer in one hand while pressing the phone number into his phone with his other hand. He couldn't believe he was doing this but he needed help around the house and figured this was a good bet. "I mean The Wild Wild Pussycats have always been like family to me, so I'm sure they'll understand why I need a maid!" He tried to explain to himself while panicking.
He placed the phone to his ear after he hit dial. He grew more anxious with each passing moment until someone answered and the first thing he heard was,
"Nyaa! Thank you for choosing our wild maid services! How can we take care of you today?"
"Hiee! A-Aunty Shino?!" Izuku was a bit panicked because he didn't expect Mandalay to answer, Ragdoll sure, he could handle her, even Pixie Bob despite her tendencies, but he was not ready for his aunty figure to take care of him!
"Izuku? Ara ara, what are you doing by calling such a service?"
"I should be asking you, why did you guys even start something like this!"
"It's a fun way to stay popular as a hero by taking care of our fans. Nyaa!"
"C-Can you please stop talking like that! B-But I called because I really need help around the house. My mom went to travel overseas and left me in charge but it's a mess and since I know you guys, I thought it would be okay if I called."
"Ah, don't worry about it, Izuku. Your mom told me about that during one of our morning workouts with Rumi and asked us to keep an eye on you."
Izuku had a deadpan stare, similar to Jiro's, as he thought about what she just said. "I still can't believe my mom got into shape thanks to you and Mirko..." That was actually one of the reasons, Izuku had started to see Mandalay as an aunt, his mom and her had become like sisters, bonding over Izuku and Kota.
"Yeah, our workouts just aren't the same without her, but speaking of Mirko, how is everything over at the bunny agency. I still can't believe she started an agency, and took in you two."
This time Izuku sighed. "It's good but the more I work there the more I become associated with bunnies! Before it was subtle but now I can't even deny it every time I'm patrolling with Mirko or Camie."
"For some reason, you always did relate to rabbits." Mandalay shook her head with a giggle. "Anyways, I didn't think you'd need help that soon. Really Izuku, how hopeless are you?"
"Um, C-Camie says it's my most charming feature?" Although he said it with some doubt as if asking more than stating.
Mandalay chuckled as she thought of one of his hopeless situations, "It was pretty funny when Kota punched you in the balls." But then she thought of what could be his most charming feature. "But in the end you did everything you could to save him."
Izuku simply had a smile in his voice, letting her know that she didn't need to thank him. "Of course I did!"
Mandalay had a warm smile as she thought about someone else that could use Izuku's help. "You know what, I think I got just the perfect maid for you. In fact she's kinda stuck in the same situation as you but kinda worse, hahaha, but don't worry she's excellent and very pretty." Mandalay said the last part with an implying tone in her voice, as if setting him up on a blind date, which caused Izuku to ignore the part of Momo being in the same situation as him.
"Hiee! L-Looks don't really matter to me, f-for a maid I mean, b-but also for a girlfriend, I mean-!"
"Don't worry, she's just your type! I'll send her right over. Have fun, Izuku, maybe she'll fall for your most charming feature. Nyaa!" And she hung up.
Izuku thought Mandalay was talking about his hopelessness, except she meant how far he was willing to go for someone.
Izuku Midoriya grew tense after he had knocked on the door. After leaving the Yaoyorozu residence he had headed over to Kyoka's home, and they had talked...
He had found out where Momo was currently living. It was a small budget apartment, the complete opposite of her luxurious mansion. he didn't know why but when she opened the door, he was expecting something similar to how her room was in the dorms but instead...
"Izuku..? What... What are you..."
After she had opened the door, Izuku had taken note of her appearance. She had a sweaty forehead, pale cheeks but a pink and runny nose. She was wearing one of his green shirts along with boyshorts that barely covered her thighs. But her home was in a worse situation, the place was a mess, similar to his before he hired her, and it caused him to be hit with a wave of guilt but had to ignore it for her sake.
With a smile full of warmth and support, he simply said,
"I'm sorry, your soup got cold again."
And she could only reply with her sniffling giggle,
"You really are hopeless, Master..!"
She invited him in and apologized for the mess but Izuku shook it away. He offered to heat up the soup for her in the kitchen, but then he actually got a good look at her place. It was just a room with a small kitchen area, a bathroom, and a small balcony with just enough room to stand, not even enough to walk in, with her bed pushed against the corner of a wall, next to her vanity mirror. Izuku ignored it when Momo got his attention by saying she wanted the soup cold just like when they were at the dorms. He could tell that Momo still wanted to avoid the situation involving her parents so just went along with it.
Izuku sat at the edge of the bed as Momo got herself comfy. As she was eating, Momo would blow on her soup after each spoonful, despite it being cold already. He took another glance at her new home and saw how messy it was. 'I mean when would she even have the time, She's either at school, or working... or with me.' Izuku was hit with a pang of guilt because he had hired her as a maid because his own home was a mess yet Momo had been dealing with much worse and never once complained to him about anything...
"Uh, Momo rest up and enjoy the soup, I'll clean up for you around here." He sat up from her bed after giving her lap a squeeze of comfort.
"Huh? Oh, Izuku, that's really thoughtful but you don't have-,"
Izuku interrupted her with a few simple words. "Your Master insists."
Momo felt herself grow warmly weak and it wasn't because of being sick, speaking with a bashful sigh. "Okay, Darling... Nyaa!" Not even realizing she whispered that last part because of her own joy of being taken care of.
In his typical polite but clumsy nature, Izuku began to clean around her home as she rested on the bed after she finished the soup. Every time Momo would attempt to get up and help he would stop her and insist that she rested up, he even went as far as rolling her up in the blankets like a burrito and leaving her on the bed, but it was actually really comfy for her and she ended up taking a well-deserved nap.
"That was comfy..." She yawned after waking back up and rolling herself out of the blankets feeling a bit better. She crawled off her bed and put her feet on the floor before standing up and looking around. The whole place was clean, and she spotted him finishing up the dirty dishes. She didn't know why but it happily tugged at her heart as she remembered that it was one of the first things she did for him as his maid.
"I'm glad you were able to get some sleep, Momo. Ah, I'm just about done here, too." Izuku was at the sink and drying up his hands about to turn in Momo's direction but instead he felt a weight press against him from behind.
"You're really here..." Was all she said as she embraced him and leaned on his back. It was a few simple words and actions and yet to Momo it was as if a weight was she was finally taking the steps she needed to open up to him and maybe he was able to hear it in her voice because his reply was just as gentle.
"I really am..." Izuku simply let her lean on him.
"How did you even know where 'here' was?" And her voice continued to come out in those breathless sighs.
"Kyoka told me... After I went to your old home." As he said that, Izuku turned his body around in the embrace to face her. Their eyes met for a moment before she looked away as struggling to finally tell him what was going on, but then he raised his hand up, softly rubbing her cheek with his thumb before clasping her chin, causing her to look at him again, seeing the support in his eyes and gentle touch.
She nodded before letting out a heavy sigh. She broke away from him, saying they should sit down and talk properly. They both sat at the edge of her bed. It was a moment of quiet before she finally spoke.
"I guess you figured out, that my parents aren't living there anymore either."
"Y-Yeah, I was told that they are staying overseas, but not much else."
"There really isn't much more to say..."
"B-But then why aren't you still living over there, I mean is that why your working as a maid to help pay for this place?"
"How could I live over there? Izuku, they simply left! Do you know when they did? It was during the war. They were so concerned for their own well-being that I didn't find out until after everything was said and done! They don't even care enough to come back for their own daughter!" Momo started off weak before her voice came out in lashes of suppressed anger before finally asking a question in a broken voice. "How could they leave me, just like that..?"
"Momo..." Izuku placed his hand on her lap in a squeeze of support.
She held back a sniffle as she wiped her eyes before taking a deep breath and speaking in a shaky but confident voice. "But that's why I decided if they could leave, then so could I... I left everything behind, Izuku. I'm not going to rely on their wealth or status. Everything in this pathetic apartment is mine. I know it's not much, but I earned it without them. I am going to prove that I don't need them."
"Momo, you don't have to prove anything to them."
"It's not for them... This is something I have to prove to myself..." Momo then looked at him and as they locked eyes, she tilted her head with that everlasting smile, and said,
"So don't try to save me, okay?"
Izuku's eyes grew enamored emerald, completely understanding her sentiment. "Okay, but I'll always be by your side."
"You always have been..." Momo nodded with a sniffling giggle.
"You too..." He simply replied as they both began to lean against each other in silent comfort.
Both Izuku and Momo had more that they wanted to say, but also felt like the silence was more than enough to convey how they felt towards each other, as they had always been in each other's corner since the day they met.
But she broke the silence with a single request.
"Can you stay the night, Master?"
