Chapter 15

Morgan

As soon as her Dad's shield fell, Morgan and Willie flew into action to close the gap. Willie blasted lighting like nobody's business, the sun had started going down when Alpha destroyed the shield, and his lighting lit up the night like an unending lightning storm. "HOLY SHIT! THIS IS AWESOME!" Willie yelled out in the radio of their Ecto-Skeletons. "Keep it together son!" Danny told him, "There's a lot more coming! I can't keep up the shield! We need to make copies, they've surrounded the city and are about to break in everywhere!" Morgan and Willie quickly made twenty copies each, and Morgan saw that their power only went down two percent. Their Dad made sixty copies of himself, and Morgan saw through the screens showing their vitals that his power was down five percent. "Dad, are you alright?" Morgan asked him. "This is nothing. I've been through worse," he calmly told her, "Get ready! Here it comes!" Ghouls, vampires, werewolves, and ghosts ran and flew in like a scene from Hell. Morgan froze hundreds, thousands of monsters in the first ten minutes alone, Willie zapped just as many, and their Dad destroyed five times as much as they did, but they just kept coming!

The Phantoms tried to save as many civilians as they could and get them to safety in the center of Jerusalem, but there were too many monsters, and not enough Phantoms. Many people stayed behind to fight for their homes and families, and barely bought them time to at least save the children. Morgan saw too many people die before she or any of her copies could reach them, and each death was like a dagger to her heart. Ghosts came at her by the hundreds, and she destroyed all that came for her, but they just kept coming! She froze miles of roads and ceilings to trip up the monsters on the ground and let her brother and father finish them off, but they just kept coming! No matter how many werewolves died they. Just. KEPT. COMING!

"HOW MANY OF THESE THINGS ARE THERE!?" Willie screamed as they were slowly but surely pushed further and further back despite their enhanced powers. "They must have been saving these guys for this moment!" Danny yelled over the radios. "They must have collected them from all around the world! Every country they took over has to be monster-free now for them to have so many here!" Morgan realized. "Morgan! Buy us some breathing room, build an ice dome around the safe zone, and I'll make another ecto-shield!" her Dad ordered, and Morgan quickly complied. If it wasn't for the Ecto-Skeleton she was inside, it would have been an impossible feat, but she managed to cover the one third of Jerusalem that was still safe in ice as her Dad did the same with his ecto-energy. Morgan saw that her power was down to 33%, Willie was down to 26%, and their Dad was down to 40%, and they were all dropping.

Cameron

As soon as she heard Alpha's psychic yells, Cameron transformed and got ready for the battle to end all battles. Once her Dad's shield was down, she and Alucard charged into battle, guns blazing. Cameron's sound waves tore through the ranks of the Brotherhood of the Fang, outright obliterating many of the hellspawn before she simply tore through them like a blender. Her supernatural speed and strength let her tear through her enemies, the entire time she moved she killed, and her body was quickly covered in gore from her victims.

Alucard was no different, quickly assuming his Level One form and doing likewise, between gunfire he ripped and tore into vampires, ghouls, and werewolves with reckless abandon, laughing his head off like a madman the entire time, shadows swirling and writhing around him and adding to the carnage. "What delicious irony is this!? That a monster such as I should save the Holy City!?" Cameron heard Alucard yell in vicious delight as they continued their slaughter of their enemies. Cameron unleashed a Ghostly Wail that destroyed everything within a mile ahead of her and bought precious time for civilians and soldiers to fall back from their enemy.

It was like an unbridled inferno had been unleashed inside of her, as Cameron laughed along with Alucard as they continued their battle, reveling in the slaughter so vigorously that vampires and werewolves began avoiding them, forcing the ghouls to try to keep the Vampire Halfa and True Vampire away from them. It didn't matter, the two of them were powerful enough to reach any vampire within their sights, and made short work of them, never forgetting that there was always more where they came from. All the while, Cameron gave in to all her instincts as she fought, humans who witnessed it were sure that the ancient demon Lilith herself had returned from Hell at the sight of this blood splattered, laughing madwoman.

However, even these monsters couldn't hold the line forever, and were reluctantly forced to retreat as the numbers went against them. "This wouldn't have happened thirty years ago," Alucard growled as he and Cameron were forced to retreat. "Back then I could release all the souls inside me and create an army of the damned to turn the tide. But now, my existence is tied to one being, and if I had any other souls inside me, then I would be erased from existence again."

Cameron returned to her normal vampire form and fell to all fours once they were in an open area. "I never fought so hard in my life. I feel like I just had a million orgasms or something," she said with a weak smile. Alucard nodded, "You're a true Nosferatu now, Cameron Fenton. However, it seems that we still aren't enough. The enemy is too coordinated, and too desperate now. Alpha must be keeping them fighting, if we could kill that bitch, then we could win!" Cameron saw Alucard get a hard look in his eyes, only for him to suddenly throw his head back so hard that his neck actually snapped!

"MASTER!" Cameron screamed in shock, only for Alucard's head to snap back into place. "She tried to stop me, but I found her! We'll need speed for this, Daniel and I will take her, if he has the Staff of Solomon, then we can destroy her! And then, it will be like shooting fish in a barrel." After he finished talking, a giant ice barrier was raised barely a few inches away from them, followed by an ecto-energy barrier as well. "Dad and Morgan must be making a safe space for us to think and reorganize," Cameron speculated. "Good, then I can find Phantom and we can coordinate ourselves," Alucard said. He grabbed Cameron, and they instantly disappeared, then reappeared in front of her family.

"Cammie," her Dad said, his voice filled with exhaustion. He was leaning on the Staff of Solomon, and the Ecto-Skeletons were empty to give the Phantoms a chance to rest and restore their energy. "Dad, Alucard found Alpha. He thinks that the two of you can kill her!" Cameron excitedly said. Her Dad nodded at this, but then set the Staff down and walked over to her. He put his hands on her face and turned into his human form as he did so. "Cammie, are you alright?" he asked her. She only nodded, bewildered by his behavior.

"Listen to me," he told her, "No matter what happens, promise me that you'll never let yourself become a monster, a true monster that preys on the weak and innocent." Cammie blinked in surprise and said, "Dad…" Danny smiled at her and said, "I need to know that you aren't a monster. The last thing your Mom told me was not to let you three become monsters. You might not be human anymore, but, as long as you protect the innocent, you'll never be a true monster. Promise me, promise us, that you'll always keep people safe." Cammie swallowed in fear, but said, "I promise, I'll never become a true monster." Danny smiled at this and kissed her forehead.

He then went Ghost one more time and climbed into his Ecto-Skeleton, bringing the Staff of Solomon with him. "Come on, Alucard. This will get us to Alpha faster than lightning," he said. Alucard shrugged and smiled as he climbed on board the Ecto-Skeleton, musing, "A monster and a superhero on a robot to fight a werewolf, what a deliciously insane world we live in." He got inside the cockpit and Danny activated the Ecto-Skeleton. "Get ready guys," Danny said, "This is it! One more fight!"
