Chapter 9: Uzumaki Manor

It is now the month of December, as some time has passed since the journey began. Right now, the three were spending time for themselves, as Naruto was busy polishing his weapons, Harry was messing around with the golden snitch, and Hermione was going through both Tales of Beedle the Bard and Spellman's Syllabary. That's when Harry had an idea, as he gathered the others. "You were right. It's like you said. Snitches have flesh memories. But I didn't catch my first Snitch with my hand. I almost swallowed it," Harry stated, as he showed them the snitch. "'I open at the close?'" Naruto asked, raising an eyebrow. "What do you guys think it means?" Harry asked. "I don't know, but take a look at this," Hermione said, pointing at a small triangular eye from one of the books. That's when Naruto's eyes widened in shock, as he remembered seeing this. "Guys hold on, let me bring something," he said, as he entered the tent.

Naruto comes back with an amulet and Grindelwald's journal, as he looked rather interested. "I don't know what it means exactly, but from that picture you showed us, the amulet is the same exact one. Heck, when I took a look into Grindelwald's journal, it showed the same exact markings as well," Naruto mentioned. "Yeah, I remember now. Back at Bill and Fleur's wedding, Luna's dad had that same kind of amulet around his neck," Harry added. "But that does raise a question: Why would someone have drawn it in a children's book?" Hermione asked. The three thought about it, until Harry had this to say. "Guys, I have been thinking. I want to go to Godric's Hollow. It's where I was born, it's where my parents died-"

"And it's exactly where You-Know-Who will expect you to go. Because it means something to you," Hermione pointed out. "But it means something to him too, Hermione. You-Know-Who nearly died there. Wouldn't that be just the kind of place he'd hide a Horcrux?" Harry asked. "He's right Hermione, that area is where Harry and You-Know-Who had met for the first time, so naturally it should serve as a place of importance. Besides, I've been wanting to visit Godric's Hollow as well for a reason," Naruto mentioned. The two raised an eyebrow, "What's the reason?" Hermione asked, as Naruto smirked. "Because…that's where Uzumaki manor is located. Come on, I'll explain everything inside the tent." The two followed the blond, as he began to explain everything.

"Alright from one of my ancestors' journals, they had mentioned an estate located at the very place Godric Gryffindor was born. Now the reason why it's important to go there is that the manor hid some secrets that haven't been found by any other witch or wizard showcasing that whatever they hid from the rest of the wizarding world, it must've held some importance, as the journal stated that only an Uzumaki can find the secrets," Naruto stated. "I don't know, this sounds all too good to be true. What if someone already had found the secret, what then?" Hermione pointed out. "True, but then again the one who mentioned this was none other than Richter Uzumaki, and he was the last Uzumaki at the time, so there is still a chance that it's kept safe," Naruto added. "Well then, what are we waiting for? Let's get going," Harry stated. "Let's wait a few days, as we need a plan on how to get there without causing any trouble," Naruto pointed out. The others nodded and soon went back to what they were doing. As Hermione was sorting her books, she did notice something different about Naruto. "Hey Naruto, I noticed that your hair has been a lot longer," she pointed out, as the blond was surprised. "Oh really, I haven't noticed that much," he said, touching his hair. "Want me to give you a haircut?" she offered, as Naruto shrugged, but allowed her to do so. "Ok, just sit down and allow me to do the magic for you," she stated, as the blond sat down. Soon she gave her boyfriend a new haircut, which looks honestly fitting given that he really needed it after being out in the wild for so long.

Timeskip

The three apparate to Godric's Hollow, as it was currently night time in the small town. Christmas decorations twinkle in the windows of small cottages, roofs blanketed in snow. The three were dressed in winter clothes, given that the weather was a lot colder now. Naruto's appearance had changed, as he now has shorter yet spiky hair and he wears a black uniform jacket with an orange zipper and some buttons, a red armband showing his family symbol on his left arm, orange pants with a shuriken holster on his right knee, and some black ninja sandals. To finish off the look, he wore his ninja headband and red scarf(basically his look from The Last: Naruto the Movie). "I still think we should've used Polyjuice Potion," Hermione pointed out. "No, this is where I was born. I'm not returning as someone else," Harry stated.

As the three walked around town, they noticed that laughter and music could be heard from the pub nearby, as someone came out of the pub. "Guys I think it's Christmas eve, listen," Hermione stated, as the three hear the church bell toll. "Hey you guys go on ahead, I'm going to check around town," Naruto said, as the two nodded. Naruto explores the town, as he's currently looking for Uzumaki manor. From what he could remember, the manor was located on the outskirts of town. Making sure no one was around, he summoned his motorcycle before he rode to find the manor. He soon found where the coordinates were, as he stopped his motorcycle next to a land filled with ruins. Naruto walks around the area to find what he was looking for using sage mode. "There we are, now lets see," Naruto said as he kneels down to find a message inscribed on the stone floor, showing the Uzumaki clan symbol. "Only those with the blood of Uzumaki can pass through…what does that mean?" Naruto asked himself. He thinks about it for a minute, until he realizes what he has to do. But before he can open the passage, he decides to head back into town to find his friends.

Getting on his motorcycle, he rides back to town to find his friends. He sees them waiting for him at the graveyard, as they greet him. "Where were you, Naruto?" they asked. "Well I explored the town for a bit and guess what, I found the old Uzumaki manor," Naruto said, surprising them. "Where is it located?" Hermione asked. "It's located on the outskirts of the town, I'll show you guys," Naruto responded. The three got on Naruto's motorcycle and rode to the abandoned manor, not knowing that someone was watching them in the shadows. While the three were riding the motorcycle they talked about what they did. "So basically you found not only Harry's parents' graves, but you also found the graves of Dumbledore's mom and sister, Ignotus Peverell, and some of the Uzumaki's as well, right?" Naruto asked. "That's right and from the Peverell grave, it also showed the same symbol as the amulet," Hermione explained. "Wait I remembered a conversation I had with Thorn back before we started our third year. I remembered that one of Harry's ancestors married a Peverell. From what I know Harry's ancestors at the time were Hardwin Potter and Iolanthe Peverell," Naruto remembered.

"Wait, are you saying that I'm related to the Peverell's as well?" Harry asked, as Naruto nodded. "Yeah, I even have a picture of them with Richter Uzumaki. I'll show you guys when we arrive at the manor," Naruto explained. Soon they arrived at the manor, as the two were shocked by the ruins. "Trust me, I was surprised as well when I saw this. But luckily, the secret is hidden underneath," Naruto said, as the two follow him. They find the sealed entrance, as Naruto kneels down. "Only the blood of an Uzumaki can open the seal," he said, as he bit his thumb hard and smeared the blood on the seal. The markings glowed, as the sealed entrance began to open up revealing stairs leading underground. The three ventured downstairs, using the lumos spell as it is currently dark inside. "I see unlit torches, should we light them up?" Harry asked, as Naruto nodded. Using the Incendio spell, the three light up the torches, revealing a hallway with a door on the other side. They soon walk down the hallways and take a deep breath, before Naruto opens the door.

Inside the chambers, the torches light up automatically revealing an armory, as well as a library. "So this is what was hidden inside the manor, it's even bigger than the one I have at home," Naruto said, as the others nodded staring in awe. The three walked downstairs as they explored the armory/library. Hermione took a look into the books, whereas both Harry and Naruto took a look into the weaponry. "There are so many kinds of weapons we could choose from," Harry said, as he inspected one of the weapons. "I know and since it's almost Christmas, you guys can choose anything you want from here. The sky's the limit," Naruto said. Hermione took a couple of books for herself, whereas Harry took a short sword with him. "Hey guys, take a look at this," Hermione said, as the two come up to her. "What's up?" Naruto asked. "When I was looking through one of the books, I found the same exact marking of the triangular eye. There is no description as to what it actually is, but from what your ancestor, Leona Uzumaki wrote here, it seems that this marking lies a secret power to even avoid death itself," she pointed out. The three looked at each other, wondering what is the meaning of that symbol.

While Naruto looked at the giant family portraits, Harry came up to him noticing that the blond was looking at them with interest. "So who are these people in the portraits?" Harry asked. "Well from what the portrait mentions, they are the most well known Uzumaki's in the Wizarding World. The first one is Ryomen, he was a fellow Gryffindor like us and he married Agatha Slytherin and fought in the Secret War before he and his wife along with the others left to my world," Naruto said pointing at the first portrait. "Now the second one is Julius Uzumaki, he was well known around the middle ages as he was a monster hunter and one of the most professional ones at the time," he mentioned, pointing at the second portrait showing a man with short red hair, steel blue eyes, and armor akin to that of a knight mixed with a sorcerer. "The third portrait is Lady Emma, she was a seer who lived near the oceanside, with many claiming her to be a maiden of the sea, due to her beauty and intelligence," Naruto explained, showing the third portrait which was a beautiful woman in her twenties, sporting fiery red hair and warm blue eyes, as she wore a seer's outfit.

"The fourth portrait is Archibald Uzumaki and he was a nobleman turned mercenary who fought in the Wars of the Roses back in the mid-to-late fifteenth century, before teaching at Hogwarts as a professor for Defense Against the Dark Arts in his later life," Naruto stated, showing a 25 year old man with curly long red hair, a beard, a black fur cloak, and black clothing, as he appeared stoic(think of Jon Snow from Game of Thrones except with red hair). "The fifth portrait is Lawrence Uzumaki and not much was known about him, as from some of my ancestors journal's he was a private man, but from what I could find, he was known to be wanderer of many places, often going at one place and leaving to another," Naruto stated, as he pointed at a rather stoic looking middle-aged man, who was built like a mountain, as he sported a heavy red and gray beard, a pony tail, and was dressed like a wandering nomad. "As for the sixth portrait, she is Lady Brynhildr and like Lawrence, not much is known about her except for the fact that she was named after the old Norse legend," Naruto mentioned, as the portrait showed a fierce looking woman with fiery red hair and cold blue eyes, wearing a warriors outfit as she wielded what appears to be a katana. Naruto introduces the seventh and eighth, who were Leona Uzumaki and Richter Uzumaki.

"Naruto, you really have one interesting family, you know that?" Harry stated. "True but for some reason, whenever I look at these portraits, I feel like I just don't know them well enough. Heck when I met my mom and dad spiritually, my mom told me that I'm related to not only Ryomen and Agatha, but also I'm related to Hashirama Senju, the First Hokage and the strongest man during his time. Even from hearing about my ancestry, whether it's my wizarding family or shinobi family, I still feel intimidated knowing that I have a lot of people to surpass in life," Naruto stated. Harry pats his friend in the back, "Don't worry mate, I bet they already know you will surpass them. After all, you are technically the strongest of our generation of wizards and witches, so I don't see why not," Harry stated. Naruto looked at Harry in surprise, but nodded at him. "Anyways, I think we found enough. Come on let's get back to town," Naruto said, as Harry and Hermione nodded.

The three left the passage, not before Naruto sealed the passage to make sure nobody would intrude in the area. But as the three head back into town, Naruto senses that someone was watching them. "Guys I'm sensing someone following us," Naruto whispered, as both Harry and Hermione were surprised. They turned around to see an old woman, hiding in the shadows of what appears to be a church in the town. Soon she left, but it was almost as if she wanted the three to follow her. "Let's follow her," Harry suggested, as both Naruto and Hermione looked at each other and then at Harry, before nodding in agreement, even though it feels rather strange and downright eerie.

Note: Hey guys so I took an idea from one you guys that suggested it in the second book, and I added that the Uzumaki family had a manor that was located in Godric's Hollow. Given how I had mention either Richter or Ryomen Uzumaki in previous volumes, I wanted to add some of the other Uzumaki who decided to remain at the Wizarding World. I was even inspired by a scene from the Castlevania anime where Trevor, Sypha, and Alucard venture into the abandoned Belmont estate and found what was hidden inside. Anyways, hope you guys like this chapter and feel free to review
