She could never love him the way that he wanted, and he'd come to accept that. Still, he could love her just as much as she needed, even if that meant accepting the Wildman.

Beth and Daryl are reunited after she escapes from Grady with Noah. Now that they are back together with the others, they try to figure out their relationship. They quickly realize the "you depend on anybody for anything" philosophy doesn't apply when it comes to them. Beth knows she needs Daryl but does he need her? This is a Bethyl slow burn.

"No, when he first lost Beth he felt a lot of things, but "missing her" wasn't one of them." A quick one-shot of Daryl's feelings/perspective after Beth is taken. Written with Bethyl romancel in mind but can be interpreted as friendship.
