"You've been quiet," Carol observed, settling down beside him – shoulder to shoulder in the corner of the building they'd decided to hole up in till Rick and the others made it back. The same corner that afforded him a three-sixty span of the room in less than a blink. And more specifically, a perfect view of the ginger bean-pole they'd pulled out from underneath the rust-bucket.

A take on Rick and Michonne's talk in the pale moonlight. Also, another contribution to the March prompt table challenge.

Takes place during/after the most recent episode in Alexandria. Daryl hates Carol's stupid clothes. In fact, he hates this house wife she's trying to be. So what's he going to do about it? My first fic,

Being a parent is hard work, being a parent in a world where death could be around any corner is just plain unfortunate. Rose doesn't know the first thing about survival but she is more than determined to learn, not just for herself but for her baby girl. Eventual Daryl/OC.

He's far too young to have earned that hat. But, then again, it's a man eat man world out there. Literally.
