Interlude: Little Einzbern's Dilemmas (1)

Illyasviel was no therapist, but she had the opportunity to read Peanuts, an interesting comic strip that her daddy brought in a few issues from a recent trip to the US.

Comics were not funny magazines to read if one didn't have the proper maturity to understand what was going on, but Illya liked the silly characters, and she felt she could relate to some at times. Still, the reason why both topics were brought up at the same time was tied to a request that Tatsuko asked her to help her with.

They were sitting in her room back home, with Liz snoozing on the couch as she prepared for the curious plan she made with Illya's mom, while Sella monitored the sleeping 'maid' out of genuine confusion and worry. To Illya, that wasn't relevant. Not when she had her friend to worry about regarding her curious thoughts she held towards their Sensei.

"He is just so cool! Dad always told me that I should look for the best, but he is the only one that really is nice and not yucky as the other boys."

To be fair, Illya considered Sensei cool too. She wasn't the kind of cute girl that would evaluate the chances of actually crushing on anyone despite how nice they are because her daddy told her that it wasn't nice, but she knew there was nothing wrong for others to try. Well, beyond the 'age thingy' that is.

It was quite odd, but her parents told her it was bad and, in a way, she could see why it was bad. After all, Sensei is an adult and he likes adult girls, so he wouldn't care for his students- and then there's the fact they were his students which was a big no-no from what her mom told her about.

"Hmm," The foreign-born girl hummed. "I suppose that's a reasonable point but... you are too young! That's what mommy told me, you should not see adults as potential boyfriends."

"I know- but what can I do about it? I don't want to lose my chances to try it with him!"

Illya closed her eyes and hummed again, thinking of how to calm her friend's worries and... remembering something her daddy told her months ago. Something that actually felt fitting for the overall situation.

When you have a target, Illya, remember to plan on how to take them down. The more complex the plan, the more successful it will be as it will prevent any mistakes.

The words hit deep and it gave her an idea, which she quickly divulged to the blonde.

"Why not wait and plan for when you can ask him out?"

The question gained a frown. "Wait and... plan?"

"Uh-uh! Think of it this way: the more years you put into the planning, the less chances he will have to say no because you have been a respectful and understanding potential girlfriend."

"But wouldn't others get him?" She asked loudly. "I-I mean, if he has others, wouldn't he want-"

"Tatsuko-chan, do you forget who sensei is? I bet he will be happy to listen to you and hug you if you tell him when you are old enough," Illya replied as if it was a matter of fact. "After all, it's sensei!"

Yes, Illya may not be crushing on Sensei, but that didn't stop her from admiring him as a role model for her to follow. He was quite kind, honest, and very clever when he came up with solutions to problems. He was also selfless, protective and... not perfect. And it was fine. Sometimes she wanted him to be some sort of hero, like how she envisioned her big brothers at times.

But Illya was someone that, despite her young age, knew that she couldn't exactly be a hero herself. She wanted to be a happy adult when she grows up, like Mama, Papa, and her Sensei. They all looked so happy, yet for different reasons. For some reason, sensei resonated better with her and she felt her whole self conceding that this is how she wanted to be when she grew up.

"Y-Yeah, I suppose that makes sense..."

Then again, her plan left a rather sad Tatsuko to think on how to start a plan and... Illya had an idea.

"I can help you with it! I have found a few silly magazines that Sella reads about love, so it should be easy to set up a base for it. It's going to be like if we are super-spies!"

Tatsuko raised her fists at that, pumped up. "Spies tried to steal Sensei's heart from women!"

Mostly for Tatsuko, obviously.

But as Illya innocently stepped on to help her friend, she was quite unaware that a barely awake entity from within was assisting to this scene with a degree of amusement and interest. After all, it's been a while since she got stuck there, and to be part of something so interesting made her feel all bubbly within. It felt like she was there too... plotting to get the heart of this 'Sensei' too.

Yes, that sounded like an interesting idea to entertain as she waited for a chance to evade her current prison. After all, she was the real Illya and... this sensei, he definitely was going to be hers too if she got out of there and revealed the truth. And she was going to get head pats, cuddles, love, affection- anything that her copycat was getting from her body.

Patience was, after all what 'Illya' had in endless quantities...

AN

Illya being too wholesome and innocent for crushes, while Tatsuko being also quite limited with her awareness of love so she is latching on to the first nice guy that gave her a chance to solve some issues she had. Nothing extreme, nothing questionable- just two girls plotting potential marriages once one of them is at a fully developed age.

And before anyone starts complaining about lil Kuro being around too early on, I decided she was already awake and aware, but not capable of doing much about her current imprisonment.

Next time, a new head pattable character joins the cast.
