It's the implication that there is something going on between Gale and Madge. When Katniss goes off to the Hunger Games, who else does Gale turn to but the Mayor's daughter? Gadge, slight AU/mostly canon from Madge's perspective.

In the years since Suzanne Collins created Panem, Hunger Games fans have expanded her world and created new characters & fleshed out established ones. This story honors that fandom by imagining the 74th Games from the perspective of characters created Oisin55 of The Victors Project and other amazing HG fanfic writers. Hope you enjoy!

More than seven years prior to the 74th Hunger Games, Peeta's oldest brother Rye meets Primrose and her family. Everlark is going to happen in the background, but the main story is about Rye and Prim. Starts close to canon, but rebellion will be somewhat different. Cato and Clove are hiding together in a cave during the 74th Hunger Games, when Claudius Templesmith makes and announcment about a feast at the Cornucopia. Clove goes by herself but gets captured by Thresh. When she’s about to be killed, Cato comes in time to save her. This is what would’ve happened if Cato saved Clove.

The rebels have overthrown the Capitol and taken over Panem. Now, one last Hunger Games is being held, this time with the Capitol's children, the children of those who the rebels want dead the most: first among them, President Snow's granddaughter. Can she make it out alive, despite the odds stacked against her?

These Games won't go easy on either side of the screen.
