I realised that the first Quarter Quell was never properly explained. So here is my fanfiction, a story of sacrifice and bravery; a story where the very last sentence changes everything.

This is a head cannon on one of my pages on Facebook. It received good reviews so I thought I'd upload it on here. It is a story of what could have happened if Peeta had not been reaped for the hunger games but Katniss was still reaped.

Cato and Katniss end up Dual Victors because of a freak accident in the arena. Then Cato has to learn life after the Games - something his trainer never prepared him for.

So, in my English class last year we were studying THG and we had to re-write a scene from the novel and I chose to rewrite the scene where Katniss finds Peeta, from his perspective Please, please give me a chance, it's my first ever fanfic, and just give it a go. Please. :3
