Darker Shade of Blue
A beach day. Something many people came to Beach City for. But when you live right on the beach it tends to lose it's magic over time. Jasper had only lived there for a few years, more specifically in her own room in Little Homeworld. Well formerly her own room, now she shared one with Lapis, which she needed to get used to. The last time they shared a living space together was nothing short of torture. But they were doing pretty well all things considered.
"A volleyball game? What does that entail?" Jasper lifted the couch with one arm in order to grab Cat Steven with the other. The small creature had taken a liking to sneaking into their apartment, among a few others in Little Homeworld. "Pest." Jasper grumbled as she set the couch back down and turned to Lapis who took the cat in her arms and gave it a few pats before letting it go. Jasper had never felt more jealous. Of a cat no less.
"It's a team game. Two teams, with a net splitting the middle of the playing field. You hit the ball into the air towards the other team and-"
"Hit them with it?" Jasper's eyes lit up, her fists clenched in an almost childish excitement at the idea.
"Uhm no, the opposite. You need to make sure that the ball hits the sand before they can get to it." Jasper very visibly deflated, her smile now a sour frown as she flopped herself on the couch.
"That's stupid. What's the point then?" Jasper frowned at her girlfriend.
Lapis chuckled, "To score higher then the other team. It's fun."
"I fail to see the fun part Lapis." Jasper huffed as she tried to think of anything positive about going out on the beach and playing in hot sand while not trying to hit anyone with the ball.
"Well..." Lapis strategically straddled Jasper's lap, her hands on Jasper's toned abs, "You get the thrill of victory." Jasper merely raised an eyebrow at that, "You'll get to be on my team, kick ass with me, see me sweat."
Jasper bit her lip and closed her eyes to steal herself, "I can make you sweat without that silly game."
"I'll give you a kiss if we win." Still nothing. Maybe a bit more. Lapis leaned in close, her breath tickling Jasper's neck, "You'll see me in my swim suit." She rolled her hips and got a groan in return. "If we win..." Lapis scooted further up, her hands tingling into Jasper's mane and scratching at the base of her horns, "I'll let you do whatever you want to me once we get home."
Now that. That made Jasper grip Lapis tightly around her small waist. Her smirk showed off her sharp fangs as she all but leered at her girlfriend.
"Careful with those promises Lazuli." Jasper's voice dropped to that low, slightly growly tone that always made Lapis shiver in the most pleasant way.
"Please. You should know by now that I like a little danger." Jasper dove in for a kiss, only to me met by air as Lapis jumped back and hovered back to the ground with a teasing smirk on her lips, "Jasper, Jasper, Jasper. You clearly weren't listening. I said you'll get those things if we win. So make us win."
"Oh, I'll do better than that. I'm gonna destroy the other team. Not literally. Well... probably anyway." Jasper's muscles flexed and rippled with her newfound adrenaline and drive for victory.
Lapis rolled on her heal, "Good to know. Now come on, we need to get ready."
"And pack food." Jasper supplied with her once again almost childish grin.
"And pack food." Lapis laughed softly as Jasper followed her, Jasper's big hand gently taking her smaller one as they got ready for a beach war as Jasper put it. Needless to say that they won. And Jasper? She won more than anyone.
