Chapter Seven: Spock's Wife
The next morning, Anna woke up and saw her and Spock's bags packed. Anna got out of bed and went to where Spock was in the kitchen. She went to the replicator and said, "Plomeek Tea". A tea appeared, and she sat at their table to drink it.
"Have we docked to a space dock yet?" As soon as Anna asked, she heard this loud bang, causing her to jump a little bit. "Okay, I forgot how loud that was."
"Yes, it is quite annoying," Spock replied to her. Just then, Spock and Anna's comm buzzed. "Yes," Spock said.
"Did I catch the both of you at a bad time?" Admiral Phillips asked.
"Not at all, Admiral," Spock replied.
"I would like to meet with you both in an hour in my office. Is that acceptable?" Phillips asked both of them.
"Yes, that would be fine, Admiral. Have you heard from my father? Does he know that we are on Earth right now?" Anna asked him.
"He does, but I have asked him to give you both space right now. I hope that he will not disturb both of you. One hour," Phillips said and then was gone.
"Anna, if you want, we can visit your father. He deserves to know he will become a grandfather," Spock told her gently. He knew that her relationship with her father was complicated, to say the least.
"Spock, once he knows that he will be a grandfather, he will not be able to interfere in our marriage. He won't be able to do anything to this marriage. We have something special,
Spock." Anna told him.
Just then, their buzzer went off. "I am going to get ready to leave. You might as well see who wants to visit us." Anna got up from the chair and walked into the bedroom. She shut the door so she could change.
Spock answered the door. "Captain and Dr. McCoy, what can I do for you?"
"Spock, what time are you meeting with the Admiral?" Jim asked his friend.
"In one hour, captain," Anna said as she came out in her Vulcan robes. "My uniform pants are too tight. I can't get them on. If we can tell you anything after our meeting, Captain, you will be the first to know. Now, if you don't mind, Spock and I have to get to the Admiral's office," Anna said.
"Of course." Jim and Bones walked behind them.
"I have a feeling they are going on the same shuttle as us," Anna told her husband.
"I think that is a logical guess," Spock said to her.
"I thought the Vulcans wouldn't guess," Bones said to Spock and Anna.
"We don't, Dr, but as you can see, my wife is not a typical Vulcan," Spock retorted.
The four of them got on a shuttle and were flown to Earth after the Shuttle docked and everyone unboarded. Spock and Anna saw her father waiting for them.
"Father, what are you doing here?" Anna asked him.
"I am here to take you home, and then we will annul this marriage. Take that Shawl off your head. You are on Earth. Why are you not in uniform?" Admiral Oshay sternly asked.
"Admiral, I am letting you know now that Anna and I are expecting a child. You will become a Grandfather, which means you can't annul this marriage because it was consummated. Now, if you will excuse us, Admiral Oshay, we have a meeting to attend," Spock said. Spock and Anna started to walk away. Jim and Bone's mouths dropped open when they heard Spock talk back to Admiral Oshay
Once Anna was safely away from her father, Spock turned to her, "Anna, are you okay?" Spock asked her gently.
"Yes, Spock, I am. He needed to hear it. He has to know that he can't control me and that I am a grown woman," Anna said to her husband. Spock looked into his wife's eyes. He could see she got emotionally hurt by her father, but like him, she would never admit it.
"Let's get going. We are running behind schedule," Spock told her.
"Right." They walked up to Starfleet Command and entered Admiral Phillips's outer office.
"Commander Spock and Commander Oshay to see Admiral Phillips," Spock stated.
"Of course, I will let him know you are here," the secretary told them and knocked on his door.
