Ace and Nancy intended to make the most of their downtime and enjoy that they didn't have a curse or any other supernatural shenanigans hanging over their heads for once. So they sat down to watch a movie and tried not to keep checking their phones. "Are you sure you're okay - not on edge waiting for the next supernatural disaster?" he checked.
Nancy snorted. "I'm not on edge waiting for the next supernatural disaster," she responded, although they knew that was a lie - for both of them.
He wrapped his arm around her and gave her a quick kiss. "Love you."
"Love you, Ace." She snuggled closer to him and turned her attention back to the movie.
Ace couldn't stop staring at Nancy, mesmerized by the love of his life. She kept elbowing him so he'd pay attention to the movie, however, which he found amusing. "You're so beautiful."
"Thanks." She beamed at him and then paused the movie to go make some popcorn. Once it was done, they obviously shared it and then started throwing some at each other.
The two of them couldn't wait for other days like this, and hoped more of them were on the horizon.
