Note: this is a chapter of short story's. Not really necessary for the overall pot. Just things I wanted to wright about, with a lot of flirting.
Chapter 6: The Small things.
Story 1: Power Amor
"Cait I have something for you." Nora chimed as they entered Sanctuary. "You've got somethin, for me?" The red head followed behind closely. "Hey Sturges, have you taken a look at the blueprints?" Nora asked, trying to ignore the red head's playful touches. "Um... Yes, but this is going to take me a time and I'll need some material."
"You got a list?"
Sturges handed her a piece of paper for her to look over. "This is good. Cait, you up for a bit of looting? And perhaps a synth fight?" Nora ask happily. "You know me, I'll follow you anywhere Treasure." Cait leaned over Nora's shoulder. Nora hummed in satisfaction, "Sturges, did you happen to look over Cait's present?"
"You mean the..."
Nora smacked her hand over his mouth. "Yes. It's a surprise."
"Oh sorry General, yes it's right outside your house."
"Thank you. Here, I appreciate your hard work." She handed him a sack of caps before turning to Cait. "You excited?" Nora winked as she walked by. "Always, Lover."
"Holy shite! This is for me?" Green eyes grew wide as she hopped into her new power armor. "You like it? I found it in the Glowing Sea."
Cait flexed and turned the light from the helmet on and off. Nora chuckled, placing a gentle hand on the metal. "Do you want to take it out for a test run? We can look for a raider camp, Or maybe we can go after the synth."
"Yes, let's gut some raiders!" Cait's laughter sounded distorted through the helmet.
...
Nora watched Cait slaughter a bunch of raiders, as she started looting the place. Cans, containers, food; nothing was safe from the desperate woman's hands. "Hey Beautiful, this might have somethin." Cait called hopping out of her armor to pick a locked box. "Got it! Jackpot!" Cait pocketed the money and handed Nora the rest. "They didn't have a chance against you Sweetie." Nora gave the red head a quick kiss before slinging the junk over her shoulder, while the other hopped back into her armor.
Cait hummed happily as they made their way back. Nora could tell what it was and joined her lover in song. "You're voice is just as beautiful as the rest of you." Cait claimed. "Next time I would like to hear you without the headgear." Nora teased.
Story 2: Lovely Morning
The bed was much warmer with another body. Arms wrapped around one another, eyes locked, and the morning light barely shown through the window. "Mornin Beautiful. Ready to kick some robot arse?" Cait pushed Nora's hair back and lovingly placed a kiss on the exposed forehead. The other in return, nuzzled her way down Cait's neck. "Careful Darlin, you're giving me some naughty thoughts." Soft pink lips began to lick and suck at the sensitive skin. Muscular arms snaked there way around the thin dweller's hips. Getting a good grip on her ass. "Cait~" Nora moaned softly into her partner's ear. "Mm~ are you sure about this?"
"Cait, I lov..."
Knocking came from the door, ruining their perfect moment. "Ignore it Lover. I want to hear more." Cait pulled at Nora's pajama pants. Lips crashed together with hands running through sweat soaked hair.
Nora lifted herself out of a daze to the smell of cigarette smoke. "Sorry. Just a habit." Cait motioned to put it out but Nora gently took her hand. "May I?"
"Really? Sure, I didn't take you for a smoker."
Smirking, Nora placed her lips on the used cigarette and sharply inhaled; then exhaled the smoke into a few rings, leaving Cait impressed. "Shite, where have you been all me life?" She pulled Nora into a lustful, tobacco infused kiss.
Story 3: Needing a shower
Nora groaned as she wiped the sweat off her forehead. Her and Cait have been running around the wasteland gathering items for the teleporter. "Your sweat makes you sparkle like a bottle cap ,Treasure." Cait leaned over, leaving behind a kiss mark on the wet cheek. "I feel disgusting! How are you still flirty with me?" Nora held herself tightly, feeling insecure about her current state. "I've had worse Love. Raiders aren't the cleanest people around."
Nora felt flustered and jealous. "Cait that's gross! When was the last time you took a shower?"
It had been so long, Cait was thinking for an awful amount of time. "Mm, I think the last time I showered was at the combat zone."
"Are you kidding me?! Well I'm not that better off... I used the last bit of rain we got."
"Well you should have told me you were goin to run around naked. I would have joined you."
Nora's face when a bit pink as she placed her hands on her hips, "You were asleep, and... we weren't really a couple yet."
"So? We're both girls, unless you're holdin out on me."
"What!? No I am not holding out on you!"
Cait couldn't help but chuckle, "Alright, know anywhere with runnin water?" She asked seriously.
"Diamond City should be... wait the vault might have some... but." Nora started to shake violently. She wasn't ready to go back there. Not yet.
"Hey, it's alright Darlin. We won't go if you don't want to. We could just fill up a bucket, no need to be scared Treasure."
"N-no I need to get over it. It's the cleanest place around and it probably has soap to spare." Nora was determined! She gathered way too much dirt, and if she was going to see her son soon she wanted to look her best.
"Mind if I come? To keep an eye on you of course." Cait winked seductively.
"Yes please, I have nothing to hide."
...
Nora found the shower room and a place to do laundry. She stripped casually and threw her jumpsuit into the washer. Cait walked up behind holding several different bottles of soaps she had never seen before. "Couldn't wait for me uh?" A small chuckle left Nora's lips before turning to inspect the collection of soaps. "I hope these are still good after 200 years."
"There was plenty in the storage area, so they intended it to."
Nora took the bottles and started walking towards the shower. "Go ahead and toss your clothes into the washer, all you have to do is shut it and press the button ." She instructed, shaking one of the bottles and opened it to smell. With a hum of approval she started the water.
Cait didn't take long to join the dweller. She jumped when she heard the washer kick on. "Shite that junk is loud." The red head watching as Nora scrubbed the soap along her scalp. Bubbles formed and gently rolled down Nora's chest, making it hard for Cait to look away. "Dame your beautiful." Slipped from her mouth as she began to wrap an arm around the other. "Cait, I'm trying to wash my hair!"
Cait released her lover and began to stand under the warm clean water she never knew existed. She watched as the years of dirt built up made the water turn brown before making its way down the drain. "Nora? Would you wash me hair too?" Cait asked, running a filthy hand along her dingy red locks. Nora washed off the soap from her own head before picking up the bottle once more. "Oh of course dear, now hold still, and close your eyes." She ordered pushing Cait's chin to have her look up. "I've never had me hair cleaned before. Will it hurt?" Cait asked curiously. "It shouldn't, maybe if I pull too hard, but I'll be gentle. Just don't let it get in your eyes."
"Yes Love." Cait obeyed, she focused on the unfamiliar sensation. It sent chills down her body despite the warm water hitting her rapidly beating chest. "Ok that should do it, now rinse it out under the water." Nora went back over to the soaps to picked out a different bottle. She continued by conditioning her own hair as Cait rinsed. The bright red locks began to shimmer under the vault lights. It looked brighter, cleaner, showing that the shampoo was just what it needed. "You're doin it again? How many times are you goin to wash your hair?" Cait asked in confusion. "You shampoo and condition your hair. They help in different ways. Like how med-x makes your body stronger, and rad-x helps repeal radiation." Nora explained, leaving the soap in her own hair, and motioning Cait to look up again. "I don't get it, but I'm not goin to sit here all day for a shower." Cait huffed, making Nora giggle. "This is it for your hair at least... and wow, it looks gorgeous Cait!" Nora let the normally straight red hair twirl around her fingers. It was soft, curly, and such a beautiful shade of red. "When we're done, may I style it a little?" Nora asked, lovingly running her fingers through the locks and bubbles. Cait didn't know what to say, so she nodded gently.
Cait just mirrored Nora when it came time for the body wash. She was Relieved when Nora turned the water off. "Wow, do women in you time always take this long in the shower?" Cait huffed, watching Nora tightly wrap a towel around her slim frame. "Yes, and No. it just depends on how she felt. And I felt like I needed that." Nora gave Cait a small peck as she handed her a towel. "Dry off and I'll toss the clothes into the dryer, then I want to play with your hair a bit." She giggled, walking out towards the washroom.
"So beautiful, I could play with it forever." Nora swooned, tightly braiding down one side of Cait's unamused Face. "Please don't, I'd like to do more then play dress up." Cait responded. "Dress up Hu? I found a beautiful red dress, and I could probably find some makeup." Nora teased, yanking the strands in her hand. "Ouch! Hey! You can play with my hair but I an't goin to dress up like a princess. I like the way I look and..."
"Done." Nora interrupted, turning Cait around to see her new hairstyle in the mirror. She instantly fell in love with it. A tight French braid curved down the right side of her head, and the other side was down in red ringlets. "I... it's.." Cait was lost for words. She ran a hand through it and felt the softness Nora was going on about. "I think you look amazing, and it fits your tough girl persona." Nora rubbed Cait's bare shoulders lovingly, kissing the already marked neck.
...
Pulling out the blue suit, Nora took a long look at it. "Wow, I didn't think it could look so blue." Cait snickered, pulling out her ragged corset and began putting it on. "Maybe I should wear 'normal' clothes. It might help me adjust better."
"You can wear whatever you want Lover. You can make anythin look good." Cait ran a gently hand down her head, along the bright red braid she came to love.
Story: 4 Fuckin Hell!
The two strongest ladies in the wasteland stood outside a large cave they happened to come across. Cait looked to her partner with concern. "Do you think there is anythin down there?" She asked, trying to see through the darkness. "I don't know, that's why we're going in."
"Are you sure this is a good idea?"
"Cait, we're going to be fine one way or another. The worst it could have is a Yao Guai or a DeathClaw." Nora tried to reassure her partner.
Cait shrugged but followed Nora's lead. The tiny light from the pit boy barely lit up the cavern. "Wish I brought me armor, I didn't think I'd be needin a light." Cait whispered, holding onto her woman's hand tightly. "Don't worry Cait. I got you." Nora smiled back at the worried red head. "Ya ya, just keep your shirt on."
Trickling noises from the cave sent shivers down both backs as they started running into some kind of sticky substance. Nora didn't pay any attention to it, but Cait watched the size of the thing getting bigger as they walked. "Um, I think we should turn back Love." Cait began to tremble. "Stop it, you're fine tough girl. Just hold my hand." Nora called back. It didn't take long for Nora to run into more of the stuff, and when she did her jumpsuit got stuck to it. "What the hell?" Nora breathed, trying to pull her sleeve out of the goo. "We need to get out of here!" Cait yelled eying the large sticky webs along the wall. "Help me out." Nora held out her hand and Cait grabbed it in desperation. She pulled as hard as she could but it wasn't budging. "Shite! Um fire! Do you have a lighter on you?" Cait asked in a panic. "I think so." Nora pulled out a gold lighter and Cait automatically flicked it on. She held it to the web and it instantly caught fire, but it revealed something worse. Cait's eyes widened when she saw it. Hundreds of black eyes looking right at them. "Fuckin Hell!" Cait pulled on Nora again but it was beginning to look grim for her. One of the large spiders crawled closer as the rest spread along the ceiling and walls. Fear wasn't strange to Cait but god she wished it would just go away. Her arms felt weak, and her knees gave out. Trembling on the floor she looked up. Nora was being wrapped into a cocoon by the large arachnid. "Nora!" Cait cried, trying to rip away the substance. "Cait! Get out of here!" Nora yelled. The fire was going out so Cait clicked the lighter back on, desperately trying to free the love of her live. But when she was able to see clearly she was being stocked by one of those monsters. She started to run but unfortunately an ambush was waiting for her.
When Cait opened her eyes, she could barley see the glow from Nora's pit boy. Both covered in webs, Cait tried to call out, "Nora!?" But no answer came. Cait still had the lighter in her hand , so she struggled to flick it on. Lighting the webs on fire and managing to brake free. She looked over to her companion, but it was too late. Her skin was no longer the comforting shade of pink, and her eyes had lost the shine it once had. She was gone.
Cait's eyes jolted open as she busted into tears. "Cait? Honey are you alright?" Nora sleepily sat up in shock. "Cait? Speak to me sweetheart!" Nora ran her fingers along the loose red curls. Said red head was in shock, it all seemed so real. Was she dead?
"Nora?" Cait breathed hoarsely, snapping herself out of her trance. She quickly touched Nora's cheeks and pulled her close. "Are you alright?" Nora asked, wiping away the tear tracks under Cait's eyes. "I thought I lost you." Cait ran her hands to Nora's waist and pulled her into her lap. "I'm right here Cait. I'm alright. It was just a bad dream Sweetie." Nora placed soft kisses on the other's nose and cheeks. Trying her best to comfort her terrified partner. "We are not goin into any strange caves, alright!" Cait growled, tightly holding Nora close to her body. "Alright no caves for you. I had no idea you were afraid of the dark." Nora gently rubbed Cait's back. "Not the dark. I fuckin hate spiders." Cait mumbled into Nora's chest. " Oh, I see. I guess I'll need to find some bug spray."
