Alright, one more post of my old work, and then I am going to write some new stuff. But first I need to celebrate my birthday so see you guys later!

Disclaimer: Miraculous Ladybug belongs to Thomas Astruc and ZAGToon. This is just a fanfic written by a fan.

The summer play dress rehearsal wasn't going the way everyone thought. Nathaniel was in charge this time, and he certainly took charge of a lot of things.

And most of the students thought that Marinette and Luka would get the role of Christine and Raoul. But for some reason, he cast Luka as the Phantom, much to Juleka's dismay.

But everyone worked hard regardless, and Adrien promised things wouldn't be weird between him and Marinette. Some students thought they looked cute together, but Adrien patiently told everyone they were just friends, but Marinette was slowly losing her patience.

Still, even if things weren't going the way she hoped, she was so captivated hearing Luka sing the Phantom's songs as they practiced at night. Sometimes they would get carried away and roleplay as Christine and the Phantom, creating their own story that wasn't dictated by anyone else.

The night before dress rehearsal, Luka looked at Marinette with loving eyes even if he wore the phantom mask Marinette made for him. He took her hands and smiled at her.

"You'll do great Marinette," Luka said.

Marinette blushed and placed her hand on Luka's mask before stroking his cheek.

"And you are the best phantom ever."

After those sweet words, Marinette and Luka pulled in for a kiss. It was unconventional to kiss in Christine and Phantom costumes.

But both of them felt it was beautiful and poetic.

On dress rehearsal day, everyone got into their positions as Nathanial called out orders.

Kagami stood by Marinette for the ballroom scene as Marinette was introducing Adrien as Raoul. And Kagami couldn't help but blush as Adrien's peridot eyes flashed for her.

"Great job everyone! Just like you rehearsed!" Nathaniel cried from the audience section. Juleka and Rose sat in the seats near him, watching dismally.

As the big prop chandelier fell to the ground, Juleka hoped it would cause the entire performance to stop. But right on time, Kagami said, "It's the Phantom of the Opera!"

Marinette smiled softly and whispered. "It is!"

Kagami and Marinette smiled at each other, communicating with their expressions as the scene closed.

"And scene!" Nathaniel cried. "Now, let's get ready for the scene where Christine sneaks into the night to meet the phantom."

Marinette and Kagami quickly went backstage, and to Marinette's surprise, Luka was in his phantom outfit waiting for her.

"Luka!" Marinette cried as if she hadn't seen him in ages.

Marinette ran eagerly in her ball gown and shoes as Luka held out his arms and picked her up, spinning her in the air a few times before setting her down. She nuzzled her head against his strong chest as he stroked her curled hair gently.

"You did amazing Marinette. This entire play would be nothing without you," Luka said.

Marinette giggled, "Well, you'll make everyone fall in love as the phantom." She looked up at him and placed her hand over his heart. "But I will always love you the most."

Luka smirked and wrapped his arms around her as he gently pulled her closer. Marinette grinned as their lips met in an act similar to their improvs. But they were currently behind the theater curtain. They would enjoy this kiss for as long as needed before the next scene.

"I'm just saying I think this production needs to be a bit different Nathaniel," Juleka said. But Nathaniel turned back to the stage, not even considering Juleka's words. Marc and Rose could only sit and watch as Juleka and Nathaniel got competitive again.

"The play is going just fine Juleka. Why change it?" Nathaniel said.

Then suddenly, the curtain concealing Marinette and Luka fell down and revealed the two of them still making out in their costumes. Juleka was absolutely elated, and Nathanial was dumbfounded.

"Because of that!" Juleka cried.

Some of the students in the audience started cheering too for Luka and Marinette. It seemed quite a few of them supported a story where Christine and the Phantom live happily ever after.

"No! No! No!" Nathaniel cried as he got out of his seat. "This is not how it's supposed to go!"

Marinette and Luka finally broke the kiss and noticed the approval of the audience drowning out Nathaniel's objections. Marinette and Luka smiled as they held each other, and at a distance, Adrien and Kagami smiled in approval. Kagami turned to Adrien as he presented her with a red rose which she happily accepted, and then the two laced hands.

Juleka stepped in front of Nathaniel and smirked in triumph.

"I'm going to direct this play now!"

And it certainly was a play to remember. The classic Phantom of the Opera with an alternate ending. And Marinette and Luka had the time of their lives playing the Phantom and Christine for the play.

Adrien and Marinette worked fine together, but the undeniable chemistry between Marinette and Luka shined on stage.

Just to note I know The Phantom and Christine aren't a healthy relationship...This is just for fun.
