Sup guys? Lighting Wolf here, back with another story, one about Halo/Mass Effect. Enjoy the 800-word chapter. I don't own Halo and Mass Effect, Bioware and 343 do.
Prelates were a lot more used to combat than their kind. Most chose the path of scholars or the idea that they'd be working behind the scenes to have gotten to such a state that he didn't know that this wasn't yet gotten to such a thing. This had been something that hadn't yet crossed the San'Shyuum's mind. There was a lot more problem that was problem that hadn't yet seemed to have been over for now.
He was an odd little soldier, one who hadn't chosen the path of the serpent his peers had. He was still a warrior; he still knew his place was in command of troops or exercising the weapons he wore on his fighting skin. It hadn't done much to dull his taste for battle, but it did not bother them.
They hadn't yet been prepared for the worst. He had taken his ship after the war had ended and all of them had been scattered to the wind. He seemed to have gotten to a point where he wished to have gotten it all over. There was something else on his mind.
They had such a mind that this had yet gotten to where this had been something that had yet gotten to such a spot.
He had taken his ship and its crew with them. There were a few people who had argued against the Prelate's idea, but he had been a leader, and his men slowly started to get to such a problem.
This yet seemed to have a question when it was all over before now. They had a lot more to do for the second. They focused a lot more on such a problem. They had more on their mind… However? He wasn't focused before now. Such a thing had yet to bother them to such a degree that it had become impossible for anything else to have happened to the degree it had been said. The Prelate slowly yet surely been decided before now. It was a hard thing for now. It was so hard to decide their fate when he had been a simple officer.
He had no real understanding of politics; he didn't command some larger authority beyond this ship and a few others. The Prophets were never shown as skilled at commanding troops as the Sangheili… It made him plant his head into the hull to see that they had been replaced with soldiers who were good as these. It didn't make any or all sense to have the Jiralhanae as the frontline of the Covenant.
However? Perhaps that was why Truth had died but the rest of their species.
The prelate looked around the bridge, the cramped room that had been his chambers. He was too unsure of what the fate of his crew had been. He seemed to have gotten them to a few coordinates that he had pulled from High Charity before the city had been cut apart and then fallen into the hands of the Flood.
He was prepared for his self-given mission, constantly seeming to train himself, practicing his skills, floating around, commanding soldiers across the hull of the warship, practicing his marksmanship skills, practicing his hand-to-hand. The prelate had lashed himself to this mission, convinced at the time.
He smiled. He tilted his head, looking at the holographic display in front of him. He had been in his right mind when this mission.
He leaned on the railing. He tilted his head, glancing at his crew. They had a lot more time to have gotten it all said and done.
He was thrown off by something that rocked the entire ship, sending sparks over his equipment. He growled out an order towards his men as he did so.
"Status report?" The prelate seemed to question as he glanced around. "Someone tell me what the hell is going on." The prelate seemed to growl outwards.
"Systems down." One of the brutes said which he sighed and rubbed his temples.
He cracked his fingers and slowly climbed to his feet. He was prepared for now. He had yet to have gotten to such a state when it was all over as of the question.
He didn't know what was coming.
