Into the Spider-verse Chapter 3 Earth-65
Gwen Stacy stands at the grave of her friend Peter Parker who in her universe was The Lizard. She was unable to save him as he died in her arms. A death that haunted her since.
"Gwen Stacy!" shouts Oliver Queen
"Can I help you?" she asked.
"The Multiverse is in danger Spider-Woman. You are needed." Explained Oliver.
"Yeah. Like I'm gonna listen to some weirdo in a green poncho" said Gwen shrugging off Oliver.
"I know you lost your Peter Parker." he said.
"Excuse me?" she asked.
"I happen to know of a Peter Parker who is grieving the loss of his Gwen Stacy. On his earth he is Spider-Man. In fact he's needed for this coming conflict." Explained Oliver.
"If you're telling the truth, take me to him" she demanded.
"You meet him soon enough. But for now, I am needed elsewhere. As are you." said Oliver sending her to Earth-616.
As Oliver heads to the next universe, he's unexpectedly taken off course.
"Oliver Queen. The Spectre." said a female voice.
"You brought me back here again?"
"Because your job is done." Explained the woman.
"How so? There's still more Earths to find them" said Oliver.
"Yes. Although I've sent you on a quest to find those within the web of the Multiverse, the last two I seek, are not for you to find. That is for Earth-616 Peter Parker himself." Explained the woman.
"Then why have me go through the trouble of finding these heroes?" Asked Oliver.
"Because you had a part to play. Actually yo still do. But elsewhere and of your own free will now. Kang will win. Battleworld will form. But you? You have given the heroes a fighting chance now. Especially for Peter Parker who's fate seems to be sealed." Explained the woman.
"Where should I go next then...Madame Web?" he asked.
The woman steps forward into the light as she shows Oliver other universes from her web. Madame Web. The key figure of the Spider-verse itself.
"Peter-2 and Peter-3 both have parts to play. But now there are other heroes beyond the Spider-verse that are doomed to have their worlds destroyed by the incursions. However I cannot take you there. It is beyond my reach." Explained Madame Web.
"Then why tell me? If there's nothing you can do to help me save them?" Asked Oliver.
Madame Web laughs softly.
"Because it's fun." she answered.
Madame Web sends Oliver back to Earth-616 Prime.
She then looks back at her web of the Spider-verse as she focused her attention on Earth-616 Prime Peter Parker.
"If you are truly the one to save us all, I wish you luck. You have a long journey ahead of you. Luckily you won't go it alone."
