"You think Santa will come here, and bring us toys too, uncle Howie." Shocket asked Howard, as she and Linda were helping him decorate their holiday tree in their apartment makijg him confused by her question guessing it was because of when they'd lived with Tivon, he told them Santa didn't come to the fortress.
"Of course he will, he cuts kids like you slack, trust me, I know you guys are on the Nice lisr." Howard told Shocket making her grin along with Linda at this, guessing they could trust him seeing Jennifer entering knowing that Howard had a late-night case so she was watching them plus didn't have any cases tonight to prepare for.
"Who wants to make cookies, while Howie's gone." she said.
"We do, as Santa needs them, on Christmas Eve." Linda told her.
Jennifer chuckled at their excitement, getting baking supplies making Shocket grin, as she and Linda had never baked before despite knowing how to make pancakes alomg with toast which Jennifer understood knowing they were excited about the holidays as it was their first one away from Tivon.
"Mmmm, they smell good Ms Walters, I think we did a goodjob." Linda said seeing Shocket smelling the air.
That morning, Shocket began to stir after feeling Linda nudging her awake gently, and the smell of breakfast was helping her wake up guessing Charlie had started makijg it for everybody seeing Lijda textijg people on Whatsapp making Shocket guess it was her friends from Harvard getting up wearing snowflake-pyjamas with slipper-socks on her back paws leaving their room entering the kitchen despite having bed-fur and her mohawk was also messy relieving Charlie and the others relieved because they'd been concerned about her seeing Susan's mohawk was also messy from sleeping too hearing Cambria asking where Linda was sighing at her question, knowing it was okay for Linda to talk to her college-friends.
"She's talking to her friends from Harvard, which is okay I guess." Shocket told her frowning a little seeing Linda enter sitting down beside her guessing Shocket had been a little annoyed by her talking to her Harvard friends knowing that she was the only romantic soulmate for her which Shocket knew was true remembering when Linda had been peanut butter and jealous of her being friends with Cambria which Linda reminded her of as they dug ijto pancakes while Shocket was drinking coffee but Linda was drinking tea like always, surprised hearing about the Secret Santa exchange, being new to things like this seeing Charlie whispering ijto their ears only Linda noticed Itsy looking surprised at Shocket guessing she was Shocket's secret Santa which would be fun hearing she had Cambria as hers making Shocket delighted, as she could help her with Bree's gift because she knew her the best compared to Itsy.
"Sorry, I was talking to my Harvard friends, they were asking how my break was going." she told Shocket while they were getting ready for the day seeing Petal nuzzling Shocket's furry cheek sensing she was worrying about somethijg seeing Lijda kiss Shocket making the tenaged female-cub giggle hearing Linda's phone buzz as it was Howard asking herif she wanted to hang out with him and Darci seeing Shocket hugging her, after Linda asked her ifit was alright.
"It's cool, go hang with your folks, they probably want to hear about college." she told her.
"Thanks Shockie, and have fun in the snow wait, you made a toboggan didn't you." Linda said.
"Uh-huh, and can't wait to try it out, at the park with Petal's help." Shocket told her.
"Okay then, just be careful and see you for hot cocoa in a little bit." she replied kissing her.
Shocket nodded as she grabbed the toboggan she'd made wanting to try it out at Central Park as the others were doing their own holiday thijgs so she and Petal were deciding to have snow fun guessijg that Bree and Jewel were doijg the same hearing Jewel giggle as she and her mom had made a snow-Hulk which she thought sweet joining in the snowball fight, practicing their skills hoping Limda was okay but was seeing Petal pointing to the toboggan making her grin seeing her guess it was time to test it out finding the biggest snow covered hill getting on the toboggan, as it took off.
"Hehe that was awesome and didn't get hurt this time, but cold." Shocket said covered in snow seeing Petal there.
"I am Groot." she asked her seeing her shaking snow off her furry body and clothes along with her mohawk seeing Petal on her shoulder scooping up the toboggan and felt her phone buzz, guessijg it was Linda excited to have hot cocoa scampering out of the park with Petal to the diner she and Linda loved hanging out at seeing Linda surprised at her furry soulmate covered in snow yet she looked cute guessing there was a fun story behind this seeing Shocket nodding sitting down at their usual booth hearing Shocket hug her for warmth which the female-duckling understood.
"I tested out the toboggan which is why I got covered in snow, Ducky but how's things with your folks." she asked.
"They're good plus we were hanging out, and helping decorate the tree." Linda replied seeing the waitress there ordering hot cocoa and something to eat as snow fun had worked up an appetite clinking their mugs in a toast giggling seeing Petal have a whipped-cream beard which Linda and Shocket thought cute grabbing an napkin cleaning her up hearing her giggle making them grin, they thought of themselves as her moms knowing the Winter Carnival was coming in a few days.
