Hey Guys! Here's the next chapter.
Please Review!
Hermione and Draco began spending a lot of time together, planning the Charity Quidditch Match. They spent evenings either at her flat or his townhouse while sorting out the details.
One Friday evening, after visiting Charlotte and Henry at the Longbottom's house where he had found them a temporary home, Draco went over to Hermione's flat.
He entered her lounge via Floo and called out to let her know that he was there,
"I'll meet you in the kitchen!" He heard he shout back from her bedroom in the back of the flat. "The plans are out on the table!"
Draco made his way to her kitchen and leaned over her small kitchen table where Hermione had the plans for the Fundraiser all laid out. She was, unsurprisingly, very well organized, and it made him smile.
Hermione walked into the kitchen, finding him reading over the newest details. She looked at him for a moment, admiring his…physique.
"So, you were able to get in contact with Krum?" He asked in an odd tone without turning around to look at her.
She suddenly felt nervous and sighed, nodding, "Yeah, Viktor agreed to be Team B's Seeker."
Draco silently nodded which only made her more nervous.
Hermione swallowed, "How are Charlotte and Henry?" she asked, changing the topic, hoping it would brighten his mood.
He smiled slightly, "They're good. Longbottom and Pansy are doing a brilliant job with them."
Hermione nodded, "Yeah. Neville mentioned possibly adopting them."
Upon hearing that, Draco turned around to face her, "Really?" He asked, "Pansy hasn't said anything."
Hermione wasn't sure what to say so she didn't speak.
Draco inhaled, knowing he had been acting slightly rude. He sighed and said, "Erm…have you spoken with anyone that can be Keeper for Team B? I've found no one."
Hermione nodded, "Yes actually. I found someone today."
"Who?" he asked when she didn't say.
Hermione sighed, "Okay, Draco, listen…"
"Who is it?" He asked.
"It's Cormac McLaggen…" She muttered
"I hate that plonker!" Draco groaned, slapping the paper he was hold onto the table.
Hermione sighed, "I know you do. I'm sorry but he's the only one I could find."
Draco nodded, sighing, "Well, this is about the orphaned children, not me. So, I'll get over it. Besides we'll be on different teams."
She smiled, relieved, and nodded. "Okay. So…tonight we need to plan out the items to make to sell. Like Charity Jerseys."
Draco nodded, "Okay…but erm…I can't stay very long tonight."
She nodded, "Oh…okay, do you have plans?"
He didn't meet her eyes as he replied, "I'm supposed to meet up with Astoria in Diagon Alley in a couple hours."
Hermione swallowed and nodded, "I didn't realize that you and Astoria were together."
Draco quickly shook his head, "No. We aren't. She just needs to speak with me about something. We broke up over a year ago. We are not together."
Hermione nodded, feeling a sense of relief. "Oh…okay." She cleared her throat and added, "Well, let's get to work since we don't have much time tonight."
They both sat down at the kitchen table and looked through everything.
"Okay we still need to figure out the food situation." Draco said, "And the location as well as the date."
She nodded, "Yeah, we have to focus on the big details now that we have finished with the small details."
"So first, where should we have it?" He asked.
"Hogwarts?" Hermione asked, "Minerva wouldn't mind at all."
Draco shook his head, "We need somewhere more substantial. Let me send my coach, Ian Helms, a letter and see if we can use the Magpies stadium."
Hermione nodded eagerly, "That's a brilliant idea."
Draco jotted down a quick letter to his coach and sent it with Hermine's owl, Tara.
"Since it's almost May, let's plan for early June." She suggested while they waited for a response.
"We'll need to do it on a day that none of our players have any other games." He added, thoughtfully.
With a nod, Hermione got up to make them each a cuppa.
"June tenth would be ideal." Draco muttered.
"Why's that?" She asked while pouring the tea.
"Well, it's a Saturday and there aren't any games that day."
She furrowed her brow, "Why aren't there any games that day?"
"It's one of the rare 'rest days' that are scattered throughout the calendar to let the players relax a bit." He explained.
She nodded and heard her muggle mobile phone ringing. She rushed back to her bedroom and grabbed it from her bedside table.
"Hello?" She answered.
While she was on the call, Draco thought up an idea for food at the Charity Match. Seamus Finnigan and Dean Thomas had partnered up four years before and put together a premium Bistro in Diagon Alley.
When Hermione came back, she asked how it was going.
"I thought of something…" he said before mentioning the Bistro.
Hermione nodded and said that she would speak with Dean the next day at their book club, which made Draco smile.
An hour later they both heard the whooshing of wings as Tara came soaring back into the kitchen with a letter in her beak from Draco's coach. She looked at Draco with her black, beady eyes and blinked as he took the letter.
Draco opened the letter and read it, smiling.
"We can use the Magpies stadium. He just needs to know a date." Draco explained.
Hermione smiled and nodded, "Wonderful! Ask about June tenth and make sure he's okay with that date. If he agrees, we can begin putting things in motion."
Draco nodded and wrote down a quick reply, planning to send it with his own owl since Tara needed to rest.
"You're going to be late." Hermione said, looking over at the clock. She bit her lip and looked back the papers.
Draco sighed and nodded, "Yeah…erm, okay. I'll contact you as soon as I hear back from Coach Helms about the date." He said as he set the papers down and headed towards the fireplace in the lounge.
"Okay…bye." She muttered, turning back to the table.
He was about to leave but turned around, "I'll see you real soon, Granger, okay?"
She turned around, surprised and smiled, "Yeah. Real soon." She said with a nod.
He grinned and winked at her before leaving.
