"Elliot please relax!"

Olivia walks up to the side of him, wraps an arm around his shoulder and places a kiss on his cheek.

"She's never introduced a man to me before"

"Well I can understand why" she jokes, letting her arm drop and leaning against the countertop next to him as he continues to layer up the lasagne he was cooking. She'd realised since they started dating that he was actually a pretty good cook, he'd told her how he'd taken classes in Italy and even though she jokes his speciality was the most basic Italian meal out there she couldn't argue it was good. "You are pretty scary when you want to be"

"If they're going to date my girls they need to be scared"

"They're not kids anymore El"

They'll always be my kids"

She shakes her head knowing her and Kathleen have their work cut out looking after this poor man tonight.

"Best behaviour!" she warns.

It's a little after eight when Kathleen knocks on the door to Elliot's apartment. He and Olivia both stand from the couch and walk over to the door. She lets him walk ahead and gives him a stern look to play nice while she waits a few steps behind him so he could greet Kathleen and her boyfriend alone.

Elliot opens the door and his face drops. This can't be happening. Liv notices the change in his demeanour but she can't see who is on the other side of the door that has caused it.

"Surprise" she hears Kathleen say just before she moves into the apartment slightly to hug him. "Hey Liv" she says over his shoulder and Liv gives her a wave.

"I take it from the look on your face dad you recognize my boyfriend" Kathleen questions, stepping backwards to grab the man's hand bringing him into the apartment. "I thought you'd be happy I was dating a cop"

When the man comes into view Liv understands why Elliots mood had changed so badly. Standing in the doorway hand in hand with his daughter was Joe Velasco.

--

A few months earlier.

Olivia and Elliot had been dating for a few weeks now. Well honestly they'd been practically dating since his wife died but they'd finally slept together a few weeks ago.

They were sitting on the sofa talking about old times when the mention of Cassidy had come up, he'd laughed and asked her what the hell she was thinking to have gone back there again and she'd blushed and thrown a pillow at his head.

"He had a cocky attitude. Something i'm clearly attracted to"

Elliot laughs and places the pillow down on the side she's not sitting in case she wants to chuck it at him again.

"Yeah but I can back it up" he replies which earns him an eye roll from Olivia.

"See what I mean"

"Any other cops I should know about?" He asks her half joking but also not wanting any surprises or awkwards conversations from people who could assume he knew and his stomach drops when he sees her look away from him to the blank tv screen. "Liv?"

"It was a one time thing. A crazy little drunken fling"

"Okay" he says as calmly as he can muster. He knows whoever it was is in her past but his bloody still boils at the thought of another man touching her. He tries to not be so jealous anymore, he knows she is his and she'd never go with anyone else but he can't fully stop himself.

Olivia looks at him and chews on her lip nervously which only makes him feel sick. He wonders who could be this bad? Who could be worse than Tucker? His mind goes to Fin but surely no amount of alcohol would make that happen.

"I don't want to make things awkward ok. I need you to promise you can stay professional?"

"No problem"

He says it so sincerely even though she knows there's no hope of it happening at all she almost wants to laugh.

"It was Velasco"

"What?" Elliot doesn't know whether he wants to laugh or cry. Velasco? He didn't realise she'd turned into a cougar when he had gone.

"Like I said it was just a one time thing"

"When?"

"A few months ago"

Elliot nods slowly reminding himself he couldn't get angry over this.

"Okay"

"Okay?"

"What else can I say?"

Olivia pushes herself up onto his knees and crawls over the sofa, flinging a leg over to straddle him. He doesn't move to touch her so she reaches for his hands and places them on her breasts and squeezes.

"I must prefer sex with you" she whispers into his neck as she starts to kiss upwards to his jawline.

"Yeah?"

"Yeah"

"Show me"

Current day.

Elliot looks over at Olivia and Olivia looks like a Deer in the headlights between the two men. Velasco looks between them both silently pleading for his life and wanting to turn around to Kathleen and tell her he needed to run away.

Kathleen had warned him of her father and how tough he could be. He'd felt special when she had told him she'd never introduced another man to her father and right now he wishes he was one of the luckier ones she had chosen not to. Why hadn't she warned him who her father was dating? She knew where he worked. She must know who his boss was and from the smirk on her face she had planned to surprise everyone. Well that had been the worst possible idea.

"Come in you two" Liv says, eventually breaking the silence and Kathleen pulls Velasco forward only dropping his hand to give Liv a hug.

"I take it you know Joe"

"I do. What a surprise"

Kathleen looks between them both and laughs.

"Sorry I didn't say anything. I kept thinking he'd put two and two together but he didn't and then it just became too funny to tell him so I thought id just surprise you all"

"You did that alright" Liv jokes with a nervous laugh. She looks behind her to see Elliot still standing there staring right at her obviously struggling to think of an acceptable reaction to the situation. She squeezes Kathleen's arm and nods behind her to the dining table they'd set silently telling her to go over while she sorted Elliot.

"El.." she says warily walking over to him.

"Don't"

"Please don't do anything stupid"

He laughs nervously and wipes his hand across his face.

"I'm the only one here that hasn't done anything stupid"

She sighs and reaches out to grab his hand and squeezes.

"Just think before you speak, she obviously really like him to introduce him"

"He's had my daughter and my.." he trails off his sentence, not able to finish it or he worries he might drag him back out his apartment and he knows that's only going to make Liv and Kathleen angry.

"El" she says sternly, pulling him back to reality. "Please"

He nods. He doesn't want to keep a secret from Kathleen but he doesn't want to blurt it out in anger so he lets Liv walk them back over to the couple standing in his living room while he fantasises about ripping his new son in laws head off and by the look of fear on the mans face his look says exactly what he's thinking.

--

Joe has barely eaten. The food is good, real good but he was sitting opposite Elliot who hadn't taken his eyes off him the whole meal. He'd never seen someone still look so angry as they ate.

Kathleen, bless her, had her hand on his arm trying to keep him calm thinking he was just nervous being her boyfriend meeting the parents for the first time. He had no idea how he was meant to tell her that he'd slept with what was essentially now her step mother.

Liv hadn't looked at him all night. She'd barely eaten either, instead she'd kept the wine glasses stuck to her lips. Half because she wanted a drink and half to hide the horrified look on her face from the young woman sitting opposite her.

"My dad was at SVU you know" Kathleen tries. She'd already told him this before but he hadn't clicked on who her father was. So she tried again to make conversation.

"Yeah, you've quite the rep"

"Oh?"

"I mean" he looks nervously to Olivia for help who gives him nothing. "I just mean you're remembered"

"My girlfriend is the Captain of your unit. That makes sense"

"Yeah. Of course" Joe drops his head and tries to eat another fork full of lasagne while Kathleen glares at her father for his shortness. She had been so sure he would like Joe and she couldn't understand his attitude.

She looks between the three of them and neither one of them is looking at her and suddenly she feels left out of something.

"Have you two met before then?"

"I've seen him around" his father tells her.

Every time Elliot came to the precinct it was similar to this. He would glare at Velasco and Velasco would have to pretend he had no idea why when Fin asked what he had done to annoy Stabler. Of course he would never tell anyone the truth which only made them joke that Elliot was scared that he was after his women. It was horrible and he dreaded seeing him. Luckily most of the time Olivia ushered him out quickly, mainly because she hated the way he wanted to make a fuss of in front of her squad to remind the younger man that she was with him. As much as she hated it though she found it flattering and she figures he deserves to feel a little jealous after all the years she had suffered.

"So Olivia, do you rate him as a detective? Maybe if he gets your approval my dad might lighten up?" She looks over to her father and kicks him under the table.

"He's good at his job" she tried to give the blandest answer, worried she'll say something that could be taken the wrong way by Elliot.

"I'm sure with you in charge he'll learn a lot"

Liv hears the clattering of a fork dropping to the plate next to her and takes a long gulp of her wine as Elliot sits back in his seat and puffs out his chest.

"Has she taught you a lot Joe?" He raises his eyebrows challenging him and Joe looks over to Olivia for help that she doesn't give, again. He knows either way he answers can't end well.

"She's a good boss"

Good. That was safe. Both he and Olivia think.

"Spent a lot of late nights together?"

"The job has some terrible hours as I'm sure you remember"

"Oh I remember alright". Elliot looks over to Olivia and his face softens for a moment as he remembers the late nights he'd spent with her and how he should have hated them more but being with her had made them bearable. "It's how I found her"

"Poor mum" Kathleen jokes, hoping it would lighten the mood. She'd never been angry at her father for falling in love with Olivia. He couldn't help how he felt and he had stayed loyal to his mother even if part of her thinks they should have just divorced and been truly happy with other people.

"Ever had a workplace romance Joe?"

The colour drains from his face wondering what Elliot was doing.

"No". It wasn't a lie, what he and Olivia did was hardly a romance.

"Hmm. Ever had a let's say.. physical romance with a colleague?"

"I think that's his business don't you think?" Olivia says sternly, giving Elliot the look.

"Excuse him. He probably wants to get hold of all your ex girlfriends to check you didn't screw them over" Kathleen explains and Velasco tries to give a small laugh.

"Well I promise you sir. You'll find no disgruntled ex's. We've always parted amicably and I've never had anything as serious as I do with your daughter". Finally a real smile crosses his face as he looks over to Kathleen and squeezed her hand that was laying on the table.

"Are you an honest man?"

He was, he truly was. He had never told Kathleen about a fling was his boss because it hadn't seemed important but now he wishes he had done so before because her father was making him look like a liar.

"I am"

"Really?"

Elliot was backing him into a corner and he didn't know where to go. Olivia was watching the car crash in front of her and prayed Elliot would let it drop because she knew the more she got involved the more suspicious it would look. Instead she reaches over into the centre of the table for the wine bottle and refills her glass.

"I slept with Olivia" Joe blurts out turning to his girlfriend. "It was one time long before I met you and maybe I should have said something but it didn't seem important and I'm so sorry" he was speaking so fast it was barely audible but she'd heard the important part. I slept with Olivia.

Kathleen's mouth had dropped open as soon as those first few words were out of his mouth. When he finished she looked around the table hoping someone would tell her it was a joke but she only found confirmation.

Her father was sitting back in his chair looking more relaxed than he had all night. Clearly certain that Joe was about to leave and he'd never need to see him again. Olivia was looking at her like she wanted to cry. She'd been so worried that Elliot's kids would all hate her for her relationship and she'd been so thankful that they'd all accepted her welcome arms and now she thinks that welcome to the family will be taken from her.

"Olivia? My dad's girlfriend? You slept with my dad's girlfriend?" She starts to laugh nervously as she turns back to Joe and he nods.

"That's … that's … "

She picks up her wine glass and mimicked the way liv had been drinking here all night by downing half of it.

"Who you slept with before is nothing to do with me I suppose"

The three of them look at her surprised by her reaction. She certainly didn't take after her father.

"Kathleen I never would have..". Olivia starts but the younger girl holds up her hand.

"Liv, it's fine. I'm sure you've had enough to put up with from him over the situation" she tilts her head to her father as she speaks. "It doesn't change anything for me ok?" She looks around the table telling them all with a look that it was ok.

Elliot scoffs and Olivia slaps his arm to silence him. After all he'd moved on from it - as best as he could.

"But I do think maybe we should go. You look like you're going to have an aneurysm". She jokes at her father and he gives a weak smile.

They four of them stand up equally thankful that this evening is over but at least the three of them minus Elliot were hoping they could get past this. Elliot still hopes Kathleen would walk out of here and dump his ass so he never has to see the man who has touched Olivia again.

"I would say it's been fun.." Olivia trails off awkwardly as they stand at the door and both women laugh.

"It will be. Good luck with this grump" she says referring to her father and he glares jokingly at her.

"See you at work Monday" Olivia tells Velasco and he nods. Monday just got even less appealing.

They say their goodbyes and when Elliot shuts the door behind them Olivia huffs loudly and walks back to the table to start clearing away.

"You're an ass Stabler. Why did you do that?"

"She needed to know"

"Did she?" Olivia knew she probably did but it didn't mean she wanted her to or that she wanted to be there when she found out.

"You know she did Liv"

He leans against the kitchen counter as she walks over to the sink and dumps a pile of dishes before walking back for more.

"Fine. But you're such a jealous asshole. You know that? It's infuriating!"

Elliot smirks because as much as she finds it infuriating he knows she also secretly likes it.

"Some things can't change"

She dumps the rest of the bowls by the sink and moves to stand in front of him.

"I hate you sometimes"

"Do you?" He teases as he steps in front of her, pushing her back against the counter and spreading his hands either side of her. "Or do you like it that I want to murder anyone that even thinks of touching you"

He notices the fire in her eyes and he knows she'd never answer truthfully but he notices the way her voice has dropped an octave when she speaks.

"I think" she pauses to look up into his eyes. "I think you have me all wrong"

It was a challenge and he smirks, moving his hand from the countertop to the middle of her thigh and grabbing at the dress and pulling it up as his fingers graze lightly up her inner thigh.

Her breath hitches but she tries to stay as neutral as possible.

"I know you want me right now. I know I'm getting you wet. Or have you been wet all night just seeing me that angry?"

He was right, she had found it strangely attractive every time he looked like he was about to reach over that table.

"I know you wore this dress because you wanted me to lift it up and bend you over and take you wherever I wanted you"

Olivia's breathing gets faster as he runs his fingers over the lace of her underwear. He was right of course and so she'd picked out underwear especially for the occasion.

"So sure of yourself Stabler"

Elliot smirks cockily as he pushes the lace aside and runs his fingers through her folds which leads her to reach out and grab his arms holding him closer.

"It sure does feel like you want me" he pushes a finger inside her and her legs open slightly more in response.

"Fuck you" she whispers and he pulls his finger away. She groans at the loss but before she can think of what to say he grabs her by the hand and walks her over to the dining table they had all just been sitting at and into the space Elliot had vacated. He places a hand on her back and pushes her forward until she's leaning on her elbows and she looks behind her excitedly.

"I had to sit right there and think of another man touching you. Do you know how angry that made me?" he asks her as he unbuckles his belt and the sound of it hitting the floor behind her makes her moan.

"I can guess"

"Do you know what I wanted to do? I wanted to bend you over and fuck you right in front of him so he could see how a real man fucks you"

Liv's head drops to her arms in front of her and she moans, pushing her butt out towards him.

"Like that thought do you? Him watching as I fuck you?"

She could only imagine how posessively Elliot would be fucking her in front of another man, especially one she'd slept with and it makes her ache with desire.

Elliot pushes her dress up and her panties down enough for them to fall to the floor for Liv to step her one heel out of them and widen her legs. "Please" she moans as he rubs his thumb over her clit. She can feel his dick bobbing against her legs and her walls are clenching around nothing waiting for him.

"What was that Captain?"

"I said please"

"Please what?"

"Please fuck me El" she was so far gone she was gripping the other side of the table to stop herself from crying out in need but when she felt him grab her hips either side she allowed a moan to fall out as her eyes closed.

Elliot goans as he pushes into her and she gasps. The grip on her hips tightens as his groin presses against her ass and he enjoys the feeling of being buried deep inside her for a second before she nudges backwards encouraging him to move. Elliot lets out a chuckle but pulls back and slides back into her.

"Like this?" He teases as he moves in and out of her painfully slowly. "Is this how he fucked you?"

Liv turns her head to look back at him and smirks. He started this but she isn't sure he can take it but she risks it anyway.

"Harder". He isn't sure what questions she's answering, possibly both.

Her mouth falls open and she can feel the pain in her hips where he's grabbing her but she knows he's probably trying to mark her and it only turns her on more. "Faster"

He groans and lets go of her hip with his right hand and reaches up to grab a handful of her hair at the scalp and pulls her head back.

"Oh god El"

She grips harder to the edge of the table as he fucks into her so hard she can tell he's giving her his all and she can barely speak. She's close to the edge but she needs a little more and when she tries to move her hand between her legs he bats it away and moved his hand from her hair to her chin to turn her head to face him as he leans closer, pushing her legs into the table as his hand slips from her hip to press at her clit and move his fingers in movement with his thrusts.

Liv looks behind her and she doesn't need to tell him with words what she wants. He leans closer and his mouth finds hers and their tongues battle for dominance in their sloppy kiss from the awkward angle.

"Say it Liv, he whispers against her lips before pulling back and looking into her eyes. "Say it" he repeats with his hand moving faster between her legs and her eyes roll back.

"I'm yours El" She opens her eyes again and they lock onto his and she can tell he's trying to hold back. "Come for me"

He lets out a groan as he thrusts a few more times until he's spilling himself inside of her. The feeling sends her spiraling with him as she presses her forehead into the table while groaning his name and she keeps it there until she comes down from the high, still panting but able to spring a sentence together.

"Feel better now?" She jokes turning her head to the side to see Elliot who had pushed himself back to a standing position palming her ass casually sliding in and out of her and the mix of them slides down her leg a little more each time he pulls out.

"Much"

She laughs and rolls her eyes. Jealous asshole.
