Chapter 16: Tango of death
When her friends left, Ericka turned to find Drac. Then, she was joined by Mavis.
"Did you see dad going that way?" Mavis asked.
"Yep. Let's follow him." Ericka said.
The two vampires followed Drac to that forbidden room.
Mavis took in her bat form and Ericka stayed in her human/vampire form and followed Drac and Ericka. The two realized they lost sight them, until Ericka heard sounds from a stone face.
"Mavis, over here." She called her.
They were on their way to figure out where Dracula was going until they went into a rat who kept hissing at them. Then Mavis just punched him in the face and they kept going.
Meanwhile Dracula was following Eunuch through the tunnel under was about to dive when she had to put on her mermaid necklace. When Dracula saw what did he did the same thing too.
They made it to the heart of Atlantis where the instrument of destruction was little did Eunuch know that she was be big trouble and I will be at the Dracula to save her.
Eunuch: There it is.
One of the traps almost hurt her until Dracula came to her rescue. She thought that he hated humans.
Eunuch: You saved my life.
Dracula:Of course. Why wouldn't I?
Eunuch: I just can't believe you would do that for a human.
Dracula:Humans, monsters, what's the difference?
Eunuch:Yeah, right. Right.
Eunuch:Wait. What are you doing here?
Dracula: Oh, uh... Well, you know, vampires can predict the future, so I knew you would need my help.
Eunuch: Ha! Never heard that before.
Dracula: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. It's a well-known fact.
Dracula:What are you doing here?
Eunuch: Oh! Uh...
Eunuch :Well, I'm here to get that.
Eunuch:Yeah, it's a family heirloom.
Eunuch: Yeah, it was lost at sea, and my great-grandfather is... Was!
Eunuch:Uh, was totally obsessed with getting it back.
Eunuch:So, anywho, thanks for saving my life, but I can take it from…
But before she can go on another hatchet try to kill her but Dracula saved her.
Eunuch:Got to be a little more careful.
Eunuch:How many times can you save my life, right?
Dracula:I don't know. Every time?
Eunuch:Really? Well, then…
Traps were set off but Dracula was there to protect the Captain Eunuch while they were dancing the tango of death and when they got to the end she was very impressed on how he protected her.
Eunuch :Wow!
Eunuch: Ah, that was incredible.
Dracula: Oh, uh...
Dracula: Don't you want to get your family heirloom thingy?
Eunuch: Oh. Right.
Eunuch: Got it.
She got the instrument of destruction but little does she know that the tunnel was collapsing so Dracula saved her again.
Dracula and Eunuch: Mmm.
Eunuch: Oh, here, let me get that for you.
It took few minutes to track down Drac and Eunuch again. Mavis and Ericka couldn't find them as they kept searching for them. Finally, they found them together, much to their horror.
"Dad?!" Mavis yelled.
Drac?!" Ericka gasped.
The first thing they saw was Drac was still a pincushion with spikes, arrows, and an axe on his head, which Eunuch was trying to pull it out from him, but Mavis and Ericka thought Eunuch was trying to kill him with the axe.
"Mavis? Ericka ?" Drac asked as Eunuch pulled the axe from his head.
"What are you doing to my father?" Mavis shrieked angrily at Eunuch.
Mavis and Ericka , with her wandstaff, levitated Eunuch up into the air and left her dangling.
"Mavis! Ericka! Stop! Put her down!" Drac told them
Both girls refused as they kept dangling Eunuch in the air.
"No way, she's trying to hurt you! Come on, Drac, why can't you see that?" Ericka asked.
"Because I… because…" Drac realized he can't keep a secret from her own daughter and wife anymore as he confessed, "Because I zinged."
Mavis and Ericka were so stunned, they dropped Eunuch . "What?"
"I zinged… with Eunuch ." Drac answered.
"No, that can't be true. In your case, you only zing once," Ericka insisted.
"That's what I thought too." Drac shrugged.
"Zing? What's a zing?" Eunuch asked.
"Uh, well, it's a thing for monsters," Drac explained. "It's kind like our love at first sight."
This was way too much for Eunuch . She began to feel conflicted, even guilty.
"What? No. No, no, no, no, you don't even know me," she protested.
"Well, not yet, but we're just—"
Eunuch interrupted. "No, no, you don't understand. I can't be with you. I could never be with someone like you. I could never be with… a monster!" She turned and walked away, carrying the device.
Drac was heartbroken. Mavis and Ericka went up to him.
"Dad, we're so sorry. We just…" Mavis,Luna apologized.
Drac sighed. "It doesn't matter. You heard what she said." He walked away from Mavis,Luna and Ericka , wearing his cape that he left behind earlier and leaving the three girls alone.
"But a zing never lies," Mavis muttered, sharing the same glance to Ericka , who agreed of what she just said.
