PROLOGUE: The Death Of A Hero
This is a story with Ash Ketchum being the main character. I will continue this story if only the readers are interested in it.
Silence.
It was the only thing in this entire destroyed area.
There is nothing in this charred ground. No life, no vegetation, not even a blade of grass. The entire ground is covered with ashes from burnt out trees. It seemed as if a great destruction had occurred here.
In the middle of this area, a body lied on this charred ground. A body barely alive and breathing. It was body of a man. A man that, even though covered in burns and blood, has a look of unnatural beauty and handsomeness, that can rival even the beauty of angels of heaven.
Ashura Ketchum, the Champion Of Kanto, and the youngest Aura Guardian, in history, looked at the skies, that was darkened by black smog, and awaited his death.
He knows that he will die. His body was far too damaged to heal, even for his superhuman healing. Not to mention that his Aura reserves is completely depleted, so he can't heal himself with it.
He had also lost the feeling on his left arm, which was now burned and twisted beyond recognition. Both of his feets were also crushed to a bloody pulp, and his chest had third degree burns and multiple gaping holes, that has now turned slightly light purple due to the blood clots. He even has a gaping wound on his neck, which made breathing difficult for him, not that he will breathe for long.
His only regret is that he will not get to see his mother or his friends for the final time.
He released a slow painful sign, as he recollected the events on how he got to this sorry state.
The Leader Of Team Rocket, Giovanni Sakaki, had somehow gotten his dirty hands on the Space-Time Manipulator Machine that, Cyrus had invented many years ago.
It was still a mystery for him, in how he had gotten his hands on the machine, as it was under heavy Security of The Rangers Union in the Isolated Region Of Almia. But somehow the notorious leader of the Rockets had not only gotten the machine, but had also somehow managed to steal the Two Celestial Orbs, Of Palkia And Dialga, located in The Sinnoh Region.
It didn't take him long to realise Giovanni's dark intentions. Just like the mad man Cyrus all those years ago, he too wanted to recreate the Universe on his image, by destroying the current one.
He managed to successfully warn the League, who quickly rallied to stop the Mad Man. They managed to locate Giovanni's base in Mount Coronet, which was formerly occupied by Cyrus of Team Galactic.
But it was already too late for them. By the time Ash had managed to reach the control room, Giovanni had already turned on the machine. And while he successfully managed to defeat Giovanni, he couldn't stop the machine, as the machine was designed in such a way, that it couldn't be stopped.
So he decided to do the only thing that was left.
He decided to destroy the machine.
He knows the energy released by destroying the machine, will be strong enough to destroy this entire planet to smithereens. So he will have to contain the blast by his Aura.
He ordered all the nearby forces to evacuate the mountain, as he knows that even if he contains the energy, the explosion will be strong enough to destroy anything within ten miles of radius.
The men, we're not very happy at the prospect of leaving him alone, as he had worked with them in many occasions. It took a lot of coaxing to get them to leave, telling them that this is the only way.
His Pokemon however, were a different story. They refused to leave him, and even though they knew that it was certain death if they stayed here, they were adamant at staying by their Trainer's side.
Fortunately he successfully managed to return them, even Pikachu, in their Pokeballs, before sending them away with the retreating Rangers. Even though he knows that all of them will hate him, for this stunt, their entire life.
"I am sorry, my friends but this is the only way" He thought, closing his eyes as he inhaled a painful breathe"I want you to live your life, not die an unnecessary death".
As soon as he had heard the confirmation, that The Rangers were at a safe distance, he blew the machine to hell. His Aura Barriers managed to contain the blast, so that it doesn't blow the planet to oblivion, but even then it was powerful enough to turn miles of lush forest into charred cinders.
He closed his tired eyes, and awaited his death. But to his astonishment it wouldn't come. He doesn't know why. The damage done to his body should have killed him hours ago, but even now he was breathing.
"What is happening Arceus?" Ash thought miserably"Why ain't I dead? Why is not my soul leaving this body? Is this my fate, to suffer eternal pain? Arceus please answer me".
As if answering his prayer, he heard the noise of distant footsteps, approaching him. He slowly, painfully, turned his head to the noise, and what he saw astonished him.
It was a man, maybe in his early forties, wearing a pure white trench coat, with Golden Linings. He wore golden combat boots, and had blazing white hair which framed his, aged yet powerful looking aristocratic, face like a Halo.
The most most eye catching thing about the man were his Golden Earings, and the Golden Wheel like pendant which he is wearing. The golden accessories of the man, blazed in a soft out-worldly golden hue, even though the dark clouds had obscured the sunlight.
The man came to a halt by his side, and looked at his downed form, an unmistaken emotion of utter grief and sadness in his golden eyes.
"Who is this man? Why is he looking so sad?" Ash wondered thoughtfully. Suddenly a drop of tear slid down the man's left eye, before dropping on his right arm.
His hands recoiled, as he felt a burning sensation on the area where the tear had dropped.
"W..wh..who...ar...you?" Ash choked out, the deep gash on his neck is making him difficult for him to speak clearly.
The man locked his eyes with him, and Ash noticed that the man's eyes is very similar to his. Just like him the stranger too had beautiful Golden Amber eyes, that can draw anyone in.
"Me?" The man questioned, voice heavy with grief, "I am just a man who had come to pay his respect to a fallen hero".
"No, Y..you can't...be a...man" Ash denied, his voice breaking as he coughed out clots of blood "Y..you...r tears..are burning m...y skin...more..than..any injury. You..can't be...normal".
"Nothing escapes you, huh, Ash!" The man chuckled, as he crouched down on his knees. He pressed his right hand on his torn neck, which glowed in golden hue in colour.
Ash felt an warm feeling sweeping through his neck, and the pain on his body subsides a little.
"What!" He exclaimed, before his eyes widened. His voice is now normal, and it isn't a pain to talk anymore. He placed a hand on his neck but found that his wound is still open.
"Careful! I have only temporarily healed your voice" The man said smiling a little.
Ash looked at the man and asked once again "Who are you?".
"You know me Ash!" The Man said smiling sadly "I hope you haven't forgotten our last meeting at Michana Town".
Ash's eyes widened at that.
"Arceus!!" He whispered.
Yes. It was Arceus. The Primordial One. The Creator Of The Universe. The God Of All Life.
Ash moved his right arm and touched Arceus's sacred feet, as a sign of respect. But the Original One stepped back.
"Don't touch my feet, my child" The Creator said sadly "I don't deserve your respect".
The Creator Of The Universe, looked at Ash's downed form with tears in his eyes. Even though the dying Aura Guardian's body was covered with soot, burns and blood, his beauty hadn't deserted him. Ash's sunkissed tan skin still glowed in it's moonlike complexion, giving beauty to the destroyed surroundings. And his face, still retained the same handsomeness that can draw anyone, while his eyes Golden Amber eyes blazed like twin suns.
His son was beautiful, even in his deathbed.
"Why my Lord?" Ash asked confused.
"I don't deserve it my child, I don't deserve it" Arceus sobbed "You have suffered so much for me, for us Legendaries. For your fellow humans. So many times you have been wronged, yet you didn't protest. You saved this World so many times, you risked your life for the sake of all, yet you never received even a word of gratitude. And now because of someone elses mistake, you lie on your deathbed".
"I did my duty, My Lord" Ash assured with a smile. He was a little shocked at seeing the Creator Of The Universe, a God crying on his behalf. Him, a insignificant lowly human.
Arceus looked at him with sorrow "You did your duty as my Child. But did I do my duty as a Father?".
Ash's body froze.
"Father???" He thought in shock and confusion.
"What? What are you saying My Lord? I can't be your child" Ash spoke hurriedly, his mind reeling "My mother is Delia..
"You are adopted" Arceus spoke, effectively silencing his rambling "Why do you think that your mother always avoided taking about your father?".
Seeing Ash shocked into silence, he continued "Your Mother Delia, didn't marry, neither are you her biological son. She found you on her doorsteps and decided to adopt you, and apart from her Only Professor Oak knows about it".
Ash closed his eyes, as tears of pain flowed down his golden orbs. Opening his eyes he asks "So what am I?" He croaked out "Human? Pokemon? What?".
"You are a human!" Arceus said, his eyes glazed "I took a part of my power, and crafted you as such. You are a Demi-God Ash, a Demi-God".
Now Ash understood why he was so different from other humans. His unnaturally High amount of Aura. His inhuman strength. His latent Psychic ability, all points out that he isn't natural.
Heck his Aura is also Golden is colour, instead of the natural Sky Blue colour of the Aura Guardians. Even his teacher Riley said, that their wasn't anyone with Golden Aura, even in history.
"I predicted the coming storm that will shake this World, that is why I created you to save it" Arceus, seeing his silence continued, "I did my duty as a God for the people, but I failed as a father. Forgive me my son".
He hung his head, as more tears streamed down his face.
"Don't cry father!" Ash mumbled "I forgive you".
"How can you forgive this cruel father Ash? It sometime astounds me, seeing your forgiving nature. Someone on your position would have cursed me" Arceus looked at his son with a proud glint on his eyes "You really make me proud, My Son".
"I don't wan't to die with bitterness on my heart, Father. And I know, that it's not your fault" Ash mumbled, before touching Arceus feet "And now that I have touched your feet, I am relieved from all my burdens".
Arceus closed his eyes, as fresh tears fell at the misfortune that has befallen his son.
"I can't heal you my son!" Arceus confessed "Being so close to the Celestial Orbs, have damaged not only your body but your soul too, beyond reparation".
"So why ain't I dying? Why isn't my soul leaving this battered body" Ash asked tiredly. Now that he has met his Father, he wanted to finally rest in eternal sleep.
"It is because of your good deeds, Ash" Arceus said, with a small smile of pride on his face.
"My good deeds?" Ash asked confused.
"You know the Aura is a Sentient force, which binds the Universe together" Arceus explained, and seeing Ash nod in confirmation, he continued "Well the Aura has seen all the good deeds you have done, so it has clutched your soul in your body, refusing to let you go. It had bounded your soul to your mortal form refusing to let go, even though your body is destroyed beyond belief".
Arceus couldn't be more proud of his son. Even the Force which binds the Fabric Of Universe is refusing to let such a soul go.
Ash on the other hand, has his eyes widened in horror. So is that his fate? His soul being bounded to a broken body for eternity. Can't he die in peace?
"But don't worry, My Son. That is why I have come here. To relieve you of your pain" Arceus gently said, even though it hurts him to part way with his son "I will transfer your soul in a new body. A new life for you. It is the most I can do, after all you have helped me".
"But you said, you can't do that?".
"I said I can't do that in this world" Arceus smiled "But I can make you a new body in another Universe and transfer your soul there. It will a new life for you".
Ash closed his eyes "Thank you!" He breathed in relief.
"But remember the Universe will be very different than this. There will be no Pokemon or anything else there" Arceus said seriously "You will learn more about the place when you go there".
Ash nodded, and slowly closed his eyes, suddenly feeling very sleepy. His body was slowly losing power, and he felt the faint hold that seemed to hold his soul together with his body, began to loose.
Arceus dropped on his knees, before sitting beside his son. He gently took his son's head and placed it on his lap.
"Don't worry, I will always guide you, My Son. Even though we will be Universes apart, I will always guide you" The God mumbled, as he slowly petted his Son's forehead, running his fingers through his Son's Raven-Black Hair, that can put even the beauty of a Moonless Night Sky to shame.
Ash's breathing slowed down, as he slowly closed his Golden-Amber eyes.
"Goodbye My Son" Arceus bid his farewell "And Sleep Well!".
That was the last thing Ash heard, before his breathing completely stopped. His hands became limp and the hold that the Aura had over his soul was destroyed.
The moment his soul departed from his body, the entire World shrieked it's mourning. Dark Clouds covered the entire World, obscuring the bright rays of the Sun. Rivers and Oceans raged in stormy fury, while Wild Pokemon, even the Legendaries, howled and lamented in sadness and agony. It seemed as if the entire world mourned the death of the brave souled one.
Arceus shed a few more tears, but he put on a reluctant smile on his face. His son in now finally free from all his misfortunes and burdens. Now he will be starting his new life in a complete different Universe. It will be a fresh start for him.
He only hoped that this new life will be kinder to his son, than his previous life.
Important Notes:-
1) Ash Ketchum is an Aura Guardian, with latent Psychic Power.
2) He can manupulate his Aura to increase his already superhuman Strenght, Speed, Senses and fighting skills.
3) He can use his Aura as a both Offensive and Defensive Capabilities. Like making A Sword made of pure Aura, Making a Aura Barrier or Aura Sphere.
4) Ash can leviate in the air (like Wanda) by using his Latent Psychic Powers.
5) Ash's body, even when not using Aura, is durable. I mean stupidly durable, as he son of the creator of the Pokemon Universe.
6) Ash is Arceus's mortal Son. Arceus created him to bring balance and save the World, since Arceus can't interfere directly.
This is a new idea, I am toying, with Ash being Arceus's mortal creation. And with his death, the God Of Pokemon Universe and sends his soul in different Universe.
Ash is Arceus son but he is human. As said in the story, Arceus created Ash so that he can save the World, since Arceus can't break the cosmic balance by directly involving in mortal matters.
