The duo ended up finding a island to have their mini vacation on, far enough from Berk to have a sense of peace. Today was the day toothless settled on to tell hiccup how he felt about him.
They gathered fish, berries and spices for lunch. Hiccup being oblivious to what was going to be asked just munched happily on his portion of lunch enjoying it. After they finished eating it was time for toothless to get the courage to ask hiccup to be his mate.
But Hiccup beat Toothless to the punch, "hey toothless I wanted to tell you something important, I've wanted to ask if we could be mates!" Hiccup said causing Toothless to freeze and nearly lose his balance in the process.
They stayed there for about 5 minutes until Toothless finally processed what Hiccup just told him. "Wait really??" Toothless said still not fully believing what he heard.
Hiccup nodded shyly waiting for a reply from Toothless that came in the form of toothless tackling hiccup to the ground and licking him a lot. "Yes I will be your mate!" He said in a whispered sweet voice.
