It was a rainy day in 2005. It was in Forks Arizona. A new family moved into the town. They were a bit strange. They were a big family. There was a dad, a mum, a gran and three kids. They moved to the town but brought little furniture. The house they had bought was in the woods and out of the way of most of the town.
People in the town noticed them and spoke to each other about them. They were saying things like how they were "not normal" because they didn't like to speak to other people. The kids attended the local high school.
The kids arrived in a car that had six seats. It was a grey car and it sounded like they were listening to the radio as they got out. One of them was driving and the others were sat in the front and back. It was raining a little but not a lot. It was like little sprinkles of rain.
"Who are those new kids?" a kid asked.
"I don't know, but they look weird." another kid said.
On their first day at the school they walked in and walked like they were very cool kids. Other kids stared at them. They were dressed in very nice clothes that stuck out from the other kids at school. As they walked, the air felt a little colder around them. In Forks it rained a lot but their hair always seemed to be pretty okay and the girls were very attracted to the boys.
"Um, hi." a girl said to one of the cool kids.
"Hey." the cool kid replied.
The girl blushed and then rushed away feeling embarrassed. She whispered to her friends and they looked back at the cool kid and he just walked on like he didn't notice. These new kids seemed to be capturing the attention of everyone.
It was approaching class time and they went to class. The cool kids were different ages so they went into different classrooms. As they walked past other students, the other kids could feel the breeze from when they walked past them.
They all sat down in the seats and class began. One of the cool kids was called Ed and he was the one most people were focused on. Ed sat down and class started.
"Welcome back to class today it is English. I hope you have done your homework and read chapters 2 to 45 from the book we are reading for english class." the female teacher said.
"Yes Miss Smith." the kids said in response.
"Ah, I almost had forgotten, we have a new student, Ed. Ed, come to the front to say a few words and introduce yourself to the class." Miss Smith said.
Ed sighed a little but he got up slowly and made his way towards the smart board.
