Onto The Story,

Dimension #302

Two familiar faces stood around a map on a table in Mewni's Monster castle, hidden in a secret base.

"She is too powerful," said Marco, covered in heavy armor.

"I know, we lost a lot of talented soldiers from the last raid," said a rather disappointed Star." I don't understand. I thought they were afraid of cats?"

'Well that was a rumor, which we blindly followed"

"So what's our next move, Marco? Cause at this pace, Mewni will be destroyed if we don't do something soon"

"I can't believe they would be so ruthless, I mean they killed so many mewmans without thinking twice"

"They are all under Toffee's control Marco. Don't forget that. All of them aren't so ruthless"

Marco sighed and smiled

"You know Star, this is the behavior that made me fall in love with you"

"I know, but now is not the time, what we need is a plan"

"I know but what is the point? The monsters are too strong and are conquering our land day by day. We are short on mewmans and land."

"Wait! What about the device that was made with Omnitraxis's remains"

"It's still a Prototype Star. You can't use it until it's safe"

"I know but-"

"No buts. It's too dangerous and we're not risking it, understand?" Marco interrupted

"Fine," Star replied, "but what if it's an emergency? What if the monsters attack the castle and have no choice? Then?"

"Maybe, but still, why do you think the monster would attack the castle? It's the safest place on Mewni"

"They can do whatever they want Marco. We can't control them"

"Well, it's been a day. I hope they don't attack at night"

Star headed to her room after waving goodbye to Marco, skipping dinner as she lost her appetite. While in her bed, she thought about how much had changed in the past few months. Toffee had returned, the monsters got corrupted, and attacked Mewni's kingdoms, killing anyone who got in their way. Day by Day, the map of Mewni was shrinking. The monsters were attacking every day. Star tried everything she could do to help. Things changed drastically after the attack on the MHC and the king and queen.

Even though Star knew Toffee was controlling them, there was no turning back, because once a monster tastes blood, It will always have a hunger for it. The only way to stop the corruption and stop the monsters was to kill them all. The king and queen didn't make it. Nor did the MHC. Losing her mother and father had been the most difficult thing she had ever faced.

Her mother's last words were "Protect Mewni with all of your power" and she still follows it. Toffee's last attack made them lose a lot of soldiers, and now they were a step closer to the castle.

Star wondered what would've happened if Toffee was never there. Maybe they could've made peace with the monsters.

The allied kingdoms were also numbered. When St.O was attacked, they killed all the princes and Miss Heinous. Star tried everything she could to help the kingdoms recover from the loss, but they all crumbled after it. Star even tried to free Eclipsa in hopes of getting help. But without Rhombulus, its trial was useless.

The prototype was the only thing that gave hope to Star. She hoped she could use it to reach out to another universe and ask for help. Yet, the idea was still a possibility since no one knew what danger it might hold.

As Star wondered these thoughts she grew tired and Eventually fell asleep.

-BANG-

A loud noise woke Star up as she jolted upright from her bed, taking the wand from her bedside table and slowly approaching the door. She held her wand in a position to attack. She slowly turned the knob and opened the door, getting ready to attack but only to be greeted with darkness and eerily silence. She walked towards the sound in silence on the red velvet carpet. Each painting looked as if it were staring at her.

She came to a halt when a corridor led to a room. In the room where the prototype is kept, the door was open and she could see the prototype. She walked up to it and stared at it for a while before grabbing it. She kept it in her purse assuring herself that she just took it 'just in case' before continuing her midnight walk.

At last, she reached the end of the corridor, Leading straight to the kitchen. She slowly opened the door.

"Hello? Is anyone there?" No one answered.

She looked around until she spotted a statue at a distance. Upon closer inspection, the figure looked a lot like Marco. The statue was holding a bowl of nachos. At first, Star just stared at the face, smiling in awe of how cute the statue seemed...until something clicked.

The statue was way too realistic. Each hair is perfectly done. His Hoodie. The chocolate brown eyes. Even his mole. All were precise, which was just not possible. Unless...

"No. NO! It can't be"

Her Marco, had been yada yadad. Set in stone, forever.

"Oh, but it is"

Star could recognize that voice anywhere. The person who changed her life. Or precisely, the lizard.

Toffee

"Narwhal Blast!"

She quickly turned and aimed at the side where the sound came from. But it didn't affect Toffee. It hit his arm and he simply grew a new one.

" I see you saw my surprise," He said calmly smirking.

"Why did you do this to him?" Star asked, crying

"Because your only weakness is the ones close to you. And if you don't surrender, maybe Mewni will have the same fate as Marco"

"Never. GUARDS!" Star screamed so her voice could be heard throughout the castle. But no one arrived

"Oh Yeah! This is a raid, by the way, so we took care of your guards before you came here. Everyone is gone, including the monsters. I wanted to have a chat with you and was hoping we could negotiate."

"Hmmm? Let me think... NEVER! Cupcake-" Before Star could complete the spell, Toffee's tail shook and swept the wand as far as possible out the window.

"Now, Now. We can't let you snoop around with your wand, can we?"

Star just glared at him. Cant belief what happened in the last few minutes. Her boyfriend got yada yadad, The whole castle got taken down and she just lost her wand.

"So, do we have an agreement? Toffee asked again.

"No, I will never give up. I will continue to fight you until there is life in me!" Star said, trying to sound as intimidating as she could. But Alas! It did not affect the lizard.

Toffee just stood there and sighed

"Why are you kids making it so difficult to make you understand? Well, I guess you leave me no choice. Well monsters, you can have one more prey for today"

Time slowed down as from each corner monsters jumped at her. Star was surprised at the scene. Can't believe she believed Toffee when he said they were alone. But to her credit, the monster was also so quiet.

Star waited for her demise, as she knew there was no escape from this.

She recalled all her moments with Marco, being glad they were able to share those until she remembered.

The Prototype.

She quickly took it out of her purse, flipped the switch, pointed it down, and pressed the button. A portal opened below her and she quickly fell into it.

On the other side, she pressed the button again and quickly closed the portal before the monsters could enter. If the research was correct, the connection between her universe and the one she is currently in should be there until the switch is flipped again.

But she had no idea what this universe was, maybe she could ask for help, but what if they deny it? What if they are evil?

Star sighed and took that thought away for now. Then she remembered a small but big detail about the monsters. Buff Frog, Toffee's best, was not there. And since he was the only one who resisted killing, maybe Star could convince him to help? as he wasn't for the fight, which he is always present, means he had a feud with Toffee and left him or he got killed by Toffee. If we go with the first option maybe she can find where she is and ask him about it.

Her thoughts stopped as a hand placed on her shoulder she turned and saw a girl of her age.

"Hey, are you okay?" she asked

But Star didn't reply, the girl looked familiar to someone. Marco. She looked familiar to Marco. The hair color, the chocolate brown eyes, the mole. It matched Marco perfectly.

"Are you related to Marco?" Star asked

" Yes, he is my brother, Why? Do you-" Before she could complete, Star hugged to girl tightly. Maybe everything wasn't over. Maybe her original plan for asking for help could work and realizing Marco is here, everything is gonna be just fine.

Star just continued to hug the surprised girl while the sunset was behind them. What she didn't know was in her universe someone was waiting for her. Growing Impatient.

The scene shifts to midnight. Right before Star left. Toffee watched as everyone monster of his Elite was going to crush the girl. But a sudden quick, very quick flash caught his eye. But before he could respond the monstered all toppled over on the spot.

"Now all of you, Move," Toffee said in his usual but commanding voice. All the monsters did what they were told as Toffee slowly walked to the spot. There was no sign of her.

"Uh, boss?" A monster named Beardeer asked

"What is it?" Toffee asked in arrogance

"The princess isn't there"

"I know that you fool, she escaped" It seems Star was cleverer than he imagined. No worries. He knew no matter what happens, She Will Come Back.

Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, the end... of the cliffhanger. This will be a 2 parter. Like my last story, I hope the length is satisfying, Ill try to upload more.

Anyway I dont have much to say right now except this took a reaaallly long time to edit.
