"Nowhere left to run hut'uun."
The prince turned to face the ARC Trooper and shook his head.
"I'm guessing this is about your captain." Uldren quizzed Fives, as he clutched the wound in his shoulder-a parting gift from the 501st's captain-that the recent commotion had only helped to worsen. "This wasn't about him. If it were up to me, I would've left him alone. It was supposed to be between me and Cayde. He made the foolish decision to interfer-." He was cut off when Fives smashed the butt of his blaster rifle into his face. The prince staggered back, spitting out blood and teeth.
"Don't you kriffing dare talk about him like that!" Fives hissed at him.
Uldren rolled his eyes at the ARC. "I think you and I both know you'd have rather the Vanguard died than him. The life of a practical stranger for the life of a brother. You'd make that trade would you?"
That gave Fives pause...but not for long as he once again had his blaster pointed at Uldren. "He's dead. You killed him? And for what? What was any of it for? All the murder? The destruction? All of it for your fierfek of a dead sister."
This caused Uldren to chuckle. "You say that as If you wouldn't go to same lengths to save those you cared about...say, your captain? Could you really say you wouldn't tear apart the galaxy just to save your brother. Maybe you can, but then you'd be a liar wouldn't you."
"I only did what anyone else would've done in my position. To want to save your loved ones is only natural." He paused and sighed. "I only regret that it wasn't really her." He then turned back to address Fives. "Go on and finish it. Maybe then...I'll get to see her again." He said, voice tinged with regret.
Fives nodded, and wordless put the blaster to Uldren's head.
The report of a blaster shot echoed throughout that part of the Watchtower.
