(Serena and Nate begin to hang out heavily. They meet up for coffee)
Nate: "What is this, like the sixth week in a row we've hung out?"
Serena: "You're keeping score? Are you tired of me already?"
Nate: "No. I'm just saying. You and I are forced to rely on each other now that our best friends are getting married."
Serena: "The two of them are inseparable. It's so great."
Nate: "And to think, it was supposed to me."
Serena: "We were all so different back then."
Nate: "We all had our lives so planned out. If things worked out the way we thought, where would you be?"
Serena: "I don't know… Probably away somewhere exotic."
Nate: "Honestly Serena, where do you think you'd be at this point in your life?"
Serena: "I don't know and honestly that's what scares me. You guys all know who you are and what you want. Blair is putting together her fashion empire, Chuck has The Empire, and several nightclubs. You're taking over the Spectator without your grandfather's influence I might add, and I have no idea what I want. I want to do something meaningful. Help people."
Nate: "There is plenty you could do to help. Just look into it."
Serena: "Yeah, but I don't just want to sign my name to some organization. I want my own cause. I want it to be personal."
Nate: "I think you should start with an organization, see what's out there and see what you are interested in."
Serena: "That's a good idea Nate."
