Izuku POV

'Sorry kid, it's not gonna happen...'

'That's just sad.'

'I thought you'd at least had some fight in you.'

"You know, if you really want to be a hero that badly, There actually might be another way... Just pray that you'll be born with a Quirk in your next life, and take a swan-dive off the roof of the building.'

Those red eyes, so familiar and mesmerizing. Piercing, troublesome pools of blood red that stared me down as the smell of caramel faded out the door, those beautiful eyes with it. Only the mocking laughs trailed behind, but soon they had left me too. All alone, again.

'Pro heroes are always having to risk their lives. Some villains just can't be beaten without powers. So, can you be a hero? Not without a Quirk. Just, make sure your dreams are attainable. Realistic. Understand?'

'I'm sorry, Izuku.'

Why couldn't you see? Why couldn't you understand? That all this time, all I wanted was a little bit of faith. My world was crumbling, eating away at it's self. Instead you all forced me to learn, forced me to truly understand that this quirk oriented society was cruel. To them a quirkless person was worth nothing, the lowest of the lows.

That scrawny innocent kid with green curls had the wool pulled from his eyes that day. Izuku felt purposeless, after all a person without a quirk had no use.

That day Izuku Midoriya jumped from a bridge, never to be seen again. The only indication of the green mess of a boy ever being there in the first place were a pair of red shoes and his yellow backpack.

"Is he finally ready Master?" The creepy voice questioned, the sound of fingers scratching against flesh audible.

"Yes Tomura," The other said, his teeth showing as he smiled. "Your new pet is ready for your debut."

Something was wrong. Seriously wrong.
