Once dinner was over Hagrid made his way over to the waiting girl as everybody else left the Hall.

"Hello there Marce, How you been?" He kindly asked

Smiling Lucille was about to answer until she felt a pair of eyes gazing at her, turning her head slightly she noticed a boy with slicked back blond hair staring at her. Confused Hagrid followed her gaze as the boy sneered at the two of them before taking his leave.

"Don't mind him little Snowflake, he's just hard to get along with is all."

Shifting her gaze back to Hagrid she raised a curious brow. Knowing fully well what she was up to Hagrid shook his head.

"His name's Draco Malfoy, and he likes to cause trouble, especially to those that aren't pureblooded like he is. So be wary of him now ya' hear."

Nodding Lucille went to make her way out of the Hall only to be stopped as Hagrid stretched out his arms.

"What? I don't get my hugs no more?" He playfully asked with a large grin on his features.

"Smiling in amusement Lucille gave the gentle giant a hug only to give a delighted squeal and laugh as he picked her up and spun her around. Placing her back down on her feet he watched as she followed Professor Sprout to her new common room.

Following Professor Sprout, Lucille looked around the corridor when she spotted a woman walking towards them in what appeared to be a nurse's outfit. They all came to a stop causing Lucille to grow confused as the two women began to speak.

"Hello dear, I'm Madam Pomfrey, the head nurse here at Hogwarts."

"H-Hello Ma'am."

"I was just wondering what happened to your eye dear. Maybe I can help if you'd like."

Taking a step back Lucille quickly covered her left eye and quickly shook her head.

"N-no thank you, Ma'am, th-that won't be ne-necessary!"

Realizing what was happening after a moment the two women attempted to calm the girl.

"Ms. Snow!"

"Ms. Snow, you must calm down."

Trying to do as they instructed Lucille saw a few images flash threw her mind causing her to choke on an intake of air and begin to cough. Noticing this the two women didn't know what exactly was happening. Just then Lucille collapsed to the ground, gasping the two kneeled down to find she was still having issues breathing. Panicking the two turned towards each other, neither noticing the fast approaching footsteps heading their way.

Making her way down the corridor of the hall McGonagall noticed Madam Pomfrey and Professor Sprout kneeling on the ground. Confused she made her way over only to gasp upon seeing the new student collapsed to the floor.

"What in Merlins' name happened here!?!" She asked surprising the two

Explaining the situation to her McGonagall nodded in understanding in confusion. Summoning a stretcher she had Lucille placed onto it.

"Madam Pomfrey, you may take her to the infirmary, however, do not remove her eyepatch or else this may happen once again. She must have her reasons for not removing it as Hagrid has previously stated at dinner. I will explain to the other professors if she has not woken by morning."

"Yes, Madam McGonagall."

The next morning Madam Pomfrey made her way to check on the still sleeping girl, coming upon her bed the nurse immediately noticed how she was panting and sweating profusely causing her to frown worriedly. Placing a gentle hand on Lucille's forehead her frown deepened as she found that the girl was running a very high fever. Turning on her heel she quickly fetched a bowl of cool water and a rag, dipping the latter into the water she carefully placed it onto the girl's head earning a soft sigh of relief and watched as the girl's tense muscles finally relaxed.

Sighing Pomfrey stood and made her way out of the infirmary and towards the great hall to inform McGonagall and Sprout of the recent development. Entering Pomfrey sat next to McGonagall.

Noticing that Lucille was not present when Pomfrey entered McGonagall turned to the head nurse curiously.

"Good morning Pomfrey, I take it Snow won't be joining us after all this morning?"

Overhearing McGonagall, the others at the table as well as Hagrid turned their gazes to Madam Pomfrey in curiosity.

"I'm afraid not, something quite odd has happened though." She sighed as the morning food appeared before them all as per usual.

"What's happened to the Little Snowflake?" Hagrid worriedly asked.

" 'Little Snowflake'?" Severus curiously asked while raising a brow causing Hagrid to shrug.

"It's my nickname for her." He explained causing everybody to turn back to Pomfrey and McGonagall.

Lowly sighing McGonagall, Sprout, and Pomfrey explained what had happened the night before. Afterward Pomfrey then explained what she had discovered that morning before breakfast and how Lucille had developed a very high fever. Once they were done eating and breakfast was over the Professors agreed to discuss what to do about the situation immediately after dinner that night.
