A week had passed since Lucille's first appearance and nearly all of the students were curious about where she had disappeared since that first encounter. One day curiosity grew during the transfiguration class with a mixture of Gryffindors and Hufflepuffs.
It was close to the end of the lecture, as McGonagall was in the middle of helping Ron to do a spell. Noticing movement in the corner of her peripheral vision, turning she found a certain pair of twins as they attempted to sneak into the room.
"Fred and George Weasly, may I help you two with something?" She suddenly called out surprising the two boys and the others in the room.
"Well you see—-"
"We wanted to ask our professor something—-"
"When we went to they told us—-
"To ask you."
Slightly surprised, McGonagall nodded for them to continue.
"We simply asked where the new girl has been—-"
And why she has not been attending any classes—-"
"As well as not attending any meals."
Sighing while pinching the bridge of her nose McGonagall felt all of the students in the room staring at her wanting answers as well about the new student. Clearing her throat she then began to explain to the students what had happened to Lucille the night she had come to the school.
"If you really must know, after dinner the night she had come Ms. Snow collapsed due to unknown reasons. The very next morning when checked upon she was running an exceedingly high fever, due to her fever she has yet to wake up."
"Has the fever at least gone down some since that morning?" Hermione worriedly asked.
"As far as any of us know, it has."
Sharing a worried glance the students were quickly dismissed from their lecture. Gathering their belongings everybody left the room while conversing about the new information that they were just given.
Later that evening after supper, Albus Dumbledor sat in his office working on paperwork when a house elf suddenly appeared close to his desk. Noticing them holding a loose piece of parchment he happily took it carefully to not startle the creature.
"Whatever is this Mary Gold?" He curiously asked.
Not receiving a response Dumbledor was confused at first before he recalled that this particular elf did not speak. Smiling he motioned for her to leave, once she had he finally read the letter.
Albus,
Come quickly, Ms. Snow is showing signs of awakening. I have already informed McGonagall, Sprout, and Hagrid.
~ Pomfrey
Once he was done reading the letter he quickly stood and made his way to the infirmary, once he had entered he was not surprised to find the three women conversing about what they should do. Hagrid sat on the edge of the bed gently holding the sleeping girl's hand as his other hand softly rubbed the top of it.
"How is the child, my dear."
"She no longer has a fever if that is what you are meaning sir. She actually should be awakening any moment sir." Pomfrey answered while feeling the top of the girl's head.
Suddenly hearing a delighted gasp with movement the four turned to the bed to find Lucille slightly sitting up only to gasp as she was brought into a tight embrace by Hagrid causing her eye to widen in surprise slightly.
"I'm so glad you are finally awake, I was so worried when they said how you had suddenly collapsed and developed a fever the next morning."
Forcing back the urge to sigh Lucille gave Hagrid a reassuring smile as he pulled away.
"Santimolo Unkey, non queria preocup arche de novo." {I'm sorry unkey, I didn't mean to worry you again. -Galacian}
Smiling widely Hagrid brought her into another embrace before quickly releasing her and turning towards the others.
Finally noticing the group of adults Lucille couldn't help but give Hagrid a worried glance before turning her gaze back to the others in the room only for her eye to turn to Dumbledor as he began to speak.
"How are you feeling Ms. Snow?"
"M-much better now sir."
Smiling Dumbledor nodded.
"That is excellent to hear my dear girl, hopefully, we will see tomorrow at breakfast then."
Noticing how he suddenly froze Lucille followed his gaze to a familiar woman glaring straight at him.
"Headmaster, I am sure you are aware that that will only happen on my say-so. I do want the poor girl to stay the evening here so I can determine if she is well enough and if she is still fit enough to attend the lectures or not."
"Of course my dear. Until then don't overdo it, Miss Snow."
Quizzically tilting her head Lucille watched as Dumbledor exited the infirmary. Barely paying attention the girl didn't notice the others in the room speaking until one of the older women suggested that she take a shower before anything else is done. Snapping out of her daze and to the three women, Lucille slightly tilted her head once again.
"Shower?"
Barely hearing the girl, McGonagall turned towards her and nodded.
"Indeed, you've been unconscious for a little over a week now, so you should probably take one."
Watching as Lucille grew slightly wide-eyed at the news that was just given to her McGonagall flicked her wand summoning a pair of sweats, a long-sleeved shirt, and undergarments, as well as a towel. Carefully handing the clothing to the still shocked girl she watched as Pomfrey escorted the young girl to the private showers in the back of the infirmary before she returned a moment later. Looking at each other and then Sprout and Hagrid as the gentle giant waited on the bed for his 'Niece' Pomfrey spoke up catching all of their attention.
"I do believe we should discuss what we are to do with the girl starting tomorrow. That is if she is well enough to attend the classes."
Watching as they all nodded in agreement the group began to discuss what would become of the girl starting the next day.
