Chapter 3: A Second Chance

Several Minutes Later - Hokage Office

Tsunade, who recently got out of a coma, looked at team 7 plus the unfamiliar kunoichi with a raised eyebrow. What the hell happened between them? Naruto held an ice pack on his red cheek, Sakura and the unfamiliar kunoichi shot each other side glares and Kakashi just read his Icha Icha, waiting for orders. She doesn't even want to know what happened between them.

"Kakashi, explain to me who this is and why you brought her here?" Tsunade said, giving Kakashi a serious look.

Kakashi steps up. "This is Sasuke's teammate."

"Ex-teammate." Karin corrected.

"Ex-teammate." Kakashi corrected himself. "Yesterday my group was going to stop Sasuke at the 5 Kage Summit and Sakura's group was assigned to kill Sasuke on Danzo's orders but Sakura had something else in mind." Kakashi looked at Sakura.

Tsunade sees her apprentice put her head down in shame and let Kakashi continue. "As we made it to Samurai Bridge Danzo was killed." Tsunade mentally squealed at Danzo's death. "Sasuke attempted to kill her and would've finished her if Naruto hadn't stepped in and saved her."

Tsunade looked at Naruto and he nodded, confirming that all happened. "I see. But I have a question. Why is she here and not in a prison cell?" She asked in a serious tone.

Karin gulped. She forgot she was the enemy and she's just as guilty as Sasuke. Yet she woke up in Naruto's bed so that's the worst part.

Naruto chuckled. "Well…"

Flashback - Yesterday

"HAHAHAHAHA!" Kiba burst out laughing at Naruto's misfortune.

'Shut up Kiba!' Naruto shouted, trying to get Karin off him. After Karin was healed, she unconsciously held onto Naruto's back with a tight grip. 'Goddamn she's strong! Kakashi-sensei please get her off me!'

'Naruto, you should know not to take a big teddy bear from a sleeping girl. You'll be aight.' Kakashi said. 'Besides, you should feel lucky that you're her teddy bear.' Kakashi gave him an eye smile.

'How youthful that is.' Lee howled. (I can't get into character with Rock Lee.)

'Guess I was wrong about you not having balls.' Sai said.

Sakura's Flashback POV

Sakura on the other hand, was in her own world. She was heartbroken that her own crush tried to kill her. No. That's not her Sasuke-kun. She refused to believe Sasuke would do that to her. Right?

Then she put her eyes on Karin. She didn't know why but she felt a pang of jealousy towards her. Was it because Sasuke left her for Karin? What had they been doing together? Did they… had sex? Was she Sasuke's first time? Questions and more questions popped into Sakura's head.

Then a new thought came to mind. Sakura can see Karin's cheeks turning red. Her grip on Naruto is getting tighter and tighter. Then an image of Naruto and Karin…

Sakura admittedly vomits at the thought of that. Everyone, except Karin, turned their attention to a puking Sakura. 'Sakura-chan, are you okay?' Naruto asked.

'I'm fine.' She said in an annoyed tone. 'Just ready to go home.'

Minutes Later - Konoha

'I'm not dealing with this today.' Said Ibiki. He wasn't in the mood to interrogate another sleeping and squirming girl.

'WHAT!?' Naruto exclaimed.

'Should I ask why?' Kakashi asks, confused. This was the first time Ibiki refused to interrogate someone.

'Once she lets go of him she'll be screaming and squirming like a little girl lost her toy. Bring her in tomorrow.' Said Ibiki.

Kakashi looked at Naruto. 'Looks like she's sleeping with you Naruto.' Kakashi said, enjoying the 'what the fuck' look on Naruto's face.

Kiba burst out laughing again. 'Just your luck Naruto, you're sleeping with a girl tonight. I got condoms if you want some. I won't tell Hinata about this.' Kiba continues to laugh.

'Shut the hell up. And what does Hinata got to do with this?' Said Naruto.

Everyone sighs of how oblivious Naruto can be.

'Just don't do anything perverted.' Sakura said.

'No we won't.' Naruto said.

End of Flashback

"Then why were you two kissing?" Sakura snarled.

"Why do you care?" Karin snarled back. "Not like he's your boyfriend or are you still crushing on that bastard Uchiha?"

'Damn!' Both Tsunade and Kakashi thought in unison.

Naruto just steps back, getting the feeling this is about to be a cat fight.

Sakura seethe. "What gives you that right to call him that!? Sasuke is just going through a phase."

Everyone including Naruto was silent on how Sakura could just take up for Sasuke's wrongdoing.

Before this could go any further, Tsunade stopped their bickering. "Alright alright you two that's enough." She said, starting to get annoyed. "What's your name?" She asked Karin.

"Karin. Uzumaki Karin." She points to Naruto. "Same clan as him." She can feel the shock coming from everyone, mostly Naruto in the office.

"You're an Uzumaki too?" Naruto asked in shock. "Wait? Clan?"

Karin looked at Naruto then back at Tsunade. "He doesn't know?"

"Know what?" Naruto asked.

Tsunade sighed. Regretting to ask this girl's name. "We were going to tell you until you made jonin or Hokage. From what Kakashi told me, you met 'him'." Tsunade looked at Sakura. "Sakura, this is only between us in this office. No one else can't know about it. Understand?"

Sakura nodded. "Yes milady."

Several Minutes of explaining the Uzumaki history cause the author of this fanfic doesn't feel like explaining that shit.

"I'm sorry this was kept a secret from you." Kakashi said to Naruto.

"It's fine, I understand." Naruto said. "Old man was trying to keep me safe."

"And how did you know he was an Uzumaki?" Tsunade asked Karin.

"Orochimaru." She answered.

"Why did I even ask?" Tsunade deadpan. "Back to the serious topic."

Tsunade thinks about what to do with Karin. Now that Naruto know she's an Uzumaki, along with the fact they damn near had sex would cause some complications with the blonde.

"Naruto. Karin. You two stay here. Sakura, you can leave and Kakashi, you wait outside." Tsunade ordered.

"Yes Lady Tsunade." Kakashi said. Both him and Sakura left the office.

"I understand why that harlot stays but why Naruto?" Asked Sakura.

"No clue but I'm pretty sure it's got something to do with him as well." Kakashi said.

With Naruto, Tsunade and Karin

"Why do I stay here as well granny?" Naruto asked, dodging that stack of papers thrown at him.

Tsunade snarled. "I warned you what would happen if you called me that." She sat back down and calmed herself. "But this involves you to since you'll give me a fucking headache if I change my mind." She looked at Karin. "If you can give us information about Sasuke and the remaining Akatsuki, I won't lock you up in jail."

Both Naruto and Karin's eyes widened in shock. "Are you serious?" Karin asked. Hoping she's being sincere.

Tsunade nodded. "I'm serious but here's the catch." She looked at Naruto. "Since you two already got comfortable with each other earlier." She smiled seeing how red their faces got. "You'll live with Naruto and he'll be your parole officer until I say you're free."

"What?" Both Naruto and Karin said in unison.

"It was either him or the anbu." Karin stayed silent. She doesn't hate the blonde, in fact she's beginning to like him. But being watched like a hawk isn't an easy thing to deal with.

Naruto felt the same way. He felt like he just made a bond with Karin and who wants to be supervised by anbu. "Do you agree with the terms Karin-chan?"

"S-Sure." Karin said with a red face. "May I have a request?" She requested.

Tsunade raised an eyebrow. "What is it?"

"I want to stay as a civilian, and not a shinobi." Both Naruto and Tsunade looked at each other then looked at Karin.

"Okay. Sure." Said Tsunade. "Naruto, you may escort her to the interrogation unit."

"Okay." Both Naruto and Karin leave the office and Kakashi enters.

"Are you sure you saw it, Kakashi?" Tsunade asked in a serious tone.

"He was using 'it's' chakra." Kakashi said.

Flashback - Yesterday

Naruto puts his hands over Karin's stomach while Sakura has his hands over his and the healing process begins.

Kakashi looked at the process until a glowing orange caught his eye coming from Naruto's hands.

Flashback Ends

"Does Naruto know?" She asked.

"I doubt it and I doubt it's enough to send Konoha on edge." Kakashi said.

"I see, but to be cautious, that's why I have Naruto to keep an eye on her." She said with a smile.

Kakashi raised an eyebrow. "Is that the only reason why you have Naruto with Karin."

Tsunade chuckled. "What? Can't play matchmaker? Sue me."

Kakashi gave her an eye smile. "They reminded you of Minato-sensei and Kushina?"

"Yes they do." Tsunade said with a sigh.
