"Can I open my eyes yet, Tsukune?" Moka asked.

"Not just yet, Moka," Tsukune answered as he led the young vampire towards the door he was heading towards. He pushed it open with one hand, his other one holding Moka's as he gently led her through it.

"Now?"

Once they were stood in the room on the other side, Tsukune pulled the door shut behind them before resting his hand onto Moka's shoulder.

"Now."

Moka opened her eyes - and they instantly widened with surprise as she let out a gasp upon finding out what was waiting before her.

A table stood before the young couple with a chair at each end. It was covered by a red cloth that artificial petals had been spread out upon. Two plates of steaming hot meat and vegetables sat on top of it. They were joined by some tall candles standing in golden stands. Their flames flickered in the dim light, giving the room a romantic atmosphere.

"Tsukune…" Moka slowly averted her amazed gaze from the scene before her to direct it at the human who had set it up. "You did all this … for me?"

"Of course I did." Tsukune smiled at his vampire girlfriend. "It's our anniversary today. It was on this very date when the two of us first met on our way to Yokai Academy. I'm so very glad I met you, Moka. I have absolutely no regrets about us finding our way into each other's lives."

"Oh, Tsukune!" Moka threw herself at the human she adored so much and embraced him tightly. "Thank you! Thank you so much! You didn't have to do this for me!"

Tsukune hugged Moka in return, running his fingers tenderly through Moka's pink hair. He would gladly do what he had just done for her every day for the rest of his life. There was nothing which gave him more satisfaction than managing to make the girl he loved happy.

The couple held onto each other for a few moments. Then Tsukune pulled away, gently placing the tip of his finger under Moka's chin.

"Well, shall we have our dinner?"

With a soft innocent smile crossing her sweet face, Moka nodded happily.

The couple took their seats at the table. The flames of the dangles flowed brightly, giving just enough light for them to gaze at one another.

"I couldn't have asked for a better way to spend my anniversary," Moka remarked wistfully.

"Neither could I," Tsukune agreed. "I'm having a romantic candlelit dinner opposite the one person I love. What possibly could be better?"

"Oh…" Moka tilted towards her boyfriend, her eyes twinkling at him. "I think we know one thing that will make all this better, Tsukune…"

Tsukune blinked in astonishment . He had a feeling he knew what she was thinking of to make the moment they were sharing even better. Knowing she was right, he leaned across the table towards her, preparing to carry out exactly what would make their anniversary perfect.

"Moka…"

"Tsukune…"

The couple moved towards one another, angling themselves over the table as they carried out their habit of lovingly saying one another's names.

"Moka…"

"Tsukune…"

The gap between the human and the vampire was getting increasingly shorter as their neared their faces together. Only inches between them remained as they looked adoringly at one another, about to carry out what they intended to do to make their little moment perfect.

"Moka…"

"Tsukune…"

With his eyes closing, Tsukune parted his lips as he prepares to kiss Moka…

…before the vampire pressed her own lips against the boy's neck - where she did not hesitate to sink her fangs into his flesh.

"ARRRGGGHHH!"

Tsukune screamed in shock and pain as Moka proceeded to happily drink from the hole she had made in his skin with her teeth.

It was clear that sharing a kiss with her boyfriend wasn't what the vampire had on her mind.

All Moka had thought of that would make their romantic candlelit dinner perfect - was to, as she always did, suck Tsukune's blood.

The end.
