Prompt 4: Bierocks

"Bierocks!"

Blinking rapidly Korra gave Bolin a face. "I'm sorry a what?"

"Bierocks. Let's make some, it'll be fun!"

Korra rolls her eyes at him. "Which is…? Come on, does it look like I'd know what the heck that is? It sounds weird, what is it? Some weird science experiment or something?"

"No! You crazy Korra! It's a bierock. Don't you know? The best pastry sandwich thing ever, come on! You've never heard of it before?"

"And how exactly should I know that? From the south remember?"

"But you traveled up here! How could you not know!"

"Cause I just don't?"

"Ughhhh, how could youuuu!" Bolin whines, "Here I thought we could do something fun for our channel."

"Hey hey hey, it doesn't mean we can't. We still can… if anything we should live stream on twitch on following instructions on how to make some."

"That's… actually sounds fun! Let me do some brainstorming then and we can tackle it later."

"Sure, sounds great."

"Hey guys! Welcome back to another Fire Ferrets Live Stream! We got our usual team, Bolin here!" He says with a wink as he pointed his thumb at himself, "And my mates Korra and Mako!"

Mako gives them a silent wave while Korra rolls her eyes at the dramaticness.

"Today, we're gonna do something a little different. We're gonna make…" he looks over at the two, "drum roll please."

With a sigh, Mako just kills the suspense. "Bierocks, otherwise known as runzas."

"No Mako! You just ruined the surprise!"

Korra snorts at that. "Yeah sure, with the stream name of 'following Chef Geek's ???rock Tutorial' they know what we're making and with that teaser you tweeted, people were guessing left and right."

"You two are such buzzkills you know that…"

"But we're your other brain cells, you can't be without us."

"Hey, that's mean. I do not!"

"Says the one who couldn't figure out how to use the oven last night."

"That's only because—" a few seconds passed and he couldn't come up with an excuse.

"Told ya."

Their playful banter continued for the entire stream and by the end of it, they went viral. Snip bits of their shenanigans, out-of-context clips, however, the most memorable part was Korra's casual gay awakening. Since they were watching a YouTuber's video, Geek in the Kitch specifically, whenever Korra looked up at the screen, she would always comment on how attractive, the host, aka, Asami Sato, was.

Korra would say something like: "Damn, how can someone be so pretty?" or "Wow, her eyes are so pretty…" or "Man, she's so gorgeous!" The point was, after much retweeting, sharing, and posting, netizens went ham on Korra's casual praises. Enough to the point that it even caught Asami's attention.

"Asami, have you seen this yet?" Her friend asked.

"Seen what Opal?"

Opal quickly welcomed herself onto Asami's desk before flashing her phone. "This!"

Asami scrunched her face with a slightly annoyed grumble before blinking at the screen. "And what exactly am I looking at?"

"Your gay crush!"

That only made Asami's face flatten even more. "My what? Since when did I have a gay crush?"

Her friend blinked before looking up to the side. "Whoop phrased that wrong. I meant that she has a gay crush on you."

"Ooookay? And I care why? More like, who is she?"

Opal quickly filters through her phone to find a picture of her. "Her. Korra. From the Fire Ferrets channel! They're a famous trio notorious for many things but mostly their fitness content and humor."

Asami looks at the picture with a neutral face before restating herself. "Like I said, why do I care why?"

Scoffing slightly, Opal deadpanned. "Cause she's hot that's why. She's been blowing up cause she apparently had a 'gay awakening' while watching that tutorial you did for making bierocks."

That makes Asami's eyebrow go up. "Bierocks? That was literally ages ago since I made that video."

"Well, now that video is trending thanks to them! Well mostly Korra, but you know."

"And what do you want me to do about it?"

"I don't know but your viewers what you to do a collab. Didn't you say you wanted to try something new?"

"I did… I just don't know if that's what I wanna do."

"True… well think about it okay? I'm sure they'd be down to do a collab with us if you were to ask."

Asami then glances down at Opal's phone screen before responding mindlessly. "Will do…"

Swinging a bag over her shoulder, Korra was in the middle of a phone call as she headed down into the studio. Her phone was tucked between her cheek and shoulder as she slammed her car door shut.

"Bo… as I said, I'm outside right now! Geez… why are you rushing me so much? You do realize my ass is still freaking wet from rushing to get into my clothes! My hair is legit dripping wet now."

"Oh come on Kor, trust me. You need to get in here ASAP!"

"Urghhhh, spirits, like I said. I. Am. Freaking. Outside." Korra's hand found the door handle and she twisted it, opening the door. "See, I just went through the door—" the moment she looked up, she froze in place. Her mouth parted slightly when she saw the reason why Bolin was being so persistent. More like, she saw who was the cause of her wetness.

"Oh— hey there, it's uh… nice to meet you Korra."

Korra froze in place. "Wha— what is…" she then glances over at the gawking faces of her friends. "What is going on…?"

"Surpriseeee!"

She honestly couldn't believe her eyes. She blinked repeatedly before rubbing her eyes and looking again.

"What is…what are we doing?" She finally asks in a skeptical voice, eyes never leaving the guest.

"You'll never believe Kor! The truth is… Asami here, contacted us about doing a collab and there was no way we were going to say no and we wanted it to be a surprise so tadaaa, surprise we're doing a collab video with Asami Sato making some more bierocks!" He spat out in a mouth full.

Korra stuck out a hand before attempting to voice some words but fell short. Asami finally giggled softly before commenting.

"I've heard a lot about you Korra…"

That comment makes Korra twitch in her spot while blushing slightly. "Uh… hopefully, nothing bad."

Asami smiled and that made Korra gulp. "I wouldn't say just… just… cute. Now, shall we make some bierocks? Hope some that aren't shaped like human body parts are. I'm not a fan of… eggplants per se."

That comment gets the boys to gasp and Korra to short circuit. She blinked rapidly, trying to process Asami's words when the realization hit her. Asami Sato was aware of her shameless confessions and had seen their video and made a comment about not liking eggplants meaning… mean only one thing.

Right?

Smirking slightly, Asami began putting her hair up into a high ponytail. "Now, let's get cooking shall we?"

Korra was utterly shocked. One moment she was rushing to their studio, the next, she was fighting to not make a fool out of herself in front of all her viewers. Let's just say… by the end of this collaboration, netizens were crazy for the bizarre korrasami shipping.
