You are a pretty awesome Turian, so don't let your mom say otherwise. When are you heading to basic? I have a few more years before I can enlist with the Alliance. Mom is on a mission and I'm on Arcturus, staying with a friend of my mom's until she comes back. I'm taking microbiology, engineering, and trigonometry this term. I've been reading some Turian books from the extranet, with the help of my translator. Learning anything new about us humans?

Hey Kalea, Yeah. My mom was way too close for comfort. I can't tell you much, because you know, classified Alliance stuff. But, holy shit I was scared. Getting a comm from my counselor at school, pulling me from class to let me know what was going on, not having heard from my mom in a few days. It was like deja vu when dad died. I know it's a risk, military parents dying in the line of duty, but both parents?! I think I huddled in a corner for two days.

Yeah. She is back on Arcturus for now. I hugged her so tight when I saw her. Cried too. To be honest, I have been kinda clingy with her. She even lets me sleep in her bed at night. She has nightmares sometimes. Wakes me up. When I ask her about them, she says she is seeing someone to help, so that's good. My mom is a tough cookie.

Hey Mare! Long time, no comm. You better believe I got the spot on the Special Response task group. I beat out 5 boys and it was a piece of human cake! I get the official tour tomorrow and get set up with my own work space. Did you ever get enlisted in your Systems Alliance?

Yeah. I enlisted a few weeks ago. I start basic in a week, heading to the Recruit Training Depot in Macapa, Brazil on Earth. I get to spend the next 6 months there training.

Congratulations! … what species? You're mom would freak out if you dated a human! Let me know how it goes! Training is good, busy. Not much time for myself. Talking about N7 training already. I can't believe it, well I guess I can, I'm pretty good at getting things done and my new holographic combat drone prototype is already in the hands of engineers higher up. Pretty badass.
