A/N: Finally have the fifth Chapter up! I apologize for the delay, but I do hope that the time you guys waited was worth it with this chapter as it's the longest one out of all of the ones up so far!
Midtown Magnet High
3:00 PM
Peter was dismissed from class. He and Sakura caught up with Gwen, Harry and MJ. As they did, Peter saw Karin and Liz. He just couldn't help but make eye contact with Liz, who glared back for a split-second.
"Karin, you have anything planned for the rest of the day?" One of the cheerleaders asked her. And that question caused Liz and Peter to continue on with their respective friend groups.
"Yeah, maybe you should come to one of our football games. I got enough for an extra ticket." One of the Midtown players said.
Gwen, Harry and MJ knew where the stare was coming from but didn't say anything about it. Sakura could only raise her eyebrows, not knowing anything about the past relationship of Liz and Peter.
"How about you Pete? Anything interesting today?" Harry asked.
"The usual." Peter said.
"One thing to learn about being with us is that we're not exactly the life of the party." Harry said to Sakura.
"Don't let Harry and Peter scare you. Despite what they say to pretty much try to drive you away, they're pretty cool guys." Gwen said.
"Wish we could talk some more but Gwen and I have a bit of a study date." Harry said, smiling as the two walk away.
"Right. You kids have fun." Peter said. As much as he wishes that was him, jealousy was not something that he was going to allow to consume him and destroy his long-standing friendships.
"I may not be as smart as you three, but I've got some homework to work on. I'll see you later Tiger. Make sure he doesn't get hurt on his way home, will you?" MJ said, with her talking to Sakura on the last part.
"Just because I don't practice martial arts doesn't mean I can't defend myself." Peter said.
Sakura started thinking. And so did Peter.
"Hopefully they're doing better than I am with finding out what's going on. As much as I hate to admit it, they're doing-"
"I've got it!" Sakura said, jumping as she did so, which caught the attention of some of the students that were walking by.
"Got what? Pictures for the Bugle? Because I could definitely use some." Peter said.
"You'll see." She replied.
"I'm…. not exactly sure I want to." Peter said, getting a bad feeling from how excited she was.
4:30 PM
Outside Aunt May's House
"Listen I'm all for trying new things, but this is an exception!" Peter said.
"The first step to finding your potential is stepping outside your comfort zone." Sakura said.
"I'd rather stay in my comfort zone if you don't mind."
"Even if you don't believe in yourself, I believe in you. Besides, I want to see this seventh sense myself." She said, getting into a fighting stance.
"I think that was a bit of an exaggeration on Harry's part."
"I guess we'll find out in the heat of battle. Here I come!" She said before coming at him.
He could feel his spider senses going off, letting him know that she was about to attack. But if he wanted to convince her that he wasn't good, he'd have to ignore it. He allowed himself to get hit by the punch to his face. He fell down to the ground.
"That's not all you've got is it? Stand up!" She said.
"This isn't exactly fun if you're not going to do this for real!" She added.
"I'll tell ya what's real. The fact that I can't do martial arts." Peter said.
"You've got something. And I won't give up until I see what it is." She said, back in her fighting stance.
Peter stands up. "She's not gonna get out of my hair until I do something. Okay. Just has to be enough to sell it."
Peter assumes a fighting stance, one that was amateurish. Not too pathetic, but not where it would give away too much.
"Okay." She said, tightening her headband like Ryu does to regain her composure. "Let's see if you can handle this!" She immediately launches herself off the ground and begins to rotate her legs in midair, Peter's spider senses letting him know that her legs were what she was going to attack with. He dodges the attack.
"Not bad." Sakura said.
"Try this!" She said. She starts to perform several low, sweeping, spinning kicks. With how fast she was going, there was no room for him to counter, so he elects to jump over them with ease, landing on his feet.
Sakura goes for the usual midsection kick that she does when perform her Haru Ichiban combination but realizes that Peter wasn't there and looses her footing as she finishes the kick. But she was able to stop herself from falling on her own. She turns and then blinks twice, surprised that he was able to dodge it with such ease.
"Can't sell this if I don't attack." Peter said. He goes to throw a clearly telegraphed punch, which she dodges.
He then throws another. Which she blocks. He then follows it up with a sweep, which her almost catches her with.
"Now I've got ya! Take this!" Sakura says as she throws a kick to his face, which he dodges flawlessly.
"Shouken!" She attempts to perform a series of uppercuts which he was also able to dodge. Sakura looks on while she was in the air, stunned that he was able to dodge them.
"Selling this a little too well." He thought. He then stops. Before he knew it, he was on the ground after being thrown.
"Okay, I think that's enough martial arts for one day." Peter said, still on the ground.
"You did great!" Sakura said. "You sure you haven't taken martial arts somewhere before?" She asked, truly impressed by his display.
"Nope, positive. I guess this nerdy body can do a lot more than I thought it could." Peter said, now standing, a hand on the back of his head.
"If you really put your mind to training, I have a feeling you'd be great." Sakura said.
Peter's stomach grumbles along with Sakura's.
"Speaking of putting our minds to something, what's say we put our minds to some food? How about I buy something this time?" Peter offered.
Sakura accepted, and when she did, he went to tell Aunt May what was happening. He also took the shell phone with him as well and quickly put it in his pocket.
Both were outside of a restaurant at a table, with Sakura choosing a burger while Peter chose a chicken sandwich.
Since they were already at a table, Peter didn't want the entire time they were there to be filled with silence. So he attempted to start a conversation first.
"So how exactly is school in Japan compared to here?" He asked.
"For one, there's a lot more days back home compared to here. School starts in April and ends in March."
"That's… a lot. Almost a whole year. I guess you have more breaks than we do, right?"
"Actually no. I'd say there's a lot less breaks compared to here too."
"What about learning?"
"We do learn some of the things you guys do here. But we're also taught other things outside of just knowledge. We learn manners, clean the classrooms, even the cafeterias. We're all the janitors back home."
"And people like Sally complain about the work we have to do here. She'd scream if she heard about any of this."
"Peter?" A voice said behind them. When he turned it was Harry.
"Harry? Didn't expect to see you here. Where's Gwen?"
"Went back to her place. What about you? Would have thought you would have been at home or at the Bugle."
"Just got my butt handed to me by Sakura. Now I'm here paying for food."
"Ouch. Was it a bet? I won't tell." Harry said, grinning a little in a friendly manner as he grabbed a chair and put down his drink.
"Wasn't my idea at all. It was hers. I told her I wasn't cut out for martial arts." He said, shrugging.
Screaming from a woman was heard, followed by a gunshot. It was a good bit of distance from where they were, but it could still be heard.
"You and Sakura need to get out of here!" Peter said.
"What are you going to do?" Harry asked.
"Call the police. Maybe find Spider-Man and get him to help." Peter said.
"Come on!" Harry said to Sakura.
He waited until the coast was clear and found some place for him to change where no one could notice. He quickly swung to where the gunshot was heard. When he saw the source, his eyes widened in horror. The Atomic Burger!
"Eddie!"
"I told you to just give me the money! I didn't want to have to do that!" A man said with a gun inside a fast food restaurant. His face was covered with a mask, with only his nose and eyes exposed. He was dressed in all black. A woman was on the ground, crying in pain.
"And you still didn't. You could have just worked for money like anyone else!" Eddie said, his hands up in the drive thru window.
"Shut up! In fact, since you want to run your mouth, you're gonna put the money in the bag!" The man with the gun said, his hand with the gun shaking a little. He then gestures for the cashier to move out of the way for Eddie.
"Open it up and put it in!"
He opened the register and looked at the robber with contempt.
"Hurry up or I'll shoot you too!" He said.
"Actually, take your time." A voice said. The robber turned to the source of the voice.
"Spider-Man!"
"I've been in New York for how long now? Why are all the bad guys so surprised when I show up?" Spider-Man said.
"Listen man, I don't want any trouble. Just let me go with the money!" He said, pointing the gun at Eddie.
"You made trouble when you decided to put on that mask and pull out that gun."
"Don't move! If you do I'll shoot him!" He said, the gun still shaking in his hand. He turns towards Eddie. "What are you waitin' for! Put the money in!"
"All right, all right!" Eddie said, putting the money in. The robber then moves out of the restaurant, taking Eddie with him and keeping the gun pointed at him as insurance to make sure he can get away. He kept moving. But once he heard the sirens he pushed off Eddie and quickly ran out of fear, accidentally dropping the gun and some of the money. He realized he dropped it, but he knew he couldn't come back for it or risk getting caught.
10 Minutes Later
The cashier told the police exactly what happened, while the woman was taken in an ambulance. She was shot in her hip.
"Sorry I couldn't arrive sooner. If I did, things might have not gotten as bad as it did." Spider-Man said to Eddie.
"You're good man. He'll get what's coming to him, whether you catch him or the police do. It's only a matter of time." Eddie said.
"He's right. He dropped this on his escape." An officer said, referring to the gun that the robber had that was now in a plastic evidence bag.
"Sooner or later we will catch him." He added.
"Looks like my job here is done." Spider-Man said before swinging off.
As he was swinging, Peter said aloud, "I would have thought he would have still remembered me or made any hint of it. Just what exactly happened to him back at Ravencroft?"
"Regardless, that's one less person I have to worry about spilling who I am if the right villain gets a hold of him."
He gets on the phone and dials Aunt May's number.
"Hello?" Aunt May said when she answered.
"Hey Aunt May!"
"Peter? I heard from Sakura what happened. Are you alright?"
"Yeah, I'm fine. Just gonna be running a little late is all."
"Are you sure you're alright?"
"I'm fine Aunt May. Trust me. I'll call when I'm close to getting back." He said.
"Okay then. Well, I'll have dinner ready by the time you're back."
"Sounds great! Thanks Aunt May. I'm really sorry I couldn't be back to do it myself."
"Oh you're fine. It's no big deal at all."
"I'll find some way to make it up to you, I promise."
"You can make it up to me by coming back home safe."
"I will. Bye Aunt May."
"Bye Peter." They both hung up.
He continues swinging until he eventually reaches the turtles' lair.
5:45 PM
Turtles' Lair
Spider-Man walks in on a sparring session between the four. When they see him, they stop.
"Anything new?" The web-slinger asked, cutting straight to the chase.
Leo nodded. "It's not much to go off of, but it's a start. Karai found a mole in the Foot. He was supplying the Foot Tech Ninjas we went up against when we fought Hun. He was also making some sort of deal with another criminal organization called Shadaloo."
"Turns out, the two were buddies when Shredder was still top dog of the Foot." Raph added.
"We aren't sure how this relates to Stockman yet. But it gives us one more piece of information we didn't have before." Donatello said.
"Karai also told us an Interpol officer named Chun-Li is also investigating the organization." Leonardo said.
"Interpol, that's international." Spider-Man said.
"Yea, which means these guys mean business." Raph said.
"You forgot to add in the part that Hun's free." Casey said, hitting the punching bag, hard.
"What?" Spider-Man asked, not believing what Casey said.
"Unfortunately, he's right. I don't know how he got free, but the second we find his ugly mug again, we're putting him behind bars again." Raph said, putting one fist in the palm of his other hand.
"If ya ask me, if we didn't have Stockman ta worry about, we should be out lookin' for him right now." Casey said, continuing to hit the bag.
"Same as before. If anything big happens, we'll contact you." Leo said.
"Right." Spider-Man said, nodding before leaving.
As Spider-Man was swinging, he couldn't help but think about the robber. How the entire time he was holding the gun, his arm was shaking. Even with it in his hand. The power to take someone's life in an instant, he was still scared. Maybe it was someone down on their luck that needed money. But he still thought that armed robbery wasn't the way to go about it. He also thought about that the woman on the ground could have been Eddie. And he wasn't there to help. He would never be able to look himself in the mirror again if Eddie was killed. He decided to give him a call, but chose to wait until he got home to do it. If he truly did forget that Peter and the web-slinger were one in the same, he'd need an alibi as to how he knew about what happened, using the news as his source. So he instead called Aunt May to let him know he was headed home.
6:05 PM
Aunt May's House
"Hello?" Eddie said after answering.
"What's up Eddie? I heard what happened from the news. You doing alright?" Peter asked.
"Yeah. Didn't get hurt."
"Thank goodness. Sorry I wasn't there. Probably would have been able to do something."
Eddie laughs. "What would that have been exactly?" He said jokingly.
"I don't know, maybe throw something. Yell. Hit them with a little martial arts."
"Martial arts? Never knew you to be in to that kind of stuff bro."
"Actually, I'm not. Midtown's running an exchange program with Japan. My partner happens to know martial arts and decided to show me firsthand her experience today."
"Ouch. Did you at least put up some sort of a fight?"
"If by fight you mean miss all of your attacks, get some lucky dodges and get kicked, thrown and punched around like a moving punching bag then I guess I did."
Eddie laughs a little. "Never change bro."
"What about you? Your job?"
"I wouldn't worry about it much man. They've got us covered." Eddie said, a twinge of uncertainty in his voice, which Peter was able to pick up on easily.
"You don't exactly sound so sure of that."
"They'll pay us. I'm sure of it. I come in to work, every day. On time, when they ask me to. There's no way they'd leave me high and dry. Listen, I'm gonna crash for a bit. I'll talk to you later bro."
"Alright then, later bro." Peter said as they both hang up.
"They wouldn't abandon me." Eddie said, reassuring himself before going to sleep.
8:00 PM
Metro City
Warehouse, Unknown Location
A group of people gathered weapons from a truck. They look and admire them. From their faces, this wasn't anything they ever wielded before in their criminal endeavors.
"Alright. You want more of this stuff, impress Hun enough and he'll keep em comin', and I can promise you they'll be bigger and badder than what you've got in your hands right now. If ya don't. Heh. Well, don't expect another call from him again." A man said, next to two people wielding weapons more advanced than the ones the others had. He was a Caucasian man with brown hair, glasses, and attire more formal than what any of the others in the warehouse was wearing. Business attire to be exact, to match his purpose for being in the warehouse. To conduct business. This was none other than Ruffington. He was a man known all too well in Manhattan, New York by criminal organizations for his business in creating weapons and dealing them to whoever paid him enough. Now, in an effort to distance himself from the "costumed vigilantes" Nobody, and the Turtles, he took his business elsewhere. In this case, he stayed in-state with Metro City.
As for the men that stood by him, they were Purple Dragons sent by Hun to accompany Ruffington to make sure the transaction went through without any problems, supplied with modified EPF weaponry. Modifications made by Ruffington himself.
"The Mad Gear never had anything as powerful as this!" One of them said.
"You're tellin' me. And there's stuff better than this? Can't wait to meet this Hun in person." Another said, sporting long, pink hair that was similar to one of the former infamous leaders of said gang that was now disbanded, Poison. When the Mad Gear Gang was around, she hoped to rise up the ranks and become as big as her. But all of that seemed to have been a distant memory with the gang being disbanded.
Suddenly, someone on a motorcycle arrived in the warehouse. He got off the bike, took off his helmet and revealed his blonde hair, the scratch mark on his face to go along with his hulking size.
"Hun? I didn't expect you to be here." Ruffington said.
Hun's Theme- TMNT 2003 Soundtrack Plays
"I want the kiddies here to know that the Purple Dragons, and myself, mean business." Hun said to Ruffington. He then turns to the rest. He could tell from some of their faces that this wasn't how they pictured Hun to look.
"You all came here because you wanted back in the game. Well, now you're in the big leagues. Show me what you can do, and you'll have a shot at joining my ranks in the Purple Dragons." He said to them. "You get in, you'll be able to use a lot more of these beauties as I'm sure Ruffington explained already." He said, referring to the weapons.
He then gets on his bike again. "I hope to see all of you again as a Purple Dragon." He said, grinning before putting on his helmet and riding off.
"Well, you heard him. What you choose to do, when and whether you get caught is no longer any of my concern. I've already been paid." Ruffington said as he gets in the truck and drives off.
"What's say we give these babies a test drive." One of them said. Two others agreed with him and went where he was going. Everyone else began going their separate ways.
9:00 PM
Turtles' Lair
Leo, Raph, Casey, and Mikey were playing a video game. They each were driving a tank in a war-torn city and were shooting at one another. Leo thought it was a good idea for Casey to play with them for him to take his mind off of Hun. Splinter was off meditating.
As they were playing, the purple-haired fortune-teller began to move. Her voice could be heard by Donatello, who was not too far from where she was, using his laptop.
"Guys! I think she's starting to wake up!" Donnie said, running up to them.
The four turtles gave her some room to wake up and survey her surroundings.
"Where-where am I?" She said.
"It's alright. You're safe. This is our home." Leo said.
"My name is Leonardo. These are my brothers, Donatello, Raphael, and Michelangelo."
"Hi!" Mikey said, waving. Donnie simply raised his hand and Raph gave the peace sign.
"And this is our friend Casey." Leo said.
"How ya doin'?" Casey said.
"How did I get here?"
"One of friends and allies, Spider-Man brought you here when you went unconscious. He recognized us on your tarot cards." Leo said.
Donnie hands her the cards. "We didn't look at any of the ones of people we didn't know. We promise."
"Speaking of Spider-Man, it's probably a good idea ta bring him here." Raph said.
"Right, I'll see if I can get through to him on the Shell Phone." Donnie said.
"The tarot cards!" She said, everything coming back to her now, along with everyone being able to clearly hear her Italian accent.
Aunt May's House
A jingle could be heard from Peter's pocket. A jingle identical to the TMNT 2003 instrumental theme.
"Is that your phone?" Sakura asked as they were studying.
"Uh, yeah! You don't mind if I take this outside do you?" Peter said.
"Of course not!"
He goes to tell Aunt May that he was going outside to talk on the phone to one of his friends. Which she bought. Which was true. He did consider them to be friends along with allies.
"I'm here. What's up?" Peter said.
When Donnie told him that she was awake from the other end of the phone, he said he would be there as soon as he can.
"Now I've just got to find a way to take off as Spider-Man." Peter thought.
9:45 PM
He yawns. "Okay, think I'm gonna pack it in early tonight." He said before telling Sakura and his Aunt May goodnight.
It wasn't long until they went to bed as well. And when they did, he changed and silently opened and closed the window in the living room.
10:20 PM
Turtles' Lair
"Sorry I'm late." Spider-Man said walking in to the main area of the lair.
"Any later and I could have ordered a pizza. Actually, that still sounds like a great idea!" Mikey said.
"It's alright. April needed to hear this too so we needed to wait on her. As well as Karai. She should be here any minute now." Leo said.
Time passed and Karai arrived.
"Pizza?" Mikey offered her as by the time she arrived, the pizza he ordered was delivered.
"No thank you." Karai said, after raising an eyebrow.
"More for me." He said before eating another slice.
"Rose, this is our friend Karai. She was also on one of your cards." Leo said.
Karai formally greets Rose. Rose introduces herself to Karai as well.
"Before you went unconscious, you said something about a great evil. What was it?" Spider-Man said.
"Yes, the great evil. It is a threat that none of you have seen before. That evil is one man. A man known as Bison. He leads an evil organization known as Shadaloo." Rose started.
"So it ain't Stockman. That's one question answered." Raph said.
"Who exactly is Bison and his organization Shadaloo?" Leo asked.
Street Fighter Alpha 3 Soundtrack- Last Duel Plays
"Bison is a man of pure evil. He wields the evil energy known as Psycho Power. I was once his apprentice. The power I wield was one he once wielded as well. Soul Power. The opposite of his Psycho Power. Until his search for power caused him to lose any shred of humanity and compassion he had to embrace the darkness of Psycho Power. He oversees his criminal organization Shadaloo, containing members that share his goals, paid assassins, and even those that are brainwashed to follow his every command. He will stop at nothing to achieve his goals of world domination, even if it means annihilating anyone who stands in his way." Rose said.
Song Stops
"Figures. The only people that old bucket head would be buddies with are ones that think just like him." Raph commented before folding his arms and continue to listen.
"I and many others teamed up to destroy his Psycho Drive and defeat him, seemingly for good. You see, killing M. Bison or destroying his body does nothing. His soul will remain. However, only a body that contains Psycho Power can be possessed. Once he had no body to possess, he was defeated for good. Now, I fear that this is no longer the case."
"So another body is being built for him?" April asked.
"That is a possibility. But I am not sure. There is also a possibility that he is seeking to possess someone else. He has attempted to do so several times. Once with Ryu. And his dolls, brainwashed female soldiers were considered replacements bodies before they were destroyed along with him."
"I don't even wanna think about how that works." Mikey said.
"Ryu. That's who Sakura was talking about." Spider-Man thought.
"Wait, so even if his body gets destroyed, his soul's still there. You sayin' this guy's immortal?" Casey asked.
"In a way, yes. But, as I said before, only a body that is infused with Psycho Power can be inhabited by him. Because there is no one other than Bison himself and those that he controls that uses it, once his body is destroyed, he has nowhere left to go." Rose said. Although unbeknownst to her, she was once a host for him until he was given a place for his soul to inhabit after the drive was destroyed. During her possession, she doesn't remember anything that happened, nor does she have knowledge of ever being possessed.
"It's already known that we're going to have to face him. Do you know when he'll be coming?" Leo said.
"No. In some cases, he will fight himself. In others, he will send someone, or even multiple members of Shadaloo to see that his desires are fulfilled. Beware. His assassins are trained well, and will show no mercy. And although the challenge will be great, you all will not face it alone. Allies, both known and unknown will come to your aid. As will I." Rose said.
"We've dealt with our fair share of guys that kept coming back in the past. The Shredder and Bishop. And we were able to beat the Shredder. We can take 'em." Raph said.
"I will see to it that the Foot is ready for any coming attack." Karai said.
"We'll keep a lookout too." Leo said.
"Same here." Spider-Man said.
Spider-Man and the others begin to part ways.
"Out of all the villains I've faced, this Bison guy sounds like pure evil. Even more so than Norman. Whatever it takes, we'll stop him. There's no telling what he'll do to New York, or the rest of the world if we lose."
As he swings home, he slips open the window and silently changes back to his normal clothes, and goes to sleep for school tomorrow.
Foot Tower
Karai returns back to Foot Tower, greeted by Foot Elite and Chaplin.
"Mistress Karai, you're back! How did it go?"
"Well Chaplin. New information was learned about the threat we are facing. And as such, I am increasing the security of the Foot Tower, and all other Foot Headquarters, effective immediately." Karai said.
"I'll let everyone know right away, Mistress."
"There is no need. I will do so myself." Karai said.
Unknown Location
"She doesn't suspect a thing." Stockman said, observing Karai through the eyes of Chaplin, or a replacement of Chaplin. The real one was held unconscious where Stockman and Otto were, his mind, with all of his memories and personality being instilled in the robot replacement, except it was all under the control of Stockman and Otto.
1:00 AM
Karai was up late, meditating.
She began to have thoughts about her father, and how he aligned with people as evil and insane as he was. If he aligned himself with someone like M. Bison, how many others like him were out there that he aligned himself with?
As she was meditating a dart suddenly flew her way. She moved her head to the side and dodged it.
A ninja jumped out at her with a katana. Except this ninja looked just like her.
She wasn't sure what this was, but she would find out after defeating her.
TMNT 2 Battle Nexus-Slashuur/Karai Boss Theme Plays
But that was easier said than done. She fought in the same style that she does, in the exact same ways, with equal skill.
"Prepare for your defeat!" The second Karai said before charging at her with several quick slices. The original was able to dodge or block them.
The original strikes back with a combination of slices and quick kicks. Two of the kicks hitting their mark, knocking the copy back. The copy quickly throws several shuriken at her after being knocked back. The original is able to block all of them with her sword.
"Heeeya!" The copy said, throwing two kunai at the original while leaping in the air which also fails. She pulls out her other katana and runs at the original Karai, both matching each other, slice for slice until the original Karai's face draws blood, and the copy loses some of her hair.
Both make identical faces and battle cries looking for retribution against the other for the damage they caused to each other. The original karai goes for a slice to the hip, which the copy was able to barely dodge and attempted to counter with an overhead slice. The original ducks it and counters with a blow to the midsection with the hilt of her sword before kicking the copy back. The copy throws out a chain kunai in an attempt to disarm the original. It then becomes a tug-of-war. One that the original loses, causing her to lose both of her swords. She then grabs a battle axe off one of the statue hands near her.
She swings the axe at the copy, the copy being forced to leap back to avoid it. She swings the kunai again and attempts to disarm the original again. This time she fails and loses her chain kunai for it. The copy takes a trident off the wall and attempts to hit the original with a rush of trident strikes. But the original, tired of this battle, destroys the Trident with the axe blade, which catches the copy off guard as seen by her face. Before she knew it, she was punched in the face and was on the ground and flew into into a pillar before she was knocked unconscious.
Song stops
"NO!" Stockman said back at the base.
"There are only two people that I know of that are capable of something such as this: Agent Bishop and Baxter Stockman. And I see no reason for Bishop to pursue me." The original said before calling in guards.
Guards rushed in.
"Mistress Karai." One of the ninjas said.
"Take this imposter in. I will contact the turtles to tell them what has happened here." Karai said, grabbing her katanas.
"If they take it and she contacts the turtles, everything we did will be for nothing! Stop her!" He ordered the Chaplin copy.
It wasn't long until Chaplin walks in.
"Mistress Karai, I heard everything! What happened?" Chaplin said, wearing his usual lab clothing.
"I am fine Chaplin. There was an imposter-" Karai said before she stopped herself. She realized that Chaplin wasn't showing any signs of being tired and was wearing his lab clothing as if it was the middle of the day.
"Seize- AAAAAAAAHH!" Karai said, as was shocked unconscious by Chaplin, who was wearing a launcher on his wrist that shot taser darts. While he was able to hit two of the guards the other two dodged the darts and ran at him. He quickly shot one with a sleeper dart gun. The other knocked him down, but he was able to tase him unconscious before the guard could deliver the final blow. The katana she had in her descended the tower and into one of the lakes at the bottom of the tower, which the copy didn't notice because he was occupied with the guards.
"Karai? Hello? Karai?" Leo said sheepishly. Chaplin stepped on the communicator.
As expected, more guards ran in.
"This one is an imposter! She did this!" Chaplin said, pointing to the original.
The guards run to take her, but Chaplin stops them.
"Karai wants to handle the interrogation herself when she regains consciousness." Chaplin said.
The foot ninjas nod and leave the room.
"Mistress. Mistress wake up!" Chaplin said to the copy.
"Oh." The copy said, regaining consciousness. "Dr. Chaplin?"
"In the flesh!" Chaplin said, smiling a smile that only the original would do.
"It's definitely his thoughts all right." Stockman said, annoyed at the copy Chaplin and how he still showed admiration for the copy Karai. As annoying as he found Chaplin to be, he knew that he needed his intelligence of the Foot and the technology there for their plan to go smoothly. And the added benefit was that he could control him to do whatever he needed him to do unlike the real one.
"Take her back here." Stockman said.
"On the way!" Chaplin said, in his usual positive tone.
"How poetic is it? That the very enemies that caused my downfall in the Foot have either met their demise or do my- I mean our bidding." Stockman said as he and Otto observe the two taking the original Karai back.
"How does it feel Chaplin? You embarrassed me doing our time with the Foot because of your genius. Now your genius serves me!"
"And as for you, Mistress." Stockman continued, saying Mistress in a mocking tone. "You thought you could control and scare me like your father did. Now look who's controlling who. Soon, your entire mind will be nothing more than an instrument for our plan of world domination! And the very freaks you chose to befriend and align yourself with for your 'redemption' will be the ones you help destroy."
"I can't help but feel that this phase of the plan was… personal for you, Dr. Stockman." Otto said, observing Stockman during his monologue.
"Yes. It absolutely was! These two were instrumental in my slow torture and decomposition from that oaf Saki! Oh, if only the turtles didn't kill you. I would have enjoyed putting you through the same torturing punishments that I went through!" Stockman said.
"But, I will show the turtles how grateful I am soon enough." He said.
Turtles' Lair
"Karai! Are you there?" Leo continued, trying to get through. Still no response. It's as if the line wasn't disconnected, but rather killed.
"Leo, could ya be anymore louder?" Raph said sheepishly.
"Raph, this is serious. Karai just contacted us but she's not answering!" Leo said.
"I'm sure she's fine. We'll check it in the morning." Mikey said, trying to cover his head with his pillow.
"Guys! Karai could be in trouble!" Leo said, trying to get their attention.
Leo grunts in frustration.
"Donnie, don't you have something that help me figure out what's going on?" Leo asked.
Donnie gets up. "Seeing as how you're probably not going to let this go, I'll take a look." He said, yawning.
He connects Leo's shell phone to his computer.
"I'm sure it's nothing." Donnie commented as he began tracing the call from the Shell phone to the other communication device. Just in case anything happened where they got separated and picked off like what happened with Splinter when he was captured by Bishop, when Karai destroyed their lair, or when Leo went off by himself before he was defeated by the Elite Guards, he created signal trackers for each of their shell phones. The same signature the shell phones used for tracking could also be temporarily transferred to the last device it communicated with for it to be tracked as well. Whether it be another shell phone, or another communication device. However, the signal on non-shell phone communication devices only lingers for 30 minutes before it disappears.
The signal of Karai's communicator was being tracked. And things were running pretty smoothly.
"I told you you were overreacting, there's nothing-" Donnie said before the tracking was interrupted.
"Hmm…. looks like you weren't overreacting at all. I stand corrected. Usually if a communication or transmission ends, the signal remains and then the entire trace goes away once they've ended. But in this case, there's a partial signal at this point in time. It's as if the signal was interrupted or killed." Donnie said in a concerned voice.
"It's probably a good idea for us to go over there and check things out." Donnie said.
"You read my mind. Come on, let's wake the others up." Leo said.
The four brothers were running across the rooftop at night, with Mikey falling from being sleepy a couple of times.
Raph was running more out of annoyance because he was woken up this early.
Eventually they arrived to Foot Tower.
When they arrived, no one was present other than the guards, scientists and ninjas.
"Have any of you seen Karai? We need to speak with her." Leo said.
"She is not here at the moment. Stating that she has an errand to take care of. I will contact them if you wish." One of the Foot Technicians said.
"If there's some way you can get in touch with them, do it." Leo said.
"But if Karai's communications don't work, how will you-" Donnie started before Chaplin showed up on the screen.
"What is it?" Chaplin asked.
"Karai tried contacting us earlier but something happened to her communicator. Is she with you right now?" Leo said.
"Yeah, she is! Mistress Karai, the turtles want to talk."
"What is it?"
"You tried contacting us earlier but something happened and you were cut off. What happened?" Leo said.
"An intruder entered the Tower. During the battle, I attempted to contact you for assistance but my communicator was destroyed." Karai explained.
"Who was it? Were they from Shadaloo?" Leo asked.
"No. They were not." Karai answered.
"Stockman?" Donnie asked.
"It was not Stockman either."
"Then it musta been Hun."
"What? Hun is free?" Stockman said in surprise. He had to come up with something. They didn't bring the real Karai back yet, and he wasn't sure if they'd buy someone like Hun could get in to the Foot Tower to the point where they would require assistance. And he couldn't say the EPF entered either as he knew Bishop would use everything he could to find Stockman and Otto for lying.
"Tell them you're unsure but you'll find out in the morning." Stockman said.
"I am unsure. But I will find out in the morning." Karai said.
"Okay then. Let us know if you find anything then." Leo said.
Karai nodded before Chaplin ended the transmission.
"Well, that's that." Raph said, stretching.
"I don't know. That just seems unlike her to not want to figure out who tried to infiltrate the tower as soon as possible." Leo said.
"Maybe she's tired. I mean, no one on this side of the world would be up at this hour. We shouldn't be either." Mikey said.
"Maybe. I might be looking into this too much." Leo said before yawning. "I could definitely use the rest myself. Let's head back." He said.
Stockman breathes a sigh of relief. They almost had their cover blown. Once the real is Karai is brought back, he believes things should be back to running smoothly again.
6:00 AM
A man was in an alley, looking around before knocking on a door. A mask covered his face. The door open and he walked in. The lights were already on.
The man looked around.
"Hun? You called and told me to come here. Where are you?" The man said.
Hun suddenly appeared from the shadows alongside three other Purple Dragon members.
"I did what you asked. Now you guys will leave my family alone, right?" The man said.
"Not so fast Mr. Washington." Hun said. He takes the newspaper from one of the Purple Dragons beside him. It was from the Daily Bugle. While the main headline slandered Spider-Man, the part Hun drew attention to was the fact that the police found evidence that was left behind, which was the gun.
He pointed to that section as he did so. "You messed up. Now the cops have evidence. No doubt that Spider-freak will be somewhere around them too looking for you. And if they find you, you could unknowingly lead them back to us. Back to ME!" Hun said, his voice rising in anger pointing at himself as he grabs and crumples the newspaper in anger. He was especially concerned if the turtles caught wind of him being out of jail. If they didn't already. He then picks up Mr. Washington by his jacket.
"I'll try again! Rob somewhere else for your protection money back." He said.
"Forget the protection money!" He said, putting him down. "I've got another job for you to do. And you're gonna take a little trip down to Metro City. Do this right, and you and your family get off scot-free. I forget that you stopped a collection of protection money from one of the stores, you forget that this ever happened, we both forget the other exists, and we never see each other again. Screw up, and I'm gonna have another job for you. Each one where if you get caught, it'll land you more time in jail. And we'll keep doing this until you get it right. And don't even think about goin' to the authorities. Because if you go to anyone, or tell on us if you get caught, we'll make sure that family of yours gets a little visit." Hun said.
"Tonight, we're gonna give Metro City a little greeting, Purple Dragon style. And you're gonna make sure that it goes off without a hitch. The first thing you're gonna do is head to this location by this time. And you better not be late! Or else." He said. "Now get out!" Hun said. Mr. Washington left and the door slammed. He took off the mask before quickly pulling the hood over his head and heading home.

LaGuardia Airport, New York
A plane lands, with several people getting off of it, including Guile.
It didn't take him long for him to get the few things that he brought with him in his suitcase. The only things he really brought were a few sets of clothes and items that were hygiene related. He didn't expect this to be a long trip. This flight here was strictly for business, not for pleasure. He was already a little upset that he's a day behind. After he got his things he started to move and got on the phone to call Chun-Li.
"I'm here. I apologize for the hold up. There was a delay in the flight." Guile said, continuing to walk.
"You're fine. I heard about the flight delay. It seems a good bit of them have been delayed lately so you're not the only one. You haven't missed much losing that day." Chun-Li said.
Suddenly, the line went dead. And Guile knew why. As he was walking, he saw two familiar faces in the distance. Chun-Li. And the woman beside her was the Delta Red Operative Cammy White.
"Though I have a few things that I didn't tell you when I first learned of Shadaloo's return." Chun-Li said when they approached him.
"How about we debrief over breakfast?" Chun-Li said.
A/N: And there's chapter 5! A long chapter, I know. Again, I apologize for taking so long! I thought about splitting this up into two chapters, but I just couldn't find a part good enough for me to split them so I left it as is.
