Early morning, the sun was barely peaking out from over the horizon to greet the world with its warmth. At this time most people were still asleep, tucked in their beds for a few more hours…well, all but one individual anyway.
Izuku was down in the commons room, wearing his gym uniform and tying the laces of his signature red high tops, about to set out on his daily early morning jog around the campus. Before he could leave the dorms though, he felt tiny arms wrap around his leg in a strong grip.
"Papa!"
Surprised, Izuku looked down to find Eri. Despite his surprise, he reached down to pat her on the head, earning a smile. "Eri? Why are you awake at this hour?"
"She wants to help me make breakfast," replied a voice that Izuku knew by heart.
Looking over, Izuku found his music-loving girlfriend making her way over to them. Once she was close enough, Izuku instinctively wrapped an arm around her waist and held her to his chest, to which she wrapped her arms around his shoulders.
"Breakfast?" questioned the greenie.
"Yup. Figured you'd like a nice hearty breakfast for when you get back from your jog," explained Kyouka, a smirk on her face.
"…You didn't need to wake up this early just for me, you know," said Izuku.
Kyouka leaned up to give her man a kiss. "I wanted to. Now go out there and work up an appetite."
He let out a chuckle as Kyouka got out of his grip and headed to the kitchen, Eri following after.
'Kami, how I love her,' thought Izuku as his eyes were locked on the purple-haired woman that captured his heart.
Due to being distracted like a sailor meeting a siren, Izuku wasn't able to leave and had heard the next words to come out of Kyouka's mouth.
"What the hell?"
The spell broken, a confused Izuku made his way over to the refrigerator where an equally confused Kyouka was looking inside. Standing next to her, Izuku saw what caused the outburst.
The refrigerator was completely empty, save for one single apple.
"Where's all the food, Mama?" asked Eri, looking up at Kyouka in curiosity.
"That's what I want to know! H-How can we be out of food?!" demanded the shy rocker, narrowing her eyes at the empty appliance.
Izuku rubbed the back of his head. "The only thing I can think of is that training has been so intense lately that we were too exhausted to keep track of our food supply."
Kyouka let out a groan. "Great, just great. What are we going to do now?"
"Simple. We go grocery shopping," replied Izuku as he grabbed the apple and handed it to Eri, who happily started to eat her favorite food.
Kyouka turned to the greenie with a raised eyebrow as she crossed her arms over her chest. "Us? Go grocery shopping? How do you expect us to do that, Izu-kun? Considering how much we'd need to buy, I doubt the trains would allow us on with everything."
"Who said anything about taking the train?" Izuku questioned back as he pulled out his phone and typed quickly. He then opened a nearby drawer and pulled out a sheet of paper and a pen, writing out a quick note that he then put in the fridge.
"…What are you planning?" questioned the purplette, narrowing her gaze on the greenie.
"You'll see," stated Izuku with that cute smile that made Kyouka blush. He then turned to look at Eri. "Eri, would you like to come grocery shopping with me and Mama?"
"Hai!" squeaked out the child, excitement in her eyes at the thought of going somewhere with Mama and Papa.
"Then let's go!" exclaimed Izuku as he lifted up the giggling little girl into his arms.
"But, Izu-kun, what about your jog?" asked Kyouka as she followed after him.
"I can skip one day. Some things are more important."
With that, the small family left the dorms. Just as the door closed with a click, the resident raven entered the room and headed towards the fridge to grab an apple, only to find nothing.
"What trickery is this?" demanded Tokoyami with a narrowed look. He then spotted the note that Izuku left behind. Picking it up, he read it.
Went grocery shopping, be back ASAP. –Midoriya. P.S. Tokoyami, if you're reading this, I gave Eri the last apple. I hope that was okay.
"…At least it went to a worthy cause," stated the bird-headed boy as he placed the note on the counter.
"But what are we going to do now, Fumikage?" asked Dark Shadow with a slight whine.
"For now, we wait and inform the others should they come down before Midoriya gets back," replied Tokoyami as he made his way over to the sitting area and turned on the TV.
Hopefully Midoriya wasn't too long or else certain classmates might cause trouble.

"So…when were you going to tell me you had a driver's license, Izu-kun?"
"E-Eventually. If it makes you feel any better, you're the only one in our class who knows about this."
That actually did make her feel a little better, being the first to find out about Izuku's driving skills. In a weird way it made her feel special. Currently, they were driving down various streets towards the grocery store, Izuku having asked All Might if he could borrow the retired hero's pick-up truck to do so. All in all, she was impressed with how natural her boyfriend was behind the wheel.
Looking in the rearview mirror, Kyouka couldn't help but smile as she watched Eri, who was strapped into a car seat that Izuku had secretly bought recently, look out the window in wonder as the buildings passed by.
'Maybe we can do this more often, just the three of us,' thought the purplette, her smile widening slightly at the thought of more family time in the future.
The truck soon pulled into the grocery store parking lot. Once Izuku found an empty space, he parked the truck and the small family exited the truck, with Izuku helping Eri out of her car seat. They made their way inside the store, grabbing a shopping cart in the process with Izuku picking up Eri and putting her in the cart seat.
"So aside from the essentials, what exactly do we need to get?" asked Kyouka as she walked side-by-side with Izuku, who pushed the cart.
"There's apples for Tokoyami and Eri, jelly cups for Tsuyu, various ingredients for Satou and Kacchan, grape juice for Aoyama, orange juice for Iida, mochi for Uraraka, and other various items for everyone else," replied Izuku, going over the list in his head.
Kyouka let out a sigh. "It's a good thing this is all going on UA's tab, otherwise we wouldn't have enough money to buy groceries for twenties teenagers."
Izuku could only chuckle as the shy couple made their way around the store, picking up the items they needed.
"Papa, can I have another apple?" asked Eri as she watched Papa put a large bag of apples into the cart.
"Not right now, Eri," replied Izuku, giving her a reassuring pat on the head. "We need to pay for these first or else it would be stealing."
"And stealing is bad," stated the unicorn child, remembering some of the lessons Papa taught her about heroics.
Izuku smiled and nodded. "That's right."
Eri returned the smile with a beaming one of her own while Kyouka watched on, wanting to bring her two cinnamon rolls into a hug because of how adorable they were.
The teens continued with their shopping. At one point, because of how much food they were getting, Izuku had to go get a second shopping cart just so they could carry it all. After they made sure they had everything they came for, they headed towards the checkout. As they got closer though, they ran into a problem.
Someone was trying to rob the place.
Seeing the man holding up the female cashier at gunpoint, Eri let out a whimper. After living with Chisaki and the Yakuza for so long, she knew how dangerous guns could be. Hearing the whimper, Izuku and Kyouka tensed up with only one thought going through their minds.
Protect Eri at all costs.
With no hesitation, Izuku unleashed Blackwhip and the tendrils lashed forward towards the criminal, who didn't have time to react. Letting out a yelp of shock, the criminal was wrapped up and held up in the air. He couldn't even fire his gun as it was completely engulfed in darkness.
The criminal could only watch wide-eyed as some green-haired kid walked towards him with a hard look.
"You're really going to hurt someone over a few lousy yen? Is it really worth it?!" demanded the greenie as Kyouka casually walked passed him and started putting their groceries on the conveyer belt.
"Papa beat the villain!" squeaked out Eri.
"Yes he did, sweetie," replied Kyouka, smiling as she continued her task.
The would be robber started to sweat as his captor's eyes narrowed. It didn't take a genius to know that he was LUCKY right now, because it was clear to him that things could have been MUCH worse if something happened to that little girl that was apparently this green kid's daughter. He really wished that the police or a Pro Hero would get there soon and take him away from here.
It didn't take long for his silent prayers to be answered as the doors slid opened and in walked Kamui Woods and Mt. Lady, both stopping in their tracks when they saw the scene before them.
"Ah! K-Kamui Woods!" exclaimed the cashier, blushing slightly at seeing the No.7 Hero. "This man tried to rob the store, but this young man stepped in and stopped him."
"Please take me away from here," pleaded the criminal with a whimper. "This kid is scary!"
Kamui Woods raised an eyebrow under his mask, while Mt. Lady only looked at the criminal with a blank look. Izuku on the other hand just blinked in confusion before turning to look at Kyouka.
"I'm scary?" he asked, earning a smirk.
"Only to anything that's a threat to Eri," replied the purplette. "Otherwise you're about as scary as a bunny, Izu-kun~"
She couldn't help but giggle at the pout her man gave off at the comparison.
While Kamui Woods used his Quirk to take the criminal off of Izuku's hands, Mt. Lady let out a groan.
"It's way too early for this crap," stated the blonde. She then noticed the small, white-haired child giving her a narrowed look, which she returned. "What's your problem, brat?"
"Mama says you're a bad hero," replied Eri, her cheeks puffed out slightly.
Izuku glanced over at Kyouka, who only had a smirk on her face.
This made Mt. Lady bristle in anger. "Yeah, well your mom is a-mmph, mmph!"
"That's enough, Yuu," said Kamui Woods, giving his friend a disappointed look while he used a branch to cover her mouth. He ignored the glare from the blonde as he turned back to Izuku. "Good job, kid."
"Th-Thank you, sir!" exclaimed Izuku, his eyes lighting a bit at the praise.
The groceries were all soon rang up and checked out, so it was time to head back to the dorms.
"Send the bill to UA," Kyouka had said to the cashier as her and Izuku started pushing their bagged up groceries out the store.
As they left, Mt. Lady scowled. "I can't believe that brat said I was a bad hero. If I ever meet that bitch mom of hers I'm telling her off!"
Kamui Woods just rolled his eyes, but the cashier frowned.
"I doubt you'd be able to get a word in edgewise," started the cashier. "You saw for yourself how that little girl's father captured this robber. Something tells me her mother would also be someone you don't want to mess with."
It took a few seconds for it to sink in before Kamui Woods and Mt. Lady realized who the cashier was talking about.
"Wait, what?"
Back with the shy couple, they had reached the truck and Izuku started loading all of their groceries into the bed while Kyouka strapped Eri into her car seat.
"Did you really have to tell Eri that Mt. Lady was a bad hero?" questioned Izuku with a frown.
"Am I wrong?" she questioned back with a raised eyebrow.
"Well, no, but…"
"Then everything is fine. Besides, Eri needs to learn which heroes she can trust and which ones are like Mt. Lady or Uwabami."
Izuku didn't even try to argue. Deep down, he knew Kyouka was right.
Once all of the groceries were in the truck bed, Izuku pulled a tarp over them and strapped them down to make sure nothing fell out while they drove back to the dorms.

"Man, I can't believe we're out of food!"
"I know! How could we let this happen?!"
Those were the whines of Kaminari and Mina, filling the commons room. About an hour after the shy couple left, more people started waking up and coming down for breakfast, only to be informed by Tokoyami that they had no food in stock.
"At least we'll get more food soon, since Midoriya went out to get groceries," said Shouji.
"B-Besides! It's not like we went without! We were still able to get breakfast thanks to Lunch Rush!" squeaked out Ochaco, drooling a bit as she remembered the delicious meal she had earlier.
"It's a good thing All Might came by earlier to tell us that, gero," added Tsuyu.
Over in the kitchen, Iida was grimacing. "I can't believe this even happened in the first place. As class president it is my responsibility to make sure we always have food in stock!"
"Che, you're damn right, Four Eyes! How the hell am I supposed to cook with nothing?!" demanded Bakugou, breaking the calm.
"But what's your excuse, Baku-bro?" questioned Kirishima, turning to his buddy. "You do most of the cooking around here already, so how come you didn't mention that we were getting low on food?"
Bakugou let out a growl, but didn't dignify the question with an answer. Like hell he'd admit fault!
"It's okay, Iida. I think we're all to blame, what with how hard we've been training and how tired we were as a result," stated Momo, coming to the same conclusion as Izuku did earlier.
It was then that Shouto's phone went off. Pulling it out of his pocket, he found that he got a text message.
"It looks like Midoriya has returned and needs help bringing everything inside," said the half-and-half boy as he made his way towards the door.
A few of the other boys followed after. When they got outside, they found that All Might was out there, but what made them stop in surprise when they saw Midoriya get out of the driver's seat of the familiar pickup truck, while Jirou got out of the passenger's side and went to get Eri out of her car seat.
"Dude, since when could Midoriya drive?" asked Sero, wide-eyed.
As the boys tried to figure out what was going on, Eri spoke up.
"Toshi-jii! We got apples!" squeaked out the child.
The retired hero let out a chuckle with a smile. "You did? Did you get a lot?"
Eri nodded excitedly. "Hai!"
Another chuckle came from All Might as reached down to pat the happy Eri on the head.
Izuku and Kyouka laughed at the scene as well before they took notice of their classmates. The greenie waved them over.
"Hey, guys! We've got the groceries!"
"Never mind that! How are you driving?!" demanded Kaminari as he and the other boys walked over.
"…I have a license?" replied the greenie as if it was obvious.
Bakugou let out a growl and set off a few explosions. "How the hell did you get a license, Deku?!"
"A-All Might taught me how to drive and took me to the driving test!" stuttered out Izuku.
"Really? So cool and manly!" exclaimed Kirishima with a sharp-toothed grin. He then turned to the retired hero. "Do you think you can teach us how to drive, All Might?"
All Might stood up and gave it some thought. "Hm, I could, but at the same time I'm pretty sure your own parents would want to be the ones to teach you and would be upset that the opportunity was taken from them."
At that, Kaminari let out a groan. "He's right. I know my mom well enough to know that she wouldn't be happy if I learned to drive without her."
"Not to sound rude, but maybe we can discuss more of this later. We need to get these groceries put away," stated Shouji as he grabbed many bags from the truck bed before heading back to the dorms.
"Indeed! And Midoriya, you have my word that I will keep track of our food supply from now on!" declared Iida, taking his own share of bags before rushing off.
The rest of the boys grabbed what they could and brought the groceries inside, letting the girls put everything away. While the groceries were being put away, Kyouka noticed the clock and let out a groan.
"Great, we don't have time to have breakfast before classes start," she said, turning to Izuku with a frown.
"There's nothing to worry about, Young Jirou," said All Might, catching the shy couple's attention.
"What do you mean, All Might?" questioned Izuku, tilting his head slightly.
Hagakure spoke up with the answer. "We all already had breakfast thanks to Lunch Rush. He's even willing to make breakfast for you two when you got back!"
"But what about class?" asked Kyouka, furrowing her brow.
"Principal Nezu's going to give you a free pass today since you went out to get the groceries for everyone!" replied Ochaco with a grin.
"Which means Aizawa-sensei can't get on your backs for being late!" added Mina with a giggle.
Well this was good news, wasn't it? Izuku and Kyouka felt relief now that they knew they could still have breakfast without getting in trouble with Aizawa-sensei.
"Cool. Hey, Yaomomo? Can you watch over Eri while Izuku and I go change into our uniforms?"
"Of course, Kyouka," replied Momo with a giggle as she scooped up Eri, who had already been given an apple by Tokoyami.
Not wasting time, the shy couple quickly headed to their respective rooms to change into their school uniforms. Once changed, they headed back down to the commons room to grab Eri and head to the cafeteria while everyone else headed to class.
When they arrived, they immediately went to the service counter and placed their orders so Lunch Rush could make their meals. With breakfast in hand, they went and sat at one of the nearby tables to start eating.
"We should do this again some time," said Kyouka, taking a bite of her food.
"What? Grocery shopping?" asked Izuku, turning to look at her.
Kyouka just rolled her eyes and gave him a smirk. "No, you dork. I meant having breakfast together. Just you, Eri, and me. That was why I really woke up early this morning, I was hoping to have breakfast with just the three of us."
Izuku let out a small laugh as he reached over and patted Eri on the head. "Yeah, as much as I enjoy our friends' company, sometimes I like it when it's just the three of us, too."
The purplette's smirk became a smile as she leaned over towards her greenie, who met her halfway to complete the kiss. Eri, who sat between them, watched on, eyes wide and sparkling as she felt Mama and Papa's love for each other.
The small family then continued with their meal, Izuku and Kyouka making small talk, while Eri would occasionally raise her fork towards Mama or Papa to give them food, much to their amusement.
What started off as a chore, with having to go grocery shopping, ended up being a nice family bonding moment.
FIN
-:-
I don't know, the thought of Izuku, Kyouka, and Eri going grocery shopping like an actual family was amusing, especially since it would mean Izuku would drive them to the store and Eri would be in her own little car seat because she's so small.
