I hope you guys liked the last chapter, because this chapter will show how Sonic is gonna go through the pregnancy in each stage or month. We'll have to see what type of reaction his team will show once they realize he's gonna keep the baby. Hope you all like it!
He was the first one to arrive at Tails' home. Well, second one is Tails lives here and is already at his place. The others soon arrived after Sonic, and they all sat down on the couch. Sonic could feel eyes on him, knowing they wanted to know how he's feeling. He hopes they'll accept his decision once he tells them he's keeping the baby.
Fidgeting with his brown scarf, he let out a huge breath and looked at everyone. "Guys, I'm gonna-
"Let me say something first!" Amy shot up from her seat. "Sonic, what's growing inside of you is a living, breathing hedgehog who will transform into a baby. Basically, a gift from the heavens."
Tails brought out a book, opened it, and flipped to a page. "According to this book, you are at the first trimester in which the embryo has eyes and a face. It's also the size of a bean."
"I want the kid to call me Uncle Knuckles, the most awesomest uncle in the world," Knuckles happily sighed. "I won't mind if you named your kid after me."
"The baby must be kept safe from those government agents," Sticks gave Sonic a serious look. "I'll stay by the baby's side at all times and teach the little bugger everything they must know on avoiding the robot apocalypse from happening."
"I'll help you raise the little angel!"
"I can give you books on what the baby would look like for each stage."
"Knuckles Junior has a good ring to it."
"I have a special medallion that can ward off evil spirits who dare try to possess you both!"
"Guys, cool it!" Sonic placed his hands up to silence them. "I already decided to keep my baby!"
"Really!?" Amy squealed in delight.
"Yes. I thought it through, and I want to give my kid life," he rubbed his belly. "The baby has both my blood and its father's. He or she is the last connection I have with him."
"Him?" Tails questioned. "Y-You mean you-
"Slept with a male? Yeah, it's a long story and I don't like to talk about it."
"It's okay, really. As long as you're happy and you both consented, then I'm happy for you."
"Thanks, Tails."
Knuckles raised his hand. "Can we please name him Knuckles Junior? Pretty please!?"
Sticks placed her finger on her chin in a thinking pose. "If the kid's a girl, she must be given a strong and powerful name."
Amy sighs and shook her head at them. "Guys, it's too early to tell if Sonic will have a boy or a girl. We must wait until he starts showing." She folded her arms over her chest. "We also gotta make sure both he and the baby are safe and healthy. From now on, no more rough-housing or battling any villains."
"What!? Come on! That's not fair!" Sonic pouted. "I'll be careful!"
"Too risky! Any hit to your belly can result in a miscarriage!" Amy frowned and wagged her finger at him. "So starting today, you're under house arrest until the baby is born!"
Tails agreed. "She's right. We also need to get you a doctor who can give you some check-ups to make sure you and the baby are healthy. Amy and I will look up to see if there's any female doctor we can trust who can keep your pregnancy a secret from the village."
"Along with helping you with the delivery since we don't know how the baby will come out," Amy added.
Sonic grimaced. "I'm not gonna ask how."
"Oh! I think-
"Quiet, Knuckles!"
2 months
"Oh man! This is great!" Sonic moaned as he munched on his food.
"Chili dogs and ice cream?" Sticks stuck her tongue out in disgust. "There's no way anyone can eat it!"
"This is amazing!" Knuckles groaned in delight, eating the same meal as Sonic.
3 months
Moaning sounds were heard from the bathroom, as Sonic continued to vomit in the toilet. "This is the worst!"
Amy rubbed his back. "At 3 months, you'll experience nausea and vomiting. Its normal during pregnancy."
"Now I want to sleep!" he groaned.
"Fatigue is also common."
Knuckles opened the door, holding a bowl of ice cream with burgers and whipped cream. "Who wants to try burger flavored ice cream?"
Sonic vomited again in the toilet.
6 months
"It seems like your little one is developing well," Dr. Ginger, a female white hare, said as she did an ultrasound on Sonic's belly.
Sonic, who is laying on his new bed his friends got him since he can't sleep on the hammock, looked at the monitor. "Is my baby okay?"
"I see 10 fingers, 10 toes, a strong heartbeat, and positioned at the right spot," she smiled at him. "Would you like to know the baby's gender?"
Sonic nodded. "I really do."
She scanned his stomach with the device, looking at the monitor for a minute. "I can tell you'll be having a handsome little boy."
8 months
Sonic rubbed his huge belly, sitting on the couch as he saw his friends decorating the nursery in his shack. "You sure you don't need any help?"
"Not at all. We got this!" Tails gave him a thumbs up, and moved the bassinet closer to the bed.
"I made sure to buy a bunch of cute clothes for the little one," Amy got them out from her shopping bags, squealing in delight as she hung them. "He's gonna look so adorable in them!"
"Once he's here, I'm gonna take him to the field of baby ducks," Knuckles giggled in delight as he squeezed a rubber duck that squeaked.
"How about no since we know that place is dangerous," Sonic replied, glancing over at Sticks. "Are you holding up well, Sticks?"
"Sure am!" Sticks carefully placed the empty bottles and other baby stuff on the counter. "I got more stuff at my place if you need any."
"I made sure everything here is safe and childproof," Tails added.
"I packed enough diapers and essentials, including extra blankets," Amy replied.
"I was able to get the baby mobile thing working!" Knuckles grinned in triumph.
"The food is safe with no hint of mind control or radiation!" Sticks gave him a thumbs up.
Sonic looked around, realizing how different his shack is. Luckily, they made sure his valuables are locked and stored in good condition. He can't use the hammock in fear of falling and hurting the baby, so he got himself a bed where he can sleep near the bassinet. There was also a changing station with diapers, baby powder, baby lotion, and other essentials whenever he needs to give his baby a bath. Good thing he has a huge tub for his bathroom.
Amy & Sticks got him baby clothes, toys, blankets, food, and other essentials that are needed for the little one, while Tails & Knuckles helped rearrange the furniture and made sure the whole shack is safe so the baby wouldn't get hurt. They even installed a door, glass windows, and checked his roof to make sure there isn't any leakage.
His gang are the greatest friends Sonic could ask for. No. More than that. They were his family. They got each other's backs no matter what situation they're in, and they never abandon each other. They'll always be together no matter what, and they've gotten closer thanks to the little angel growing in Sonic's tummy.
A tear slipped down his cheek, but he quickly wiped it away as he fondly gazed at his belly. "I can't wait for you to come out so you can meet the rest of your family."
His response is the baby kicking in his belly. His son is definitely a strong fighter.
9 months
Loud screams escaped from his mouth as he scrunched his eyes shut. His contractions are close, and he knew the baby is coming. Right now, he's lying flat on his bed with a blanket covering him, as Dr. Ginger checked his private regions. Amy & Sticks were with her to help prepare for the delivery, while Tails & Knuckles waited outside to give them privacy.
"I-Is it time yet?" Sonic panted in-between breaths.
"Not yet, sweetheart. You must be fully dilated before you can push," Dr. Ginger explained. "You're doing great. Just keep on taking those deep breaths. Keep yourself calm to lessen the pain."
"It hurts like hell!"
"I know, dear. Labor and delivery can be painful, but it's all worth it in the end once your baby is here."
Another contraction hit him, causing him to tightly squeeze Sticks's hand, who offered to support him. He heard her hiss in pain, but she made no comment since she knew childbirth is painful. Amy had the hot water, towels, blankets, and everything else ready once the baby comes.
"Sonic, you're now fully dilated. I need you to push for me, okay?" Dr. Ginger replied.
"G-Got it!" Sonic gasped, and started to push.
"Keep on pushing. Push as hard as you can."
Sonic clenched his teeth tightly, pushing as much as he can while Sticks cheered for him. It was painful, but he can do this. He endured fighting against Eggman, and so many dangerous situations. Even the dangers in Camelot wasn't too bad.
"I can see the head. Keep on pushing, Sonic!"
"I-It's too hard and painful!"
"You can do this, Sonic! Do this for your baby!"
"Come on, Sonic! You can do this!" Sticks cheered.
"You're almost there! Bring your baby out into this world!" Amy added in her cheer.
Hearing the cheers from them, Sonic nodded and pushed with all his strength, screaming loudly in pain as he felt something slid out of him. As his head hit the pillow, the sound of a baby crying echoed in the house. A tear slid down the corner of his eye, knowing his baby is here.
"Congratulations, Sonic! It's a healthy little boy!" Dr. Ginger held him out for Sonic to see.
Sonic lifted his head up, seeing a small baby hedgehog with the cord attached wailing and covered in fluid. However, he could see his dark quills and small white chest fur. He resembled Lancelot by appearance. As he watched the cord getting cut, his baby getting cleaned up and then wrapped in a blanket, Sonic was assisted to sit up on the bed as Amy gave him his baby.
Wrapped in a yellow blanket, the baby continued to wail as Sonic held him close to his chest, happily crying as he gazed at his newborn. "I'm so glad you're here, my little miracle." He placed a kiss on the baby's forehead, and his cries turned into whimpers as Sonic held him close to his heart. "I love you so much."
Dr. Ginger smiled at the sight, while Amy & Sticks swooned at how adorable his baby is. Soon, Tails & Knuckles were able to come inside, and were happy to see both Sonic and the baby doing well. But when the gang saw what the baby looked like, they were stunned for a minute, but hid it so Sonic wouldn't notice.
"Do you have a name for your little one, Sonic?" Dr. Ginger asked as she got the birth certificate out.
"I do," Sonic looked down at his little bundle of joy snuggling against his chest. "Shion. Shion Lancelot Hedgehog."
"A wonderful name you chose for him," she wrote it down on the birth certificate.
A small coo escaped from Shion, as he slightly opened his eyes. Green orbs stared back at Sonic's emerald eyes, smiling that his son inherited something from him. Placing another kiss on his forehead, Sonic hummed a small tune while gently rocking him back and forth, as Shion closed his eyes and fell asleep.
Shion's soft snores were music to Sonic's ears, as he held his little angel in his arms wrapped in his yellow blanket. It's been a few days since Shion was born, and being a parent is definitely hard. He had a sleep schedule made to know when Shion will wake up to be fed, changed, or all of the above. He couldn't move around nor do anything strenuous so he wouldn't bleed.
Luckily, his friends are here to help him. They took turns in caring for Shion while Sonic rested and recovered. Though what's surprising is Sonic is able to produce milk, so he can easily breastfeed his baby and not give him formula all the time. He's not sure how it's possible, but will have to get use to it since he deals with crazy experiences almost every day in his life.
Now, he's at Amy's house with the rest of the gang, who are taking turns gushing or cooing at Shion. Though Sonic can tell they have questions when they saw Shion's appearance, and he had to make sure they don't get the wrong idea.
"Guys, I know Shion resembles a certain someone we know, but he isn't the father. His father is Sir Lancelot, knight of the round table."
Tails looked back and forth between Sonic and Shion. "T-Then Lancelot bears a resemblance to Shadow?"
"Surprisingly, yeah. Luckily, their personalities are different. Lancelot is one of the good guys, and so much nicer than Shadow. He's someone I can trust."
"Now I wish I could meet that nice Shadow. Maybe he can tell me more about the strong knight who looks like me," Knuckles pondered.
"I don't like Shadow, but if the knight you met is nicer than him, then I don't mind at all," Sticks added. "Plus, the little tyke is a good listener."
Amy smiled sadly. "As long as both Sonic and Shion are happy, then we'll fully support them no matter what." Her face changed to a determined expression. "We'll also make sure Eggman nor Shadow will ever know about Shion."
"Agreed. I don't trust Eggman, and I don't want to see what type of reaction Shadow will show if he sees Shion and gets the wrong idea," Sonic frowned, holding his baby close to his heart. "Once I'm fully recovered, I'll train more so I can be fast and strong enough to protect him from our enemies."
"And we'll be there to help!" Tails replied.
"Us too!" the others said.
Sonic smiled, glad his friends are there on his side. He gazed at Shion's cute, sleepy face, wishing Lancelot was here to see how adorable their baby is. He bet Caliburn and the others would be stunned to hear Sonic was pregnant, and would possibly fight over who gets to hold baby Shion. In the end, the winner is always the parents.
His eyes shot open as he scanned his surroundings, realizing he's still in his hideout. The cave where he resided in is still the same, painting and drawings carved on the walls created by the Ancients. However, he didn't dwell on its history as he picked up the energy again. He recognized this type of power, since he too can wield it.
Someone or something has Chaos energy, and its strong like Shadow's. If it's a person or an object who wields it, then Shadow must know how it's possible. He, the ultimate lifeform, should be the only one to wield its power. If it's an object that wields it, then he'll find it and prevent anyone from taking it. If it's a person, then it better be a worthy foe who can keep up with Shadow.
Here is another cliffhanger! Now that the baby is born, Team Sonic will have to make sure no one knows about Shion. Though we'll have to see what will happen next chapter. Review and comment!
