Everyone stood in awe at the fight that was just displayed and were surprised that a blind kid beat those boys.
'well, it seems Micheru will be an interesting addition to the ninja world after all.' Iruka thought proudly. then the bell rang for everyone to come inside.
It's been two years since Micheru joined the academy and he was just arriving to his seat when Iruka stepped in.
"alright everyone, today is the day you will all be assigned your squads for the remainder of your lives until you become jounin." Iruka said and everyone cheered. he then proceeded to list off the names and which squad number they were assigned as well as their jounin instructor.
"Team 10 will consist of Ino Yamanaka, Shikamaru Nara, and Micheru Adamsu." Iruka said after he listed off teams 1-9.
"WHAT?! I have to be on a Squad with Lazy boy and Blind Blunder?!!" Ino screamed.
"Calm down would you? you are such a drag." Shikamaru said in boredom.
'oh, why did she have to call me that?' Micheru thought. he had begun to really like the girl over the time he spent at the academy but she was too focused on Sasuke to notice him.
"OH fine!" Ino called out and slammed into her seat.
"this is going to be a long day" Iruka said to himself,"your jounin instructor will be Asuma Sarutobi." at this a jounin with a cigarette in his mouth stepped in and said," Team 10 with me. come to the training grounds as soon as possible." then he disappeared in a puff of smoke. the team decided to get this over with so they got up and began to walk to the grounds.
"Alright now that you're all here why don't we start out with telling all of us a little about ourselves. Ill go first. My name is Asuma Sarutobi, I like polishing my Knives, Poker, and on occasion a few smokes. my dislikes are putting people in danger when I can avoid it, smart asses, and people who treat others as weak." at this he looked at Micheru," my dream is to hopefully get my team to their top abilities as ninja. now how about you Micheru."
"My name is Micheru Adamsu. my likes are helping others when they cant help themselves, training to be a ninja, barbeque ribs, and.." he stopped to what seemed like looking at Ino and blush,"my dislikes are the corrupt, people who are guilty, unless they are truly innocent, and mistreated people. my dream is to prove to people that even though I'm blind I can still be a ninja." Micheru finished.
"alright you Blondie." Asuma said.
"I'm Ino Yamanaka. My likes are.." at this she giggled," flowers and training. my dislikes are Lazy people," she glared at Shikamaru," and people who are rude to others including girls. my dream is to one day.." she giggled again," and take over my parents flower shop." she finished.
"Okay now you." Asuma said to Shikamaru.
"I'm Shikamaru Nara, my likes are sleeping, watching the clouds and shogi, my dislikes are troublesome people, and having to work when I can avoid it. my dream is to...you know I never really thought about it." Shikamaru finished.
"Great. now lets get on to your test." Asuma said standing up.
"test? what Test?" Ino asked.
"your test to see if your are ready to be on a squad." Asuma answered pulling out a bell on a string. " your job is to get this bell from me." he said.
"aw this will be easy." Ino said.
"but come at me with killing intent." he finished.
"oh.." she said realizing the catch.
"now when I say you may begin. and...now!" Asuma said and both Shikamaru and Ino went in different directions leaving Asuma and Micheru alone.
'there has to be something more to this.." Micheru thought.
"well are you going to stand there or do I have to make you move?" Asuma said.
"don't worry sensei I'll move." Micheru said and pressed a button on his cane making the lower half retract having the rest make a billy club. he then took another one out of his pouch.
"interesting weapon." Asuma said taking out his Knives.
"same to you." Micheru said. It was then Asuma moved in for the attack making Micheru go on the defensive. Asuma attacked Micheru with multiple slashes with his bladed Knuckles and was falling right into Micheru's trap.
'c'mon just a little farther..' he thought and when he jumped back he smirked.
"what are you smirking about?" Asuma asked.
"look down if you can." Micheru said proudly.
"what?" Asuma asked and tried to look down but found out he couldn't. it was then that they heard Shikamaru say,"Capture complete." and he stepped out of the bushes making Asuma copy his movements. Apparently Shikamaru captured Asuma with his Shadow possession jutsu.
"I'll take these." Came Ino's voice from behind Asuma and she took the bells.
"well done kid's. very well done. Okay Shikamaru you can let me go now." Asuma said and Shikamaru did as was told.
"alright since you defeated me with killing intent I believe a reward is in order. I'm taking you all out for lunch." he said which made two of the Genin's cheer in excitement.
"so where are we going Asuma-sensei?" Ino asked.
"Oh no where special, just a barbeque place that I can afford." Asuma said grinning.
"OH BOOYAH! I'M GETTING ME SOME RIBS SUCKAS!" Micheru said excited. everyone looked at him in confusion.
"oh, sorry went a little African American." he said rubbing the back of his head.
"what?" Ino asked.
"I'll explain on the way." he said and the four of them started to head off.
