"No. You can't wear that!" Scully said, giggling as she shook her head.
"Why? What's wrong with it?" Mulder asked, looking down at his tie.
"Mulder, this is a charity dinner at the hospital. You cannot wear a tie with alien Santas on it."
"But the UFO is pulling the sleigh! Did you see it?" He held up the end to show her and she drew in a deep breath, biting back a smile.
"Please, grab a decent tie and put it on. We need to leave in five minutes."
"Party pooper," he said, untying the tie and pouting as he walked past her to the closet.
"Mulder, it's May. Why would you even pick that tie?"
"Christmas can be anytime, Scully. You just have to believe."
"I believe you're wearing on my last nerve," she mumbled as she rolled her eyes.
"I'll change my tie to this boring blue one, but the underwear stays on."
"I'm afraid to ask," she murmured, watching him tie his tie.
"No need, you'll see it soon." He waggled his eyebrows and she laughed, grabbing her shoes and following him out of the bedroom.
"And yes, it is Christmas themed, because I beee-lieve," he sang out as they reached the bottom step and he winked at her.
"Can't wait," she said, slipping on her shoes and grazing his chest as she walked toward the door, his answering growl causing her to grin with satisfaction.
