Coco tilted her head as Grouchy slammed the door to his mushroom. Vanity slung an arm around her shoulders, "Don't feel bad, Coco… He doesn't do people…."

The ten-year-old nodded up at Vanity, who just shook his head at his twin. "I don't know why but he just isn't a people person like me. Anyways wanna come to the field with us we are gonna play soccer."

"Nah, I think I'm gonna stay here maybe read a bit!" Coco beamed.

"Alright, I'll let Smurfette know. Have fun." As Vanity left, Coco walked up to Grouchy's door with her backpack. Knocking, she waited.

"Go. Away." Grouchy grunted at the door.

"It's just me," Coco hummed back.

"I don't give a smurf. Go away!" Grouchy shouted this time.

"I just wanna talk." Coco prodded.

The door swung open, and Grouchy grumbled down at the Ten-year-old. "What."

"Want to hang out with me?" Coco smiled.

"Why would I want to hang out with you." The thirteen-year-old questioned gruffly.

"I'm one of the few that gets angry as quickly as you, and I won't judge you for it." Coco readily replied.

Grouchy blinked, not expecting that answer. In his stupor, Coco slipped under his arm and sat on a chair hooking up her computer to a monitor to produce a TV, "here, this is a good show."

"Don't you… I don't know wanna go play soccer or something?" Grouchy turned, still confused.

"I was never good at sports." Coco shrugged, clicking play.

"...Alright, I guess. But don't expect me to like it!'

"I would never."

After Grouchy slammed the door, Coco rolled her eyes, waiting a few minutes before grabbing her bag and walking over to the mushroom. She knocked four times and waited patiently as the door opened. She smiled as Grouchy let her in and sat on the bed. She took her place on the seat and hooked up her speaker to her phone, "Brought ya a new charger heard your's kicked the bucket."

"Thank's Cc. I just don't get why no one understands. I don't like things, yet they keep doing it!' Grouchy huffed.

"People." Coco nodded.

He shook his head, "You get it. I just… I don't know."

Coco smiled at him, "Well, you know. If you're lonely, I could be lonely with you."

He allowed a soft smile, "Yeah… Yeah."

Coco didn't even wait for the door to slam this time, knowing Jokey's joke went too far. She slipped into the mushroom before the door even clicked shut. "Why are things so complicated? I don't like anyone is that so hard to see? Why don't they just get it not everyone needs a partner. Why is it always… Why. Why are they doing it? Why did jokey? Gah." Grouchy huffed as he slammed the chair into the corner. Coco watched as he ranted.

"Maybe love is overrated." She agreed.

Grouchy took a deep breath and sat on the soft chair as Coco sat on the bed. "How are you coping with the breakup?"

Coco shrugged, "It's high school. Don't expect everything to last I'm realistic."

"If you feel broken promise, I won't let ya fall apart." Grouchy sighed in a moment of rare emotion.

"Thank you, Grouchy." Coco tilted her head as she collapsed backward.

"Besides, loves a word I've always hated." Grouchy shrugged.

Coco kicked the door to Grouchy's mushroom in, "I have arrived!"

"Please stop letting storm teach you things," Grouchy muttered from where he sat at his desk.

"I like that lesson. That's my favorite one!" Coco laughed.

"Of course it is. What's up, Cc?" Grouchy finally looked up.

"I have- drum roll, please, you're being very anticlimactic right now. You know I'm a dramatic hoe." Coco crossed her arms. Grouchy sighed and set down his book drumming his hand's on the desk. Coco beamed and continued, "Perfect! Now! I passed my driver's permit!"

"Smurf, yeah, Coco!" Grouchy shook his head fondly.

"Now I can start driving without everyone complaining!"

"Congrats, CC."

"You know the girls are confused, right?" Coco asked from where she sat on her bed, Grouchy Vanity and Smurfette hanging off or on the bed surrounding her.

"Whatever do you mean?" Vanity put down his mirror to tilt his head at Coco.

"Smurfette and I have been practicing magic. You took over my bathroom with skincare. And I keep hanging around and annoying Grouchy without him even blinking. The girls are so confused by my relationship with you all." Coco clarified.

"I think Farmer is trying to mediate that- don't know if it is working." Smurfette giggled on her phone.

"Well, that should be interesting." Coco snickered, resting her feet on Grouchy's lap.

"Your our sister." Grouchy finally spoke up. "Plain and simple."

"I agree with that. Cheers!" Vanity raised his water in the air, and the other three laughed, raising their own glasses and sipping after the cheer was complete.
