Chapter SIX - One of a dozen or more houses in DC alone

Jamie King rolled over and fluttered his eyes open. He looked around and his hand went straight to his head. It was pounding like he had way too much to drink. He slowly realized that he wasn't in the alley way and it was now morning. He bolted right up and looked around the room. He was in a bedroom. It was decorated like a fancy hotel room. There was a dresser with a full mirror by the door and a small seating area to his right with big tall windows on either side of the chairs. He was laying on a king sized bed. He sat there and tried to remember what happened but his head was screaming for relief. He looked to his left and he saw the bathroom. He slowly stood up and headed towards the smaller room. He went straight for the sink and splashed water on his face. He blinked several times to get his eyes adjusted to the light. He looked out of the small window. He tried to lift it up but it was sealed shut. He could tell that he was still in Washington DC. He could see the Washington Monument in the far distance. Whew….that's a relief. At least I am still in town. But where the hell am I? What happened? Jamie's thoughts kept trying to make sense of what was going on when he heard a noise from outside his bedroom door. He rushed out of the bathroom and again checked the other windows and found them to be the same as the bathroom window. He noticed at the top of one of the windows there was a camera and a cord. Probably a trip wire. Whoever is my host knew I would try and escape. It's rigged big time. Jamie thought to himself. He again heard rustling sounds and decided he needed to check it out.

He walked over to the door and slowly opened it. He looked out and saw a living room area. There was a sofa and tv, chairs, bookshelves and even a dining room table over to the left side of the room. He noticed there were two other doors on the right side of the large room. He walked over to the first door and quietly opened it. It was a room much like his. The room was painted a pale blue as opposed to the pale green his room was. He noticed someone laying on the bed and walked over to it.

Jamie gasped when he saw his little sister passed out on the king sized bed. He sat down and brushed the hair off of her face. He quickly scanned her to make sure she wasn't hurt anywhere. He gently shook her and she started to wake. She fluttered her eyes open and stared at Jamie. She sat up and immediately grabbed her head.

"UGH! My head feels like its going to explode! Jamie…is that you?"

"Yeah Princess. It's me. Are you okay?"

Jennifer shook her head and she looked around the room. She found the door to the bathroom and she bolted right up and ran towards the room. Jamie could hear her being sick. He followed her in and started rummaging in the cabinets for a washcloth. He found one and ran it under some cool water. He knelt down next to his sister and started wiping her neck and face. Jennifer sat on the floor with her eyes closed. She took slow deep breaths. She opened her eyes again and looked at him.

"Jamie …what is going on? Where are we?"

Jamie faintly smiled at his partner. "Hey, are you okay? That's the first thing we need to focus on."

Jennifer reached for him and he picked her up. She fell into his arms and he hugged her tightly. "I am okay. The morning sickness seems like it's doubly worse." Jamie chuckled. "I remember when Katlyn had it. It was more like all day sickness. She couldn't eat anything for almost 4 months. It will eventually go away."

Jennifer smiled at her brother. "Well, the doctor did say that since I am having twins that everything would seem like it's worse."

Jamie pulled away from her. His eyes were wide and a smile crept on his face. "Twins? Seriously?"

Jennifer smiled back at him. Her dimples peeked out like they were laughing. "Yeah. I am gonna have twins."

Jamie hugged her again and laughed. "Well, when you do something you certainly go all out. WOW. Does Matty know?"

Jennifer shook her head. "He knows. He is ecstatic." As she thought of her husband she realized again where they were. Her eyes grew wide and she asked "Oh My Gosh! Matthew! He's probably frantic. We have to figure out how to get out of here!"

Jamie nodded. "What do you remember?" I was at a stake out with Dyer and Jacobs and the next thing I remember I was waking up here."

"I was sitting outside our suite drinking coffee enjoying the sunrise. What the hell is going on Jamie? Is this Beamon's other silent partner?"

Jamie made a face at her. "Princess…you aren't supposed to know anything about that. We didn't want you to worry while you were on your honeymoon."

Jennifer snorted "Well that idea has flown out the window. Jamie, I am a spy. Come on. Do you think I couldn't figure it all out? You should know me better than that."

" I know. Well, let's see what else is in this apartment. I do know that we are in DC. The Washington Monument is in the distance. The windows are sealed and monitored. I would bet money that its bugged as well. So we will have to watch what we say." He took her hand and headed towards the living room area again. "Come on Partner…let's scope this place out."

The partners walked out to the living room and checked all of the windows and found a kitchen fully stocked with food. They heard the other door next to the room where Jennifer was open and they watched as Phillip King walked out of the room. He was holding his head and he looked up. His eyes grew wide as he saw his brother and sister standing there staring right back at him. Jennifer flew into his arms and he held her tight. Jamie did the same. The siblings held onto one another as the relief swept over them that they were all okay.

Phillip was the first one to speak. "What the hell is going ok? I can't remember a damn thing!"

Jamie let go of his brother and sister and ran his fingers through his hair. He took a deep breath and said "Phillip…this is Beamon. He has a silent partner that we didn't know about. I can't tell you much but I talked to the bastard a week ago and he told me this wasn't finished."

Jennifer started crying and Phillip held onto her. "Hey, Princess. It's okay. I guess this is what you spies deal with all of the time, right? I know that you are going to do whatever you can to get us out of here. Do you think Stacy and the kids are okay? These assholes wouldn't hurt them…would they?'

Jamie shook his head. "I don't think so. I am sure everyone has figured out by now that we all have been kidnapped. I am sure Francine has them under surveillance. It's gonna be okay, Bro."

Phillip sighed "Dad is probably beside himself. He's going to come looking for us, isn't he?"

Jennifer and Jamie looked at one another and then back at Phillip. They all knew that their father wasn't going to rest until they were safe at home. Jennifer wiped her tears and took a deep breath. She smiled at her brothers and said "Okay. No more tears. We are in a jam and we have to figure out a way to get out of it. So…I suggest we take advantage of this food and get something to eat and between the three of us we can come up with a plan."

Phillip laughed "Is this where you tell us to synchronize our watches? Rendezvous at a certain time?" He beamed at them and started laughing. He shrugged his shoulders and said "What? Isn't that what you spies do?"

Jamie rolled his eyes "Geesh, can you please not be a doofus. Come on…let's get little Momma something to eat. I am starving."

The siblings headed back into the kitchen and started talking about what they remembered and how they could possibly escape.
