Chapter THIRTEEN - How long am I gonna have to stay here?

FLASHBACK to the evening of Jennifer and Matthew's wedding

Harry Hollinger pulled the binoculars up to his face. He could see Jennifer Stetson and her new husband cutting the cake at their wedding. He panned over and saw Lee and Amanda Stetson smiling and laughing. He snorted as he thought of the couple. I should have figured Stetson was involved with Amanda, even back then, when they were in Germany. She sure didn't seem like she was his type. Guess she fooled all of us. He shook his head and went back to watching the family.

He scanned over and saw Jamie King dancing with a very young girl. That's probably his daughter. She may come in handy if this plan doesn't work out. Damn Beamon for getting caught! I could have done so much more, but he had to be stupid and get caught. Now I have to figure out a plan to get him out and then proceed with our current plan. Oh Beamon pisses me off. Damn it. This is not how I wanted to spend my weekend!

Just then a figure came out from the woods and startled Harry. He turned around and had his gun in his hand.

"Jesus! Harry hissed quietly. " Stevens! You almost got a bullet in the head! Don't ever sneak up on me like that again!"

The younger man shrugged. "Sorry, sir. I thought you heard me. I called your name. You seemed like you were deep in thought about something. Um….sir…we have a problem with Mr. Beamon."

Harry whipped his head back in Stevens direction. "What do you mean a problem?"

"Well, it seems as if Mr. Beamon caused a commotion at the prison after Mr. King's visit. He's in solitary until further notice."

Harry stood up. He started pacing. "Damn it! Why can't I ever work with competent people!? It was supposed to be a little distraction…not get himself locked up in the damn hole! Well, this complicates things. We are going to have to do this ourselves. Beamon is now on his own."

Stevens looked at Harry. "Um yes sir. So what does this mean? Does the plan have to change now that Mr. Beamon isn't available?"

Harry sat back down on the cold ground. He brushed his hands off and sighed. "Okay. I think we need to change it a bit. Jennifer Stetson may have gotten a lucky break with Beamon being out of commission for this. You see, Stevens, my revenge is for Lee and Amanda Stetson. They ruined what I had in Germany. I could have walked away with millions. Stetson was always one step ahead of me. I spent years in prison for that fiasco. I wanted Lee to pay for what he cost me. Beamon on the other hand had a different kind of revenge. His was based on jealousy." Harry shook his head and checked his binoculars once again. He watched as the young couple went into the house as the rest of the family continued to dance.

Harry turned back to Stevens. "Okay. I can take care of the King boys. I need you to follow Jennifer and Matthew on their honeymoon. I will let you know once I get the King boys in my possession. It may be a few days. Lay low until I tell you its time. Okay. I don't want her to get hurt. They are going to be my guests. Stetson is who I want and I have to use his children to get to him. Understand?"

Stevens nodded and he took off towards his car. Harry checked the festivities through his binoculars once again and saw that the young couple was getting ready to leave. Jennifer had changed out of her wedding gown and was wearing a cream colored suit. Matthew was in a suit and tie as well. They were saying goodbye to the Stetsons.

Harry stood up and decided to head back to his house. The plan had to change. He knew Stevens would handle Jennifer Stetson. The King boys were gonna be a bit of a challenge but he knew he could grab both of them within minutes. He had someone else who would be willing to get the older King boy. Just had to give it a few days. Let the Stetson family think that everything was okay. The trap would then be set. Harry and Lee Stetson would soon have their standoff.

He looked down at the picturesque home of Lee and Amanda Stetson and sighed. "Never would have pegged you for a family man, Lee. Never thought it was in your nature. I was wrong about a lot of things. Well, we will see one another soon. I have a lot of unfinished business with you." Harry started walking up towards his car, he could hear the family shouting and yelling goodbye to the young couple. Harry opened his car door and looked down again at the Stetson's home. He took a deep breath and said "See you soon old friend. See you soon." He jumped into his car and took off into the night.
