CHAPTER 3 - '' IN THE WOODS''

I was so excited about coming into the universe of ''Invader Zim'' I almost forgot about Loo-nah being exhausted. Right after I put her to sleep, I went to another room and turned on my laptop. I sat down on my chair and started checking websites one by one.

Loo-nah has been awaken by the morning sunlight. To her great surprise, she realized she was not in Solitaire's flat anymore. She was inside an old, wooden cabin, with textile set she's been given for her slumber. - Huh? Where am I? And where is Solitaire? - she said concerned.
- I'm right here. - little princess could hear my voice coming from nearby. She looked around to find a small, mouthless, white teddy bear with rainbow-colored, opal-like eyes, black devilish tail and black bat wings.
- Good morning, Loo-nah. - I greeted her and flew a bit closer.
- Solitaire? Is it you? - she asked with tone full of astonishment.
- Yes, it's me. In person. - I answered, turning somersaults at the same time.
- What happened to you? Why are you looking like this?
- I've turned into a teddy bear.
- You... did this to yourself? - Yep. This is one of my many magical abilities.
- Incredible.
- I know, right!
- What is this place?
- We are back in your dimension. On Earth.
- So... you mean there is another planet Earth, here in my universe?
- Yes, it is. This Earth, however, is much worse than mine.
- Why did you bring us here then?
- The Irken Empire doesn't take any interest in conquering this planet. You'll be safe here.
- How do you know that?
- I...just know. Anyhow, I'm in the process of implementing my plan to get rid of all Irkens once and for all.
- What is this plan?
- You will find out soon enough. Now, let me show you something. Or someone. Or THREE someones - to be specific.
-Huh?
Princess Loo-nah got up and followed me to the other side of the room. She saw three small creatures sleeping in a miniature baby bed.
- They are Vortian toddlers, aren't they? - she asked.
- Yes, they are.
- Where did they come from?
- It's a bit long story. - Why won't you tell me its shorter version?
- Ok. If you insist. You see - there is that Irken who has a secret base on Earth, not very far away from where we are. His name is Zim. He's been sent here with a secret mission to infiltrate and then destroy or enslave all mankind. But... that ''mission'' is a regular sham. - How?
- I know - it is unbelievable, but true. The Almighty Tallest have done that to get rid of Zim once and for all. They thought they'd never see him again, but they were wrong. Zim lives here on Earth, convinced that he is still a real Invader, respected by the Tallest.
- That was... very, very cruel of them.
- Well, that's the way Irkens are - cruel, merciless and xenophobic.
- Xe-xeno-phobic? What does it mean?
- They hate everyone and everything that is not Irken.
- How awful...
- I know, right. Anyhow, Zim has held these three little Vortians in his base as hostages to blackmail their father. He was forced to do everything Zim wanted him to do.
- That's... horrible.
- Yeah, but now they are free and safe, just like you are. Nobody's gonna find us here, in the center of a huge, dark forest.
I should have known that fate and its ironic way of being, will give me something different. I turned around and gasped.
- What's wrong, Solitaire?!
- Someone's outside.
I've turned back into a human and opened the door. I found some of my little treasures, surrounding a part of ground located between my cabin and bunch of pines. By connecting sight of my toys and my very own, I could see what they were seeing. - Huh!? DIB!? - I shouted.
