From what she could recall, Cid would upgrade Noctis' weapons with the right items. At least, in the game he did. Here, he had a strange device in his garage that was meant to feed items into just to upgrade the weapons. She vaguely recognized it as both Cid and Noctis worked together with the machine. Upgrading his Engine Blade, no doubt. Watching this happen, Nimue wondered where she'd seen the device before.

"Here." Noctis' voice snapped her out of her thoughts, and she glanced at him before noting that he was holding a pair of sheathed daggers to her. Blinking slowly, not sure if she was seeing this correctly, she looked up at his face before taking the offered daggers. "Should be better than the ones that broke on an MT yesterday."

"In my defense, my daggers weren't meant to be used as weapons. They were props." She attached the sheaths to the back of her belt before adjusting her position. "You have my thanks, Noctis."

"Don't mention it." So he hadn't been upgrading his Engine Blade? A quick glance at the weapon before he dispersed it was enough to say that he did. Had he gotten those daggers from a fallen MT and given them to her instead of Ignis? Didn't they all need weapon upgrades?

Or was she thinking too hard about all the game mechanics that obviously didn't transfer over to this reality? Following after Noctis, the two of them met up with Ignis, Gladio and Prompto near the Regalia.

"Everything ready?" Ignis asked.

"Yeah. Is it my turn to drive?" Noctis put a hand on his hip. Ignis shook his head.

"No, I believe it's time Nym put her own driving skills to the test." At that, Nimue glanced from Ignis to Noctis... and then back again.

"...Uh, just so you're all aware, my driver's license expired two days ago. If we get pulled over, I'm taking you all with me." Nimue walked over to the driver's side door, opening it and getting in. Adjusting the seat to where she could reach the pedals easily, being much shorter than the others, she was driving in no time. "Next stop, Lestallum! If it doesn't get dark out, that is."
