"If I get spotted, I'm toast." Moving through the shadows was difficult, especially when her shoes were making noise. She couldn't really warp, nor could she really do much else but sneak about. The Regalia was here, and Noctis was busy going to get Ramuh's aid. She would deal with this in the meantime, not make much of a fuss and get the car out while she could. Peeking around a corner, making sure there were no MTs to spot her, Nimue slid around the corner and kept trying to stealth her way to where the Regalia was being held.
Taking out a dagger, she threw it at an MT's head when his back was turned before recalling it to the Armiger. Again with the MT that was starting to make its way towards the body. Nimue winced a little, continuing her trek further in as the rain continued to pour down on her. As she made it towards the Regalia after fifteen minutes of sneaking around, she was amused to see the hood was up because of the rain. Moving towards it, she heard a Magitek Armor start to boot itself up and looked over to see it standing up.
With MTs.
"Clear a path. Get the Regalia out... And then surprise Noct with the return of the Regalia!" Nimue pulled her daggers out of the Armiger, holding them at the ready. Taking a breath, she moved forward quickly and slammed her dagger into the head of one oncoming MT while two more started heading her way. Pulling the dagger out of the MT's head, Nimue made her way towards the two MTs, imbuing the daggers with Blizzard and freezing them over before kicking them, sending the two toppling over and shattering into pieces. As that happened, the rain started to let up and became a soft drizzle.
"I don't have much time. If the rain clears, they'll take the Regalia and there won't be a way for us to travel together anymore!" Relying on Ignis' techniques was all she could do. Imbuing her daggers with Thunder, she used its leg to jump up and stab the cockpit to anchor herself before repeatedly stabbing the metal, feeling the knife slice through like the metal was made of butter. Dispersing her daggers, she fell to the ground and moved out of the way before the armor exploded on her.
More MTs started to arrive, which had her gritting her teeth and pulling out a different weapon from the Armiger. A revolver that Prompto had bought and never used, preferring his first pistol to them all. Opening the chamber, she deposited bullets in before closing it and spinning it. Aiming, Nimue took a breath and steeled herself. Having spent enough time in the company of Prompto, the sound of the gun firing didn't cause her ears to ring like it should've. Though she didn't hit her mark as intended, she was able to disable their weapon arms at least.
"How many more are there..." Nimue pulled out a magic flask from the armiger, feeling the chill of Blizzard in it. "I don't know how I'm getting out of this..."
Allow me. I'll take care of them.
"Are you sure? We're in over our heads here." She felt a little dumb, responding to a voice only she could hear. Tossing the flask, she started to feel... a bit lightheaded.
It'll be over soon, I promise. Until then, let me deal with this.
"...You really took care of them and the generator." Nimue stretched her fingers, glancing at the dead MT bodies and shivering a little. It was a bit too cold for her, since she was still soaked to the bone despite the rain finally letting up. Hearing footsteps, she looked around before finally spotting the source of them. Clad in white, making sure and confident strides towards her, it was Ravus Nox Fleuret.
"It was foolish of you to come alone." He said, brandishing his sword towards her. Nimue took a step back. "I'm certain you know that the price of your foolishness will be costly."
"Could... you lower your sword? Like, in a minute or less? My friend's getting reaaaaallly cranky. He, uh, doesn't like me being threatened." Nimue held her hands up in a show of surrender. "Especially with sharp pointy objects... by a man."
That got Ravus' attention, and he raised a brow. "A bluff will not do you well, foolish little girl."
"I'm not bluffing. Look, I'm just here for the car. Sure, I blew up a generator and killed at least a dozen of your men but can't you let me off the hook, just once? I just want to take the car, drive out of here into the sunset and you'll never see me again! How's that sound?"
His sword met the underside of her chin, which she raised up just slightly. Nimue felt faint, and found herself falling backwards into darkness almost instantly, seemingly just standing there staring past him now. As Ravus prepared to strike, she materialized a shield out of the Armiger and blocked his attack. "She told you to lower yer sword. Now you've got me to deal with. And I'm not going to play nice like she was."
The clash was immediate, with Nimue(?) charging in with a greatsword and swinging it at him and Ravus' sword deflecting the attack. As the two of them split apart, someone started to clap and caught their attention. A smile spread across their face, and they leisurely walked over to the two.
"I'd say that's enough, entertaining as it is." Ardyn said. "A hand, Nimue?"
"Yeah, like I'm gonna take the hand of someone who's the reason the Regalia's in a fucking Imperial base!" Nimue(?) shot back. Ardyn laughed, taking it in stride.
"Oh, I see what's going on. If you're not Nimue, then who are you?" He seemed too at ease, which put Nimue(?) on guard even more. "All I ask for is your name, as I don't think that using the young lady's name is quite... appropriate for your brashness and vulgar behaviour."
Nimue(?) frowned, standing up straight and dismissing the greatsword. "Don't think that should be a concern of yours, Ardyn."
"Oh, there's the teeth!" Another laugh. Ravus looked irritated, but didn't say anything as he stood there while Ardyn talked. "If I were to give you a name... What was that wild looking man's name? Ah, Gladiolus!"
The newly-dubbed(?) Gladiolus' frown deepened, but it didn't seem to bother Ardyn at all. Instead, he waved a hand at Ravus. "I'll let you take the car for now. We'll be seeing each other again, across the sea." With that, Ravus and Ardyn left the base.
Noctis' phone started to go off, and he pulled it out of his pocket. Unlocking it, he held it up to his ear. "Hello?"
"Hey, Noct! I got the Regalia back. Where are you guys right now?"
"How'd you manage that on your own?!" The disbelief in his voice was unmistakable, but Nimue laughed at that. "What's so funny?"
"Ardyn let me go. Said we'd meet again across the sea. That means it's almost time to find a way across to Altissia. Maybe we should head back to Lestallum once I meet up with you guys. Something's telling me that Iris knows where to go next."
"Alright. We're at the Chocobo Post. See you soon, Nym."
"Later, Noct!"
