Chapter 12

You know I'm working by finishing a couple of chapters first and guess what...I accidentally lost chapter 15...horray...

Two weeks later the first grade were at the end of their French lessons and Mrs. Donner had gotten up from her chair as she had been correcting the sheets of her students.

„Now before I let you out to the break, I've got two things for you. First of all, this text you have all solved on your own was spot on. Every one of you did a great job on it. Very well," Said Mrs. Donner making the classmates happy, then Rouven clapped along with Jake playfully. „You really deserved it, so about the second part. I've got some homework for you, which is due Thursday. Your task is to write an essay about someone in your family. Your mother or your father. Your goal is to fill in at least half of the page or above is okay too with information about your parents, for example, I show here one example of one other student from my last 1st grade," Mrs. Donner explained turning the laptop to her for her to open up one of the PDF files on her computer to show a letter written by a previous first grader about its mother. „Here for example we figure out her mother works as a mechanic in a car repair shop at Saint-Denis, meet the kid's father there as well, and such. Your parents sure have an interesting backstory," Commented Mrs. Donner, then Rouven moved his hand up.

„Can I write, that my father was Viperion before?" Questioned Rouven, then he was thrown with a rubber from the other side of the classroom by his friend Elliot.

„Pss!" Shushed Elliot, then Mrs. Donner chuckled at the comment of the boy.

„I think your parents would have to be realistic here, Rouven," Commented Mrs. Donner making Rouven frown.

„But he was!" Complained Rouven crossing his arms making a few classmates chuckle.

„If your dad was Viperion, mine was Cat Noir," Joked Zheng with a laughter, making the French boy roll his eyes.

„Alright, kids enough. It's an easy task. You just have to ask for basic information from your parents and write them down. Perhaps about somebody, we don't hear a lot from, like your father, Ruby," Spoke Mrs. Donner looking at the Swedish-descendant girl. „We know your mother is a skilled journalist, but we know nothing about your dad,"

„Okay, I will ask my dad then," Answered Ruby. „Or do both,"

„It's up to you. If you really would like to make about both parents, you're free to do so,"

„I will do about my mom. She's a veterinary," Announced Debby proud making Duarte nod.

„I'll see, who of my parents has time. Both work together most of the time,"

„Alright kids, come go out and appreciate these 5 minutes break to return prepared for the last hour," Asked Mrs. Donner watching the students get up to leave the classroom, afterward on the outside Elliot moved towards Rouven, which looked at his friend come along and frowned.

„Why did you throw a rubber at me?" Asked Rouven annoyed. „Everyone thinks I'm an idiot now,"

„Didn't your parents say, that we can't talk about their superhero sides?" Questioned Elliot making Rouven nod.

„Yes, but they never use it. What's so bad, if we talk about their past?" Questioned Rouven. „We all know Nathalie's mom used to be a superheroine before too and no one complained about it,"

„Ask your mom and dad, why exactly it should remain a secret. They'll tell it to you again," Said Elliot, then Cody and Nathalie stopped by the two boys.

„What's going on?" Asked Nathalie, then watched Rouven groan and walk away leaving the girl perplexed.

„I asked him if he knew we weren't allowed to talk about the times our parents were superheroes. He doesn't seem to understand, why exactly we shouldn't," Mentioned Elliot making Nathalie nod.

„He will be okay," Mentioned Nathalie making Cody nod.

„Have you two already an idea, who you are going to write about?" Questioned Kodiak. „I might pick my dad,"

„I'm going to make about my dad. I barely did anything about him the last time," Mentioned Nathalie making Elliot nod.

„But your dad likes you, right?"

„Yes, he does. We both are very comfortable with each other," Nathalie commented. „Who are you going to pick?"

„I don't know. Maybe my dad as well," Mentioned Elliot. „He's got at the moment still free time. Until he knows the results of the exams, we will see about what's going to happen afterward,"

„I hope he has passed,"

„Me too. It would be so bad for him if he did fail again," Commented Elliot sad.

„Trust me, he passed the test. I'm 100% sure of that!" Assured the raven-haired to comfort his friend.

„I failed!?" Gasped Adrien getting up from the chair in the middle of the coffee shop looking at his smartphone from where he had gotten his notification. Across him on the table sat Nino, which had in his arms his toddler and one arm placed on the table holding his coffee, which had gotten surprised at Adrien's reaction.

„You're being for real?" Asked Nino watching Adrien sit down again while staring at the display. Nino's child cooed, while her dad watched his best friend sad. „How many points did you miss?" Questioned Nino, then Adrien showed him the smartphone to show him the punctuation, making Nino drop his mouth. „Gees all this because of a point?"

„I know, this is crazy. I've invested so much time into my studies, skipped the number of times I could spend with Elliot, being around my parents, and go out with Kagami. All this I have skipped to be able to pass this exam and it wasn't worth it,"

„Yeah, on your place I would have enraged and smashed everything around me," Mentioned Nino. „You know, what you could use…..a beer,"

„I don't drink beer, since I've become a father," Mentioned Adrien placing his hand behind his neck.

„Dude, you didn't even drink beer before that! Otherwise, you're old enough for it. You're like 30 now or something,"

„We're the same age, I know," Commented Adrien. „I don't really want to drink beer, just because of this,"

„What are you going to do right now about this?" Questioned the Morrocan man making Adrien shrug his shoulders.

„Simply tell I failed, what else can I say? That I passed and then pretend I'm going to medical school?"

„I like that idea, but that only works in the movies," Mentioned Nino. „Like that night classes movie,"

„What movie?" Asked Adrien unsure about, what his friend was talking about.

„We watched that a few years ago at the cinema when we were about to finish the lycée,"

„Oh the one, where the protagonist took a lot of times to pass the exam at the end of the movie?" Asked the blonde making his friend nod, then Chantal giggled as Adrien smiled from remembering the movie, then rolled his eyes at the girl. „Yes, Adrien's memory is at its full capacity. He keeps forgetting important things from the past," Commented Adrien playfully, then tapped Chantal on her nose making her coo and clap. Adrien smiled enamored at his friend's daughter, then looked at Nino. „Man with all this studying I barely have spent any time with my son. Sure, the last two weeks I made it to go out with him a few times, but I felt like it wasn't enough,"

„I know what you mean. Despite that, in my opinion, you're doing a far better job, than your father did years ago when you were with us at Mrs. Bustier,"

„Thanks, that means a lot to me. If I have to be frank with you right now, I feel like I'm not a great dad at all,"

„Come on, you'll get the hang of it with the time passing by. You may mess up one day, but hey screw that, you've got more days in front of you and you'll get over those mistakes. One good thing you're doing is, that you're avoiding going your father's way by correcting the mistakes he has done with you,"

„Thank you, Nino," Spoke Adrien, then took a sip of his cup making Nino smile. Nino's smartphone received a message, then he took it out to see he had received a message from Alya, then opened to see he had received a message from her. Nino chuckled, then pressed on an emoji to send it to his wife and looked at Adrien, which had gotten curious at Nino's message.

„Was it Alya?"

„Yeah, someone's birthday is today and as it's that dude's 50th one, he brought a lot of trash into the work, and now both Alya and River are dressed up as clowns," Nino said showing Adrien the picture of his wife sitting next to a brunette European both covered with a red nose and a rainbow-colored wig.

„Funny," Commented Adrien. „It's quite great, how in the short amount of time Alya started to work at the TV1, she could get quickly along with her idol,"

„Well, she had already done this one presentation about her back in the 12th grade. River even had promised at one point to Alya, if she wanted she could help her get into there, which Alya at the end of the day didn't even need it, cause at that time she was on maternity leave,"

„Maternity leave?" Questioned Adrien calculating the years making Nino chuckle.

„You know people can have more children if they want, dude," Commented Nino, making Adrien facepalm.

„I'm sorry, I had no clue,"

„No worry. I know from Alya that she wanted at least two children or something. No one's lucky enough as Luka's old classmate Rolando, which had twins and one of each gender,"

„Is Rolando that guy, that….."

„Sang on his bachelor party in a Slavic language without even having any knowledge of it? Yeah. Until today I will never know, what people have put in his drink,"

„Well after Luka told me that story I was certain I didn't want a bachelor party,"

Yeah I think from all of us the only ones to have had a bachelor parties were Luka and Nathaniel, besides they happened before this one,"

„Right," Responded Adrien taking a sip from his coffee again. „Have you per coincidence seen Lila yet?"

„You mean after her accident?" Questioned Nino making the blonde nod. „Well, just this one time, when she was walking with Nathaniel out in the park. She looks quite good, besides that it's slightly a little notable her confusion about her not being able to remember me at first glance. Later one I think she has understood, that we're both great buddies,"

„Alright, I had visited her along with Kagami last week and at the moment, she just recognizes me. Kagami for now on is a big question mark,"

„It's hard when your best friend doesn't remember shit about you. Harder is it for Nathalie, who's still a kid and can't treat her own mother as her mother,"

„Correct," Commented Adrien neutral. „Nathaniel as well. Lila meant a lot to him and he can't be comfortable around her without fearing it might not go the right way,"

„It will have a good ending for him. He's just gotta be patient now with her. As he is now. We're also here for him or Nathalie, when needed, right?" Questioned the tan-skinned boy making Adrien nod.

Luka arrived home along with his son, then walked into the kitchen along with the boy, which placed his backpack on the chair and watched his father open the fridge.

„I'm going to make us omelets with sausages. Mommy had seen this morning the sausages were due tomorrow," Commented Luka. „It's the Vienna ones from the can," Luka said looking out of the fridge at his son, which had taken out his empty water bottle and smiled at his father.

„Will it also have bacon on it?" Questioned Rouven watching his father look in the fridge, then shook his head.

„I don't have any bacon here, sadly," Spoke Luka making Rouven nod neutrally. „Don't worry, next week we will buy it and put it together with sausages and melted cheese like that time camping," Promised Luka making Rouven jump.

„Yeah, dad!" Shouted Rouven, then gave his father a hug, which chuckled at his son's deed.

„If you want, empty your backpack in your room. Lunch will take 5 to 10 minutes," Announced Luka, then Rouven ran along the corridor back into his bedroom and dropped the bag on top of the desk he had facing his bed. Rouven removed his file, then removed out a math sheet and a French lessons booklet and placed it on the side, and got back to the door to observe his father in the kitchen mixing up inside a bowl the ingredients for the omelet. Rouven looked at the room of his parents, then he sneaked carefully over the corridor and entered the bedroom of his parents and looked around the bedroom, and noticed the closet of his parents. Rouven furrowed his eyebrows, then opened up the sliding door to look into it, then closed it as he found nothing. Rouven then got down to look under the bed of his parents and encountered the oval-shaped miraculous box making him smile, then he reached his arm into it, trying to press one of the black dots, and managed to open it. Rouven crawled a little under the bed, then took out the necklace-like miraculous, and afterward crawled out to look at it.

"What miraculous is that?" Questioned Rouven looking at the black dog collar, then heard his father's smartphone ring inside of the bedroom shrieking Rouven, who looked at the commode beside the exit his father's smartphone getting charged. In panic, Rouven picked up the smartphone to see his mother was calling making him gasp.

"Hey champ, don't you mind bringing me my smartphone. I left it charging in the bedroom," Mentioned Luka, then Rouven removed the cable and ran into the kitchen to deliver the smartphone to his father, which was on the herd with the mixture he made for the omelet.

"It's mom," Said Rouven handing out the smartphone to his father, which attended it and held it with his shoulder against the ear.

"Hey Marinette, I'm already home with Rouven," Spoke Luka. "No, I'm actually doing an omelet with sausages…..I know, thanks…...so far I know, it's Math and French so far….I'll ask him if he's gonna do them after lunch or in the afternoon. They got Sports in the afternoon. Not even I back in my own school time enjoyed making homework after sports class…... Sure after sports class, I could send him to have a bath and eat something. So at least his mind is relaxed for the homework, oh about that, the other task he has to write about one of us, which is due Thursday. So important for him is to do Math today, the rest we can see later,"

Rouven returned to his bedroom, then shove the dog miraculous into the small pocket of his backpack and closed the zip, then sighed relieved as he missed the possibility of being caught by anyone.

Nathaniel stood inside the warehouse of the comic book store by a shelf, which was split with holders, and beside him, he had a cart, where he had several boxes and large envelopes piled up in three mounts. Nathaniel checked from an envelope the name of the person, who ordered it, then sorted it on the F shelf, then picked up the next box, which afterward he had placed beside the S letter. Nathaniel picked up four more envelopes, then took a look at them at the same time to see the name and shared it on the corresponding shelf.

Across the room at the entrance of the wareroom, a portal opened up, showing Bunnyx enter into the place, then she whistled to earn Nathaniel's attention, which dropped a box on top of his head as he tried to shove it onto the top shelf above his head.

"Good to catch you here, Super Nathan," Spoke Bunnyx watching Nathaniel pick up the box to place it on the cart.

"What happened? What are you doing here?"

"Someone from your timeline somehow has gotten its hands on the dog miraculous and has been stealing almost everything with the help of it. I need to get help. You and Viperion would be a great choice,"

"Sure….I'm just…..well...I can sort this later," Spoke the redhead earning a smile from the heroine. Karaa got out of his jacket to look up at the bunny miraculous holder and waved at her.

"Great to see you again, Karaa," Spoke the pink-haired woman having eye contact with the little creature.

"Pleasuwe is mine," Responded Karaa, then Nathaniel looked up at the bunny heroine.

"What do you think? Do you need to practice a little, before we go into the future?" Questioned Bunnyx making Nathaniel shrug his shoulders.

"I think we're gonna handle it," Spoke Nathaniel making the heroine smile.
