Chapter 15

At the Couffaine household, Luka and Marinette stood inside Rouven's room in front of him, who sat on the side of the bed with his head down.

"This could have been a disaster, Rouven. A miraculous in the wrong hands could have caused more damage, than you could think off," Marinette lectured.

"This is so unusual from you. Why did you want to take one at the school?" Questioned Luka. "Nathalie nor Elliot have ever thought about doing that,"

"No one at the school believed me, that you were Viperion, and laughed at me. I just wanted to show them, that our family was cool" Mentioned Rouven sad, then his parents exchanged looks with each other.

"You don't have to show your friends, that we're cool," Mentioned Marinette. "What matters is what you think of us and if you think we're cool, that's what great is,"

"Your mother is right. Besides that, they can't judge us without getting to know us first. I bet if they did, they would find us cool. And I'm certain of it," Commented Luka making Marinette nod.

"I think every child would love to meet someone's father, who plays in a band," Spoke Marinette making Luka smile, then Rouven stood up and grabbed both of his parent's hands.

"I'm sorry I took the miraculous without asking you," Rouven said while rolling his eyes up at his mother, then moved to Luka. "And I'm sorry you had to go along with Super Nathan and Ryuko to the future to clean my mess. I won't do that ever again,"

"I really hope it stays like that. It was a tough ride for us all to get out of the chaos grandpa Gabriel caused in the past and the rest of the others," Commented Luka making his son nod. "Keep in mind, that we're just telling you this for the best. Understand?"

"Yes dad, I did," Commented Rouven watch his dad lift up his fist, so he could get the son to fist bump him.

"Alright, I think it's time to go on and make the dinner and you, young man will go and take a bath. Daddy or I will pass by later and see if you're doing well," Mentioned Marinette making her son nod and leave his parents back in the bedroom, who watched their son leave.

"I'm surprised how quickly he had found the miraculous box over midday as we were on the phone," Spoke Luka making Marinette nod.

"This means if he can find it, anyone else could find it as well. I know, when we have visits almost nobody steps into our bedroom, or if they do it's to put down their coats or jackets. I need to find time and build something to hide the miraculouses,"

"We can look at that during the middle of the week. Perhaps we can buy something like a box with a lock to put them in it," Suggested Luka making Marinette nod.

"Yeah, we'll see it," Agreed Marinette walking out of the bedroom along with her husband.

Later at night, Adrien and Kagami stood together inside the bathroom brushing their teeth by the lavatory. Adrien rinsed his mouth with water to spit the rest of the dissolved toothpaste and looked at Kagami, which wasn't finished yet.

"Isn't it crazy, that despite the amount of time I invested into learning for all the exams, I still haven't gotten anywhere with it?" Questioned Adrien watching the woman use the filled water cup to rinse her mouth and spit out as well.

"I don't really know, what to say. It might feel harder because the exams are changed up every year a little. They're not gonna make your or the other people's lives easier,"

"Right," Agreed Adrien, then looked down at the ground to see a puppy bite on Adrien's slippers making him grin and get down to pull the boy away gently. "Don't bite my shoes," Warned the blonde, then watched the puppy run off the bathroom earning the attention of Kagami, which laughed at the way the dog was running.

"The way puppies run is the most adorable thing ever," Gushed Kagami making Adrien nod, then followed the small cub, which had encountered in the bedroom the tuxedo cat Shadow, which was licking his paws and stopped as the dog approached him to smell the cat on the face. The cat moved his head away from the puppy, while the puppy wagged his tail excitedly to sniff the cat's face, which let out a short meow and jumped up at the bed of his owners leaving the dog back. The dog got on the board of the bed with its paws and got picked up by Kagami, who sat down on the bed to tickle the puppy under his chin.

Adrien sat beside his wife to look at the puppy, then gave the puppy his finger, so he would bite on it with his small teeth making Adrien smile about it, then sighed.

"Man I can't imagine, I have to repeat all this history with the learning all over again. I was so close to my goal and I didn't make it," Complained Adrien, then Kagami had an idea and leaned the puppy against Adrien's face and it began to lick Adrien on his face making him laugh. "Hey, that's enough, little guy,"

"He's just trying to comfort you,"

"I know…..I think this is a good idea for now," The blonde said lying down on the mattress while holding the puppy, which continued to lick his face. "You know, it's been a long while. I feel like I have missed a lot of moments, I've been so deepened in this I didn't make space for me and Elliot to be spending time together,"

"I know," Admitted Kagami lying down beside her husband. "You were at least able to hang out with him more often, after the exam day,"

Elliot walked along the corridor carrying a carrot-shaped catnip toy, then stepped by the entrance of the bedroom of his parents to hear them talking together.

"Elliot kind of was born a little at the wrong moment. Lately, it was difficult to organize myself to have time for him, while studying….You know before the summer vacation. Now in the future, when I'm able to enroll myself for the repetition,"

"I know, what you mean. You sure can organize your day or week around the books and Elliot equally enough. You don't have to make it fix 24/7. You can have at least an hour or two per week a time, where you don't have to focus on anything,"

"It's worth a try...Man, this is going to be a lame year again," Commented Adrien, making Elliot sink his head down at listening to his dad afterward the house cat Shadow showed up and noticed the catnip toy. Shadow meowed, then hoped against Elliot to catch the toy, shrieking Elliot, which landed on his back shrieking his parents.

"Careful Shadow!" Complained the boy watching the cat leave, afterward, Elliot got up and encountered Kagami, who had gotten up to see, where the noise came from.

"Did you fall?" Questioned Kagami curious making Elliot nod.

"Shadow pushed me down to take his toy from me," Responded Elliot making his mother nod.

"Oh okay. Are you going to bed now?" Questioned Kagami making the boy nod. "Okay, I'll meet you later for a good night kiss,"

"It's okay. I can give it here," Spoke Elliot making Kagami nod, then let her son embrace him and pecked him on the cheek. "Good night,"

"Good night," Said Elliot, then made his way out of the bedroom and Adrien got to Kagami, still holding the puppy in his arms.

"Did Elliot go?" Questioned Adrien making Kagami nod. "I thought he was gonna see me as well?"

"I don't know. I had no idea he was nearby us," Commented Kagami making Adrien shrug. "He just said he had Shadow's toy in his hand and got jumped by him,"

"Okay, I will put the pups to sleep and get myself under the covers as well," Commented Adrien making Kagami nod, thereafter her husband got into the bathroom to lie the puppies down in their prepared bed.

Originally the chapter had around 3000 words. I couldn't recall exactly, what the last scene of this chapter was about, besides it taking place at the school. Fun fact: This is the second time in my life I accidentally lose a fanfic chapter, but this time I was able to remember A LOT of parts from the previous one (Amazing, right?) I'm gonna be more careful this time. I legit don't remember how I lost the chapter, if I had override it by another one or if I forgot to save it as a back-up on USB .
