Santana was released from hospital on the Sunday when the doctors were sure that her concussion symptoms had dramatically subsided, however was advised she wasn't allowed to return to school for at least a week and was to rest.

Quinn hadn't left her side, much to the Latina's protests, as she didn't feel right going to her new home, not knowing when the Latina would return.

It was decided by Mari that Quinn would stay in Santana's room, whilst Santana bunked with Blaine on a camp bed for the foreseeable, as the house only had 3 bedrooms.

To say Quinn was unhappy with the decision was an understatement, she didn't want to force Santana out of her own space and become a burden.

Both Santana and Blaine had reassured Quinn that this was okay and that they wanted Quinn to feel comfortable, for she lived here now, it was her house too.

Maribel picked the girls up from the hospital on Sunday afternoon after Santana was discharged and they made their way home.

Santana instantly gathered what she would be needing from her room and moved her belongings into Blaine's and then helped Quinn get settled into her new room and new house, showing her where everything she may need is located.

Whilst Santana was making room for Quinn in her wardrobe and draws, she realised that Quinn has nothing to put in them.

"Hey, Q?" Santana asks, receiving a 'hmm' in reply, she continued, "When I pick you up from school tomorrow, do you want me to take you home so that you can get some of your stuff? The house should be empty, right?"

Amidst the commotion of the last few days, it had been completely overlooked by Quinn that she actually had no belongings.

"You don't have to do that Tana. I can go around myself later and get some stuff. Even though I don't have Cheerios tomorrow, I have nothing to wear to school."

"Well if you want to go alone, that's fine. But I'm more than happy to take you tomorrow, if you don't mind wearing my clothes to school for a day." A shy smile crosses Quinn's face and the thought of wearing the Latina's clothes makes her heart flutter.

"That would be great Tana, thank you." She replies bashfully.

"No problem, take what you want, okay? There's some pyjamas and stuff in this draw if you want to wear them tonight. I'm going to skip dinner and go straight to bed, I'm really tired."

Quinn mumbles an 'okay' and approaches Santana to give her a hug, the Latina kisses the top of her head and says her good nights before making her way to Blaine's room to sleep.

Quinn makes her way down to the dining room to eat dinner with Mari and Blaine, explaining that Santana wanted to rest.

She soon excuses herself after being adamant on doing the dishes and retires to her new room.

She roots through the draws looking for some pyjamas to wear, however, come across the Latinas underwear draw. She decides to wear a pair of boxers to bed, along with an oversized hoodie she found in the wardrobe.

Quinn crawls into bed and thinks she's never felt as safe at night as she does in this house and surrounded by Santana's scent, with that, she doses off.

Santana is awoken early the next morning by rustling. It's obvious that Blaine is trying to get ready for training quietly, however, Santana is a light sleeper. She rubs her eyes and looks up to Blaine, who has a sheepish smile.

"Sorry I woke you sis."

"No worries, I'll go back to sleep when you've gone. I wanted to talk to you before you go anyway." She states.

"Yeah, okay, what's up?" Blaine replies as he takes a seat on the edge of his bed opposite his sister.

"Can you please keep an eye on Q today? I'm worried about what people will say to her if they find out about her parents? She doesn't need that shit right now, you know?"

"I've been thinking about it too, don't worry, I'll handle anyone that approaches her. I've just been thinking about what Finn might say, but Puck's been pretty cool about everything recently so I'm sure I can get him to help shut it down." He says knowingly.

Santana nods, mumbles a 'thanks' and fist bumps Blaine. He lets her know that Mami has already left for work and will be back around lunch time to check up on her, he finishes getting ready and leaves.

Santana tries to go back to sleep but her mind is racing with thoughts of the blonde in the next room. She decides to check on her by popping her head in, maybe that will ease her mind so that she can get some more sleep.

She creeps over the landing and slowly turns the doorknob, however is surprised when she sees the lamp on and an awake blonde in her bed.

Quinn looks up slightly startled, however, her facial features soften when she realises who's at the door.

"Hey, I'm sorry, I just wanted to check you were okay, I didn't expect you to be awake." She explains.

"It's okay, come in. Why are you awake?"

Santana enters the room and gently shuts the door behind her, "Oh, as quiet as Blaine was getting ready, I'm a light sleeper. Why are you up, you know you have a few more hours of beauty sleep before you need to move, right?"

Quinn pats the spot on the bed next to her and the Latina slips in bedside her.

"I suppose my body is used to being up at this time for Cheerios."

Santana's hums in acknowledgment as Quinn continues.

"That and I suppose I have a lot on my mind."

"If you're worried about people at school saying stuff to you, don't be. It'll be okay." Santana says as she lies down on her side to face the blonde.

"But I am worried Tana. I don't want people talking about me or approaching me. What if Finn tries someth-" She's cut of by Santana.

"Nobody is going to say anything to you, Lucy Q."

"But how do you know, you're not going to be there?" Quinn says as she shuffles down the bed to mirror Santana's position.

"No I won't be there but you'll have at least 50% of the Lopez siblings." She replies with a wink, which makes Quinn chuckle.

They lie in silence for a while until Quinn says, "Tana?"

"Yeah?"

"Will you, erm, will you just hold me until I have to go?" She's whispers softly.

"Turn over and flip the lights off." Quinn does as Santana says and shuffles backwards as Santana moves forward slightly. The blonde lifts her head so that the Latina can put her left arm beneath her neck and Santana wraps her right arm around Quinn's waist, to which Quinn interlaces their fingers over her stomach.

"Is this okay?" Santana says quietly.

"This is perfect Tana." Quinn replies as she pushes herself even further back into Santana's body, which causes her to wrap her arms tighter around the small frame of the blonde cheerleader.

I could get used to this.

Quinn was surprised to make it through the day without any snide comments from any of the student body.

She spent her lunch time with Blaine, Kurt and Mercedes and her classes flew by.

Before she knew it, she was walking towards Santana's car, with Blaine, who was waiting for them as promised.

Blaine gestures for Quinn to get in the front as he situates himself into the back and speaks up first, "So sis, what have you done with your day?"

"Nothing much really, I went for a run this morning, then I shifted some more stuff from my room, into yours and into the attic to make room for Q's things. Hope you don't mind I was in there Q." She says as she glances over at her blonde passenger.

"Tana, it's your room, of course I don't mind! And you do realise you're supposed to be resting, right? That means doing nothing."

"It's not in me to do nothing Q. I need to be busy to keep my fitness up, the last thing I need is to go back to training unfit."

Quinn looks away uneasily, starting to feel the lump forming in her throat that appears every time a reference to the army is made. She stares out of the window while Santana and Blaine chat about their day.

Before long, they've arrived at the Fabray residence and the three of them have clambered up the front steps. Quinn opens the door and none of them expect to see the scene infront of them.

Even though Judy wasn't exactly arrested at the scene a couple of days ago, it doesn't look as though she's been home either.

Items are in disarray and there is still dried blood coating majority of the floor. Quinn stands as still as a post and feels her knees begin to buckle.

Santana catches her before she hits the ground and pulls her back up to full stance. She gently swivels Quinn around so that they're face to face and pulls her into a hug.

Quinn hides her face in Santana's neck, who has ushered Blaine inside so that he can start boxing Quinn's belongings, clinging to the Latina with silent tears streaking her pale cheeks.

"That's your blood Tana. You were bleeding so bad and I couldn't stop it. I thought you were de-" Santana cuts her off before she can finish her sentence.

"Q, baby, look at me. I'm fine, okay, I promise. I'm not dead, I'm right here, with you." She says while cupping Quinn's cheek to make sure they maintain eye contact. "I'm not going anywhere."

Quinn moves back into Santana's arms, which move around the blonde's neck, as Quinn wraps hers around the brunettes waist, laying her head on the other girls chest so that she can hear a steady heartbeat.

"You just called me 'baby'." She whispers after a few moments of silence.

Santana's eyes widen at the realisation of what she's said and begins to stutter in an attempt to explain herself, "Oh my god, I'm so sorry. It just slipped ou-"

Quinn cuts her off with a finger on her beautifully puffy and inviting lips, "Don't take it back. I liked it." She says with a shy smile.

Santana begins to grin and kisses the tip of Quinn's finger that's still resting on her lips.

"I'll be careful not to let any other terms of endearment slip before you decide if you want to date me." She says cheekily with a wink.

Quinn rolls her eyes jokingly at the humour of the girl before her.

The decision was made long ago.

"Come on, let's get packed up and out of here as fast as possible. Just don't look in that direction, okay?"

And with that the two of them joined Blaine upstairs to pack up everything Quinn would need.

It's been a couple days since Quinn moved everything into the Lopez home. Everything's going well and she fits like a glove into the family dynamic.

Maribel is visiting Santana on her dinner break, when her daughter approaches her with a serious look on her face.

"Mami, there's a few things I need to talk to you about if you have a minute."

"Of course Mija, is one of these things your date with Quinn on Friday night?" She replies inquisitively.

Santana's eyes bulge from her head, "Okay I don't know how you already knew about that, but that is one thing I want to talk to you about."

Maribel just laughs and gestures for Santana to sit down at the breakfast bar while she stands opposite. "A mother always knows."

Santana rolls her eyes good-naturedly and accepts her mothers gesture for her to continue.

"Well first I just want to make sure you're okay with it. I mean, Quinn lives here now so I just wanted to air any issues that you may have. I'm sure you have some boundaries or something in mind."

"I think the fact that you've been mature enough to come and have this conversation shows me a lot Mija. Of course I have no issues with you dating Quinn as long as you treat her right. That girl is special and she is precious. She's been through enough recently without you or anyone, for that matter, messing her around. You make sure you treat her how you would want your daughter to be treated."

Santana ponders her mothers final sentence and she vows to herself that she will always keep that in mind.

"I would never intentionally hurt her Mami, I care for her deeply."

"I know Santana, I just wanted to make sure. I'm not going to enforce any 'open door' policies around here because I know they won't work, but for now, you will sleep in Blaine's room still, okay? You also don't have sex whilst I'm in the house and when you do, you always wrap it up." She adds with a hearty laugh.

Santana begins to blush at the line thoughts of being intimate with Quinn. "Don't worry Mami, we're a long way away from that. We haven't even kissed yet. I'm going to respect what she wants, I want to do this right."

Maribel feels her heart flush with pride when she hears the sincerity in her daughters voice. "I'm glad to hear that Mija, I know it's not exact but a happy wife is a happy life."

Santana nods as she understands what her mother is trying to say and appreciates it dearly.

"The other thing I want to talk to you about is Quinn's birthday. It's in two weeks and she'll be sixteen. I know you said that you would have temporary custody until her birthday, so what will happen to her after?"

"Santana, I hope you don't think I'm planning on throwing her out onto the street after the lecture I just gave you about treating her right," she chuckles, "I am happy for Quinn to stay here as long as she wants or needs, providing she's comfortable with that arrangement. If not, I will sit with her and discuss other options, she's part of the family now and we will look after her. We will have to do something about the sleeping arrangements though. We definitely can't have you living off that camping bed for much longer. I'm thinking we can put a single bed into the small study if that's okay with you but there won't be much room for anything else."

"Mami, I would sleep on that bed for the rest of my life if it meant Quinn was safe. Putting a bed in the study is fine, I will only sleep in there anyway, I spend most of my time with Q or Blaine so there isn't much need for any other furniture. I will just have to keep my draws upstairs and if Q needs any more space, I'll get some more, I'm sure she won't mind them in her room."

Maribel nods along and agrees that it is a plan. They decide that Santana can clear the study out over her next two days and then at the weekend, they can get a bed and move her into her new room.

"So then, tell me what you have planned for this date." Maribel says with a wide smile, breaking the silence between them, ready to hear about whether her daughter is a romantic.

Later that day, Santana picked up her brother and Quinn from school and drove them home.

Upon entering the house, Blaine immediately notices the furniture from the study dotted about the house.

"Hey San, what's going on with all the study furniture?" He shouts through to the kitchen.

"Oh yeah," Santana says as she re-enters the room, "I spoke with Mami and we're going to put me a bed in there, so I'll be out of your way soon bro." She chuckles.

Quinn is stunned by what she's just heard, "Tana, what do you mean you're putting a bed in there for you? I don't want to take over, if anyone is going to sleep in there, it's going to be me."

Santana makes her way to where Quinn is sitting on the couch and plonks herself next to her. "Q, I'm definitely not letting you sleep down here. I'm more than happy to stay in there, besides, I spend most of my time in yours or Blaine's rooms anyway, so I'll only really be sleeping in there."

"But it's your room Tana, not mine. I can't kick you out of your own room, what about all your stuff, it won't fit in the study. Plus you're making all these big changes and I'll be sixteen soon and we aren't sure what's going to happen to me."

"If you don't feel like it's your room Quinn, then we'll make it yours. You aren't kicking me out, I'm giving it to you, okay? Besides, I don't mind sleeping down here, closer to the kitchen for a midnight snack." She snickers, "As for your birthday, you need to talk to Mami on that one but she's not going to kick you out Q. You're welcome here as long as you want." She finishes with a smile.

Quinn looks to Blaine who is also smiling and lightly nodding.

"You're family now Quinnie. You better get used to it." He adds.
